Bitsmain.com is a scam

www.bitmain.com that is the real site. BTC and LTC payments are instant. You can send a wire too, in UK pounds, it will be converted to dollars when reaching their account.

How much are customs per machine? ( not shipping, just taxes )
becaue im sure they are sending the invoice with the machine, so definately taxes are unavoidable for the EU

thanks

Has anyone had issues with the customs clearing ?
I have asked Bitmain to write the value in USD and not in BTC (thats what i paid with)
Also i heard that chinese vendors might lower the declared value if you ask them, wonder if that would work out in the end ...

I'm curious too about customs. I'm gonna have to deal with it in a little more than a week myself here in Greece. Expecting 25-30% of the value of the machine atleast. It's not just the VAT but import duties and some courrier charges.

Kariverson,

How many machines did you order? Maybe bitmain could say it was sent for repair and sent back to you. maybe you will pay less.
I don't think that it is correct to pay 300-400$us of taxes per machine. That is ridiculous man...

There is no any problems with customs clearance. The whole procedure is dealt with by the shipping company. You can only get an email asking for invoice translation. It is about giving what is being sold. The procedure lasts two, three days. After this courier brings the shipment and the document on customs clearance. Payment can be made at the courier.

Bitmain unfortunately does not underestimate invoices.

Just one. It's easily gonna be 350$ That's just the 24% VAT. I just hope the extra charges are not gonna be much. Unfortunately that's how it is. Nothing we can do when buying from a big vendor.

well let me know with an update how much taxes and clearance was...

If you were smart enough to purchase early for the July batch, you should've purchased more machines!!

I initially ordered for May!! But Bitman couldn't process my payment and they bumped me to July unfortunately. But I got a free power supply from it.
I did not have any more money for more machines haha. I tried to persuade friends for a group buy but they chickened out. Oh well I'll wait for next gen miner for more machines :p

What's peoples thoughts on the value of LTC, is there any reason to think it might jump and start climbing? such as development changes and countries adopting it that we know of?

weren't some sites saying it would reach $100 by year's end? I think its a bit much, but ethereum went from $10 to like $300 so...who knows.

its fair to say the harder something becomes to mine, the more expensive it SHOULD get, and barring a massive dump of coins on the market (again), LTC should have a very bright future.

Most people see it as a silver to Bitcoin's "gold", and although that sounds bad, its anything but. Brings a lot of faith, and with it,potentially long term stability, into the currency. Not a bad thing by any means.

I would also like to know more about this... I bought 4 units (to be delivered via UPS). So the miners will arrive right at my house? Or will be held somewhere awaiting some payment for release or something?

I got a bill from fedex for about 25 bucks per machine a few weeks after delivery.

In general,

Here in Europe... ( for me personally there wasn't much point getting them from China ). Custom and import fees would easily put an extra 500 to 600 euro on top if the catch you. Wich, they will where I live ( specially with all the terrorism ) anything larger than a pen gets checked!!
So I bought one from the Europe distribution point. A bit more expensive.. bud in return 2-year warranty ( mandatory in the Europian Union ). Easy access if something breaks, https://www.antminerdistribution.com/ that's the website.

The company is legit check all the registers for the company registration.

For the future hard to say..., I took the risk. Think that if you... wager the chance of success against failure there are enough outs to value the amount of money needed to buy one. Even dough it is overpriced and the market is in a bubble. I am newer to cryptos...so just think with common sense .....

or end up as a Donkey or Monkey  Smiley Smiley Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin,

Greetings

Mate, if they ask me for 500-600euro which is 50% of the money I paid, I'm gonna be all up their ass! That's robbery.
