Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

Being a gambler would be a shameful thing if you were in a place where gambling is illegal or not good and you share your gambler status to others and make people know that you're a gambler. And indeed it is normal that you be embarrassed if others knew you were a gambler places where gambling is illegal. Unless you're a person who has no shame, there would be no matter what happens.

It's not only about legality. Gambling is a legal thing where I live, but still it can be shameful if you gamble away the money your faminly needs to pay bills and to buy food and stuff. Also even if you don't spend a penny on gambling but play for free only, it can be shameful if you spend most of your free time on gambling. People around you need your attention so it's better to be with them than to gamble your time away behind the computer screen.

Yes very true, humans are social beings, and we as human beings have to make good relationships with other people, with the people around. Our life is outside, the outside world is our life, we can do anything outside. Instead of sitting in a chair padded mu with a little snack at your computer desk and gambled in front of a computer screen. It's not something that should be done by humans, humans were not created for it. Anyone who lives like that should be embarrassed.

It still does depend on a person on how he utilize its social part because there are people would rather choose to play in front of a pc rather than playing it outside.For me,its really enjoyable to play gambling on outside because you could able to boost up your social skills and relation among other people.Theres no need to embarassed anybody since they do have the free will to choose on where they play.

Yup, everyone will surely prefer to remain at home if it is indeed in the House they can do anything that can be done outside the home. Because most of the people will certainly choose to be near to his family. But it all does have risks, because they are doing is gambling. So if they can control themselves then it is not a problem but if it can't then it will be a big problem and their families one home with him could get a bad life
 

Big problem wont really exist if you do control yourself on playing too much gambling its either you go out or stay at your home.If you do have the control and discipline problems wont really exist or happen at all on the long run thats why its the most important thing should be realized first when you tend to play gambling.

I never been shameful on what i am because its my field and its the one im good for. Why would i take to be shameful if gambling is the only reason why i become happy and have a business even its small its still a source of funds for me than being a homeless guy who don't succeed

Well honestly they are not thinking for their future before they gamble just like me that in the end i am regret when i was lose a lot in gambling i just attracted by many methods that your self can be push to invest and gamble and following methods by others .. if you lose you will chase all of your loses until you will be addicted in the end i realized that gambling are made only for entertainment or past time purposes.. so now i just gamble but in other game like sports betting and i decreased my gambling activity.. so that i can not be lose more and be poor in the future and not become shameful..

You are not alone because most gambler do experience the same thing too on which those aims are always present.Its really hard to avoid and its very tempting to play when someone shows off a strategy on playing gambling and you saw that he is profitable then you will be tempted and try the same thing and hoping that you would really make money but sadly it doesnt work out anytime because it does matter on luck only.Being poor because of gambling is really a shameful thing.

What's the point of letting other people know if it will not give us an advantage to win, it is our life so we must be responsible with it with whatever we do. Gambling is purely a form of entertainment and since it is entertainment we have nothing to do when gambling but to enjoy.

Even if you keep saying that you're just gambling for fun, you still have the intention to earn some money from it that's why you keep doing it. Well that's more shameful rather than being caught that you are gambling your own money or if you have been caught while gambling because you have stole others property and the money you used for gambling came from there. It is better that you will just show yourself of who you really are rather than hiding under a mask. As long as I am gambling without hurting other people's feeling and character, it's fine to be called a gambler.

If I am convinced about what I am doing and I am solely responsible for it then I dont feel any shame whatsoever. Yeah quite true but I think even if it is illegal in your jurisdiction then its wrong to gamble but still not something to be ashamed off, really I am a gambler and I am quite happy with it.

Being shameful or not depends on how you judge gambling. Gambling is considered an illegal activity in some under-developed country and In my country, it is not illegal involving in casinos. Since Bitcoin was created, online casinos have been helped a lot and right now gambler can join casinos much easier than in the real world and it is not illegal using Bitcoin to gamble at all

yes very true there is another purpose of gambling, and it is sure to get the money. Because I'm sure, if there is no phrase "To make money" on gambling, gambling will not be a game that is sold to be played. I mean that the original purpose of gambling, which is the real purpose why people continue to gambling. Nice post. I feel exactly the same. There's no shame in gambling itself but if gambling causes negative effects to you and the people around you then there is something to be ashamed of. I've known people, businessmen and professionals, who were too addicted to gambling that they ended up in debt with their wives leaving them or their families broken. These are real stories that show us what irresponsible gambling can do and it is shameful if it comes to that.

I consider gambling as an entertaining game and I just do it in my spare time.
I'm not shameful to do that as I'm online gambler and nobody knows about it.

Very honestly I will like to say that I feel shame when I play gambling because in my society gambling is not consider as good activity, therefore I never like to know my friends and my family about my gambling activity, and that is the reason that I most play gambling online where my identity is mostly hidden being gambler.

Sometimes I feel shameful when gathered with friends who do not like to gamble but not when together with the gamblers in which we can discuss a way to be able to win when gambling.
