Today BTC/QRK pair was added at https://cryptonit.net exchange!

We enable trading today however QUARK deposits/withdrawals will be available from 24th of September 14:00 CEST
Thus everyone can get ready Wink

Speaking about new altcoins, we have got our own Manifest to consider before to add some new coin to trade.
We beleive that Quark is worth trading at Cryptonit because it is completely open source, was not premined, has extremely strong hashing algorithm, QRK developers have never offered us money for integration.
Our full manifest can be found here https://cryptonit.net/documentation/manifest

Most important:
Though we have been on the crypto scene since 2012 we did not run any serious promotion campaigns and never announced our service officially. Providing the community exchange services is a huge responsibility. For this reason it took us more than a year to learn mistakes of similar projects and polish Cryptonit. We admit that it is still not the state-of-art service and many features are still to be implemented. However what we offer really works and is well-tested during the last 12+ months. There are customers who have already used Cryptonit with great satisfaction and we hope they will drop some feedback here.

Regarding your question concerning QRK trading. We have decided that it will be fair to announce the start of operations in advance.

Should you have any further questions, feel free to contact us.

Kind regards
Edward Cryptonit Support team

Just checked the sell order list at cryptsy and copied it to an excel sheet to count the total amount of Quark for sale. When I checked bter (A chinese exchange) there was not much more Quark for sale (about 200-300K Quark)

I am surprised it is so low, because the total number of Quark circulating is >247Million Quark, and the Quark community has been reduced significantly the past weeks.

Anybody an idea why the amount Quark for sale is so low at the exchanges? Is it because Quark holders don't like speculating/trading? Or because Quark users hold their Quark until shaq-fu is released and can be used for everyday payments?

Just wondering....and would like to hear your story why you hold your Quark :-). Also like to hear other opinions why Quarks for sale could be that low.

Total Quark for sale:   258.890

Yes so only 1000th of the qrk available is for sale. I still think many outside investors bought a few hundred bucks of qrk to sit on for years. Most will probably forget they even have it. I would say fair price should be around 10k sats. Most of the qrk investors that bought at 20k + will never sell until they see a profit anyway.

Agree about the fair price of 10k sats, and I indeed think that some investors wait until it will rise again.
Only I am surprised that ALL Quark holders are so patient. I think that is pretty special :-)

Mostly crypto investors start to become nervous when prices drop for such a long period, and at a sudden point they take their losses and you notice large dumps at exchanges.

There will not much happen if you only buy Quark, and then wait for a miracle to happen.

Therefore I was thinking that there could be something else explaining the low amount of Quarks present for sale....

EDIT: Bronevic also started (independent from me) a QRK analysis at cryptsy. Bronevic can search in all wallets at cryptsy and didn't count more than 280.198 QRK: http://www.reddit.com/r/QuarkCoin/comments/2gy38a/my_entityanalisys_detected_cryptsys_16445/

Will you sell at more than 90% loss? Smiley Do you wait for 97% loss again?   Roll Eyes

Many of the outside investors do not think in the short time scale that crypto has existed.  Many normal investments are 5, 10, 20 year plans.

Is there any road map with future plans?  Quark has been an interested ride, just curious to see what is being worked on or where it's headed.

The main Quark projects can be found here: http://quarktalk.cc/

Here you can help, donate and cooperate for many Quark related projects. And with each post you get a Quark reward Smiley

Not sure what you mean and whether it is related to Quark.

Do you mean that most investors in Quark bought their Quark, transferred it from the exchange to their private wallets and are waiting 5, 10, 20 years? And they don't care it is dropping in price since January 2014?

Yes, why not.

I have put my QRK into coldstore for now, and I will not consider selling for years. I don't care how low it goes.

I think that is very special.
I try to imagine why one would do this. I come to the following options (maybe I forget some):

- You (together with a team?)are working very hard for Quark and believe what you do will be once very valuable (I once belonged to this group, but I think looking back it was a bit naive of myself).
- You have a very strong believe in the team working for Quark and you believe that that once will make Quark very valuable.
- You believe in fortune tellers and a fortune teller told you once that you must buy and hold Quark whatever happens and then in the end you will become very rich.
- You (together with a team?) hold more than let's say >50% of Quark + a lot of bitcoins and are waiting for the right time to pump the Quark price (based on Ripple/Next or something).
- You really don't care that Quark will be one time worth nothing because you are also involved in other coins. You just spread your risks in different coins and some will die and some will be valuable.

Yes, i agree, most investors in qrk are not the usual pump and dumpers of other crypto. They were introduced to it through an external source. These type of investors think in time scales of years not days.

However, it does have negatives. These people are not involved with crypto in anyway and do not contribute to the development of qrk in any other way than to take qrk from the market and hold the price up. You can realistically think of qrk as a 100M or less minting coin until the price hits 50k +.  Long term investors don't cash out early unless there are large profits to be made.
