my last withdrawal from cryptsy wont be confirmed.
i can se it in my local wallet, but it stays unconfirmed.
any idea whats up?
wallet is synced and running

Do you match the block explorer? http://cap.cryptocoinexplorer.com/

What is the transaction id?
6a61ac5ae1d6f0f081d559622523dff5106e63c9ad465b4f3ac49e9b5748ab54
its not my first withdrawal, all others went good.
maybe the error is on cryptsys end?

Perhaps try a restart with -rescan and see, if that helps. I don't see that transaction ID in the explorer. They may need to resend.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

GOT STAKE!

Being one of the 'more' than 10k coin holders I want BTCig steak next. Are there any ongoing plans/ideas for increasing the value of the coin?

I accumulated the coin because of the work Tranz put in night after night. CAPs has 4.3M coins, over a year of PoW mining behind it and 400'ish MHs mining on it now. The way I see it 25% of coin exists in wallets and as it sits on one exchange CAP seems as whale-proof as any coin can be.

With no gimmickry attached to the coin I think that as an investor I would like to see the coin's purpose being a manipulation resistant way of generating alpha. Along the lines of Tokoghetto's prior post

If you want to attract new investors and breath life into this coin, then please understand the concept of generating alpha.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_(investment)

The alpha coefficient (\alpha_i) is a parameter in the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). It is the intercept of the security characteristic line (SCL), that is, the coefficient of the constant in a market model regression.

\mathrm{SCL} : R_{i,t} - R_{f} = \alpha_i + \beta_i\,  ( R_{M,t} - R_{f} ) + \epsilon_{i,t} \frac{}{}
It can be shown that in an efficient market, the expected value of the alpha coefficient is zero. Therefore the alpha coefficient indicates how an investment has performed after accounting for the risk it involved:

\alpha_i < 0 : the investment has earned too little for its risk (or, was too risky for the return)
\alpha_i = 0 : the investment has earned a return adequate for the risk taken
\alpha_i > 0 : the investment has a return in excess of the reward for the assumed risk

...

All altcoins are excessively risky. This is why we need high interest, to mitigate those losses. This is why coins with high interest results in higher volatility. This also gives the potential for higher returns, which is an attraction to investors and traders.

This is based on the concept that riskier assets should have higher expected returns than less risky assets. If an asset's return is even higher than the risk adjusted return, that asset is said to have "positive alpha" or "abnormal returns". Investors are constantly seeking investments that have higher alpha.

Invested enough to care?

Happy birthday CAP!

Finally, I started a comparison feature of familiar high-PoS. The goal is not competition (X is best than Y) but cross-fertilisation (X has feature A but not feature B that Y has; let's add it). Inspiration is the improvement in 3D video card after 3D benchmarks arrived in the 90's. I only added feature that are unambiguously beneficial (bold part, the italic part are just information and prone to change).
Proof-of-stake List - Features comparison (it is a multitabbed spreadsheet and this tab is a new one)

Monero: the first crytocurrency to bring bank secrecy and net neutrality to the blockchain.HyperStake: pushing the limits of staking.

Thank you Unick Smiley
I added a "Optimal block size" column on Proof-of-stake List - Features comparison.

Also, if people can get a canonical URL for downloading blockchain (and helping newcomers), I'd be happy to mention it on the spreadsheet.

I still like this coin... even though it's never staked.

My info says:

Stake Weight....... 14474
Network Weight.... 69070

You have a 50% chance of producing a stake next 47 minutes.

Now this has been an hour or less at least 18-24 hours...
So if each hour is a 50/50 coin flip...
I have just flipped 24 heads in a row to not stake.

Based on the coin info my chances of NOT STAKING would be about 1 in 16,000,000...
So these numbers are off by SEVERAL ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE.

But I still like this coin  Grin

If my understanding is correct, coins received prior to July 4th, still needs 30 days before they stake. Only new transactions after the July 4th cutoff, will be eligible for staking after just 15 days

this is supposed to be accurate, I guess we will know for sure in about 5 days, around July 19th, the first Tx would have the minimum age for stake.

Excited about this!! Getting sick of cryptsy!  I can personally say that coin-swap is legit and has been very professional and quick to reply to any support requests.... compared to waiting for days to hear from phoebe at cryptsy.

No kidding. Moving trades over.

However, 0.5% trade fee, which is higher than Cryptsy at 0.25%.

+1 Here,

It took them over 10 days to respond to the missing deposits due to the fork, and when they did it was like: is the issue fixed? if not let us know!!!!!

what the hell! I am a very patient person, but having this kind of response from a support department is just a big turn off for me!

Glad to see coin-swap trading CAP and soon allcoin will add it!

I'm at about 1.5 months right now on one of my other coins and have just transitioned from being on the Pending list (around 70k confirms) to now being in the land of the lost after offering apologies and also asking me for an update.
