That fraudulent coin has struck a partership with that club? Eww. I don't expect LC fans to be any smarter than average monkeys about this. When you think about a real cryptocurrency, how could Bitcoin partner up with a club? Who would we send, fake Jesus or fake Satoshi? Roll Eyes

Liverpool denies partnership with Tron. lol.

Quote
A spokesperson at the football club told Decrypt : “Liverpool Football Club has confirmed that it does not  have a partnership with Tron.”

https://decryptmedia.com/6684/tron-liverpool-football-club-fc
More lies from the Tron group, now I know many of you dislike Ethereum but at least they aren't fuck heads like this.

(TRON is trying to take eths marketshare. Unfortunately Asian based coins try this through continued lies and manipulation that just piss people off.

In other news a guy was talking to his friends at lunch about Bitcoin and nano. I mentioned that I thought the bottom was in, he asked if I was a Bitcoin maximalists. I wanted to say no but then realized yeah except for just about eth only I am. I told him nano was shit, abc is shit, sv is shit and I think this cycle will put 50ish k and to dump at $48k.

Keep an eye on BnB, another competitor in town with their own tricks.

Unlike BTC and the way Bitcoin was described in the whitepaper the BCH alt now uses weak subjectivity as the basis of determining consensus.

In a limited manner, yes. For everything else, there is SV.

Nobody is going to use SV for anything.

You just can't help but to publicly display your exaggerated ignorance, can you? _I_ use SV. Ergo, your bald blanket assertion is ludicrously false on its surface.

Quote
Its just another altcoin,

Matter of perspective. In my book, anything that traces its history back to satoshi's genesis block and uses SHA-256 PoW is no mere altcoin.

Quote
the 28th with the word bitcoin in its name.

I've admittedly not been keeping track. I guess you have. Want to list them in the order of creation? Or are you just making shit up again?

Quote
When are you going to give up the farce?

By 'farce', do you mean my conviction that SV is the most important implementation of cryptocurrency? I suppose if it ever abandons the principle of being the best possible implementation of the protocol design bequeathed us by satoshi, that might cause me to give up. Though it may just cause me to fight for a return to principles. Exactly as I fight for BTC to return to the principles that initially made it a success.

Bitcoin price up 720,000,000 percent first recorded price

Quote
The evolution of money has historically gone through four key stages. From collectible to a store of value and then to a medium of exchange, and finally a unit of account (such as the US dollar today).

What makes Bitcoin unlike any type of money before it is how quickly it became an exchangeable good. Historically, it took eons for people to come to a consensus on a medium of exchange.

It's the rhetoric.

I am quite certain that if you started erecting spars 15 miles out in the gulf of Mexico and posting on FB about your libertarianism and self sovereignty the reaction of the USCG would be swift and unequivocal.

Global enclosure is nearly complete.  I really think that, short of an orbital Lagrange platform, the aircraft carrier is the only way.

I think an old supertanker or massive container ship would be a better option..  and a lot easier to obtain...

Granted, there would be more upfront work involved to make it usable.. but with those huge wide open holds, you could basically build in whatever infrastructure you want..  Kinda like buying an old warehouse and turning it into high-end flats...

Incidentally, on today's What Bitcoin Did podcast, host Dr Perter McCormack revealed that he did not know that Lightning does not use trustless payments when these txs are of a value below that of the cost of posting a channel closing tx.

Yes, this is the same issue BitUsher raised above.

It is not so much that LN has limitations. It is that any attempt to raise a discussion on these limitations is immediately shouted down. Mostly by people completely ignorant that these issues even exist.

You might want to ask yourself how confident you are in your knowledge that the technical design of LN is bulletproof. I'm not calling on you to post the results of this self-examination. Just be honest with yourself.

I don't think it too much to ask.

Bitfury Institutional Bitcoin Mining Fund Gains EU Regulator Approval

Quote
Blockchain tech giant Bitfury has partnered with a Swiss investment firm to release a dedicated bitcoin mining fund for institutional investors, executives confirmed on Twitter on April 24.

Bitfury, which develops various blockchain-related software along with mining services, confirmed that Final Frontier, in which it holds a minority stake, had gained regulatory approval for the fund from neighboring Liechtenstein.

Altcoins are droping even more than bitcoin and bitcoin dominance is rising. In my unprofessional opinion we will see money flowing back to bitcoin soon. The rocket is just fueling up.

All part of the process, nothing to worry about.

As you guys know (or should) I always keep an eye on www.coinatmradar.com to see how it grows.

For the past few months there wasn't any interesting thing to comment but now that has changed: For the past week the average of new ATM installations has reached a whooping *11* a day.

https://coinatmradar.com/charts/gauge/

It's like the rate has suddenly double/trippled in comparison to the past months/year.

Is there anyone here other than Mr. Toronto who actually uses these things? They seem weirdly quaint an idea to me. Literally everywhere else will give you a better rate on average.
