I received my D3 since Monday. I'm making 70USd per day......I wonder what will be the profit in December. I will be reselling my miner once I collect my investment. not worth it!! good luck November/December Batch

Its worth for only those who bought in the early batch, now profitability is going down each single day.

Not really because the first batch was sold for $2699 much more than the later batches.
My recommendation is NO GO for D3 even if the price of Dash increases...given the 3 batches on their way

I did not expected batches from 30k to 50k miners. My energy cost is 26 eurocent per KW. I orderd 4x 3d miners. Probely i dont have to plug them in at the end of november. Also a lot of pre sales of this batch online. Pff, bye bye 6000 euro + 1500 vat  Undecided or the dash price must dubble  Huh
just sell it with bit profit, man

Listen to him, he is right, try to sell around 2000-2500 each, or offer 2500 and someone will bargain lower it to 2200, and you will in a little bit profit when you sell them, and you can invest into other tech

Yes i will try to sell, but i live in the Netherlands. So here everybody has the high enegry cost problem. If i ship them abroad, then again the miners will be taxed with vat  Sad
The price of dash will easily double. I live in the Netherlands too. I want to soon start a miners cooperative. I know how to get industrial power rates, just need to get enough capital. So you go to any bitcoin meetups around Amsterdam?

It could be worse for you, i sent my miner to France.   A country that is trying to match the US in fascism. My first miner was stolen at customs. This one was held for regulatory  review. Complete bs as its 100% legal. But this time my lawyer prepaired. If it is stolen or held unjustly they will soon see an injunction.

Txs for the offer, but i skip. I did a more exact kwh calculation. It is for now like 19 euro cents. I buy kwh for 0,04609 eurocent so its already very cheap. By tax i go with 4 miner easy above the decreased energy tax by over 10.000 kwh. So next tax deduction is by over 50.000 kwh (like 50 asic miners). This give me a advantage of 0,03596 eurocent per kwh. Overall thats 150 euro a month for al 4x 3d miners. That is save at home and no extra housevest cost and others. But its a nice idee if prices go up and advantage of no noise at home  Wink

I've got 1 unit in middle of Oct too (I think it is then)... so with all the difficulty FUD (if true) 12 month ROI would be heaven  sent at this rate of D3's etc hitting the world

No clue. Should probably sell. But badly need the equip deduction.

I do know however that difficulty has to be going up a lot less and x11 coin prices (dash) have to go up by at least 1/3 of what it is now
or it is an unwinnable game and we have bitmain doorstops before xmas....(this is just plain silly) Sad

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Thanks for the advice, I read somewhere bitmain can release a firmware update to enable x13 / x15 coins? if this is true will it completely change the ROI times?

Well, at the point of time miners would actually use such x13,x15 or whatever it would be more of a 'pacifier' in the sense that .....would be something to mine
with at end of life of the unit as a speculation to get a mess of these protocol coins for the heck of it and two ...someone ..could make a  protocol of something
for new coins ..that could take off as well...also  a hedge to hold..if/when x11 coins start to fade

not a big deal, but would be nice...this is exactly what I should be doing with my x11 baikal 300mh cube...finding a protocol of something besides an x11 coin
that is gonna pump and take a flyer on it working out...long odds...but better odds then my other goal to be natalie portman's love puppet....

so like the guy below says ...that applies to the above

again...would be a 'cute' option to have..but again..most would use it at end of life on speculative coins other than x11 when that time comes imho

New algoritmes are good news for the 3d miner, because x11 are not mutch coin so it will change the game a bit.

The network difficulty gone be toff, because the september batch is part running, like in the middle. End of this batch i think difficulty around 7M, so october batch 6M extra, november batch a extra 6M. So ROI today by 4M must be devided by around 4 or 5 times.

But just like the L3(+) miner the had the same worries, but the situation now is glad to be a antminer owner  Grin

I don't get it. Why everybody complains on D3 being not profitable ? If you compare it to L3+ and S9, it is more profitable now, but will be about the same by the time november batch hits.

Maybe you get a ROI of 6-9 months. That is still awesome.

You can mine it for an year perhaps.

7nm is not coming anytime soon to asics.

Bitmain might release a D3+ with, say, 20GH but at that point your D3 will have paid for itself and you'll just profit less.

If you're lucky, dash will appreciate and btc will hit 5000+ in the mean time.

I don't get it. Why everybody is crying?!?

Maybe some of us don't want to wait 6 or 9 months to ROI my l3+ ROI was 4 weeks.

Difficulty..my man ...difficulty....that with bitmain putting them out every couple of weeks in 20k batches...you do the math..(assuming your x11 coin of choice goes sideways and/or drops in price)

We are all betting on a pump in x11 price, we can pretty much count on bitmain putting them out like toasters...and so for this turkey to fly...we have to have a price rise
to counteract bitmain's toaster policy...of out the door soonest.......or it is penguin city as we try to fly .plop we land with a crash ..and we slide off the glacier into the sea..full of sea lions (shudder)....

THIS IS IF  difficulty outstrips price of x11 coins....to the point where it costs more electric to mine than you get in crypto.....it won't matter if the price of crypto goes up on x11 coins 2-3 months after that...will be too late..

point.....you will have shot your wad and been unable to mine....

i will gonna mine anyway because i will have basically free electricity Cheesy i work in government institution and boss already agreed that i can plug in D3 at work so i wont have to pay electricity bills Smiley but still because of difficulty profits will suck Sad

7nm chips are in production right now. Why do you think Bitmain flooded the market with their 16nm tech? Out with the old, in with the  new. Ya got a whole bunch of dumbasses that paid such high prices for 16nm chips in their ASIC miners, that it will  take them 1.5 years to pay the initial cost. Trust me, by then 7nm will be in full bloom and production. So bottom line....you don't know what you're talking about.

You only live once....if you do it right, once is enough.

How many batches of D3 were sold ? anyone kept a count ?

Sorry i doubt that anybody did.

batch 1    July 18
batch 1.5 July 25
presumably 7K both

batch 2    August 3      presumably 5k units
batch 3    August 11    presumably 5k units
batch 4    August 16 + extra units presumably 10-15K units

after this i'm not sure about batches

batch 5    August 17        presumably 20k units
batch 6    September 5    presumably 20k units
batch 7    September 14  presumably 20k units

assuming there is 100K units sold and all mining dash and price stays same, difficulty will be  around 55mil 4 day without electricity bills, not as bad as i thought Cheesy

Calc link with 100k units online https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/dash-mining-calculator/?h=15000.00&p=1200.00&pc=0&pf=0.00&d=55000000.00000000&r=1.80147602&er=0.09457800&btcer=3841.00010000&hc=0.00
