Anyone else using the little ASIC's have one that puts out way more hardware errors then the rest? I have 9 in an Anker USB 3.0 hub and after 24 hours most of them show 40-60 errors but one of them is showing over 800 errors. I know what one it is, I've removed it and looked it over and I couldn't see any type of damage. I've tried plugging it in different ports in the hub but its always giving more errors then the rest.
I have a second batch of miners in an Airtech hub and they all show about the same amount of hardware errors, not one of them stands out like that other one.
Maybe I just have a runt in the group?
Oh, and if your looking for other places to get these miners, I've ordered a couple from bitcanary.com right now. They only cost .37 btc there, I'll let you all know if I have any issues with them.

Hi, been using slushs pool for a while now but have a question which I can't find the answer for anywhere obvious.
The email I registered with on the pool I no longer have access to. I need to change the address my payouts go to but believe this requires an email to verify. I can't see anywhere on the site or within my profile to change the registered address and have an amount of coins I don't want to lose in just registering a new account.

Are we mining the already found block?
Slush's stat page shows that we are mining 254832, however according to BTC Guild, this was already found by them:

This is consistent with blockchain.info
Is that why we are stuck for more than 8 hours? "barking up the wrong tree"?!

No. The page is showing which is the latest block it knows about, not the one we are working on. At the moment, its showing 254837, which is the latest one, found by deepbit. Even if we were working based on a too old block, this would not prevent us from eventually finding a share and going on with the next round. That found block would end up being invalid, but we would not be stuck. The current 10 hour round is, depending on how you want to see it, either just bad luck or totally probable within the variance caused by the systems. (Don't get me wrong, its quite unlikely for a round to last 10 hours - as you can see via CDF statistics, its only 0.3 %, but its very likely that at least some of our many rounds last that long.) |

BTC Guild helps it self grow massively and quickly by selling ASICs. Maybe Slush could employ someone to do something similar? or you could buy from btcguild and use them here. That is what i do. True, although not everyone here will visit BTC Guild... I hope they will after seeing these posts! |

It is not clear how solving the previous block would lead us to the next one... right now Height Age Transactions Total Sent Relayed By Size (kB) 254841 3 minutes 559 7,093.70 BTC 82.28.96.243 224.09 and Slush's stats says: Current Bitcoin block, difficulty: 254841, 65750060 so again it looks like we are out of synch with the network (bfgminer shows the next block number, in case we do not trust blockchain.info) |

mine average 1% error. ranging .6%-1.6% seeing how asic eruptors are plummeting nearing $30 each now, I would just plug it in and ignore it. |

no slush pool hasnt adjusted that stat yet. it is normal especially on long blocks |

A few days ago I changed my difficulty settings up to 5 for several of my miners, after changing it back to 1 the next day my Stratum proxy still shows the difficulty of 5.
I have tried the usual miner and proxy restarts several times.
Any ideas anyone? Need to set the difficulty back to 1 for my slower miners.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but why the slowdown lately?
Difficulty... I understand that but thought there might be some other factor going on (been out of town for the last two weeks so haven't been keeping up on bitcoin news). Never seen difficulty hit this fast, last week there was seeing 16-25 blocks a day. Then again there is always the randomness of it all. Thanks for your reply. |
