LOL I disconnected miner at 99.97% because I had to (powerful thunderstorm). Don't tell me that all work done before that is worthless [0.000000000] because [insert excuse a/b/c/d....]. It looks like returning to Slush pool was a mistake. End of story.

Lol........Slush is like that Ex you always end up with. All hot and heavy one day, then bam.....that time of the month, now EVERYTHING is your fault. So glad I missed that 14hr tantrum. Grin

Not sure if anyone else noticed this or not on there accounts. I got one round that did not get any payouts from it. I start mining on this round but lost power to my rig. Came back on shortly before the round was finished.

WOAH.....

Holy estimated DIFF coming up

Next   252000   13/08/2013 17:29                50'942'264.32

cant be right?!

The difficulty adjustment is an average across the two weeks.  Some blocks will take longer than others.  My estimator is currently predicting 45898197.93 although I'm imagining this will probably decrease some.  Unless a bunch of people are getting their miners in, which is possible and then fuck.

Rule of thumb about mining on slush.... either mine for 24/7 and have a stable computer/ASIC or be very lucky when choosing to disconnecting computers for maintains.

All of my GPUs are mining litecoin now earning about 6.5 to 7.2 LTC (0.20 BTC) per day with only 6100 KH/s while 7500 GH/s mining producing only about 0.10 BTC per day.

With difficulty hitting 50 million my ASICs will earn even less then my GPUs. Can't afford to spend any more on hashing power due to people getting their Minirigs and Singles..... but my hope is on Litecoin mining with GPUs.

Only benefits is ASIC is very low power consumption.

Oh, this is what big ASIC miners (and  ASIC Company) are doing to the total network speed. Just destroys the little miners......like me. Only hope is BTC value going up.

Just wanted to say thanks for a good run and slush is one bad ass admin.  Hate to leave the pool but my lowly 5770 just isn't cutting it on BTC anymore.  I've started mining LTC on WeMineLTC but if slush ever starts an LTC pool I'd be back in a second.  Thanks Slush, and go get some sleep.

You may want to find a Wiki on Bitcoin somewhere and just read up a little.  All rounds for all miners everywhere are (essentially) random.

I believe he may be thinking of things like Bitminter or BTCguild PPLNS rounds....  The Slush pool isn't like those.  A round in Slush is as long as it takes to find a block.  Could be 2 seconds, could be several hours.

Yes, Slush is best used 24x7.   Your score for a block decays very rapidly when you stop mining, unlike the more gradual decay of a DGM pool.  Leave for a couple of minutes and your reward drops towards zero very quickly.

Mined blocks are considered valid after 120 confirmations - then your unconfirmed reward will change into a confirmed reward and be elgible for payout.

EDIT:  make that 100 blocks....

This has always been confusing to me, so i'll try and explain it as simply as i can. Once the pool finds a block, every block found after that and added to the chain by anyone is considered one confirmation. Most pools look for 100 confirmations, or 100 blocks to be found subsequent to the one being found. so how long is 100 x (approximately) 10 minutes. or, about 16 hours.
