It says exclusive, meaning not including anything else. So why in that picture, its showing a computer with a power supply.
It also looks like Microsoft stickers on those computers.
This isn't hash fast exclusive house. It contains other things.
There's the interpretation that HashFast exclusively uses Ciara as an assembler, and the interpretation that Ciara (a company with over half a million square feet of primary assembly space) has HashFast as their exclusive customer. I shouldn't have to tell you why no rational person would interpret it the second way. Sorry but ROFL

Seems there's full of words puzzles. All are about consumers' money. It says exclusive, meaning not including anything else. So why in that picture, its showing a computer with a power supply.

Still haven't heard back about the refunds :/
Unless HF starts communicating soon and comes up with concrete shipping dates and delay compensation plans I will be asking for a refund on Nov 10. I ordered on the first day and have copies and screenshots of the site, the terms of sale, invoices, receipts, etc. I'm not too worried. This may have already been done, but could you post your screen shots of the terms of sale and the site from August?

I thought I read a while back that HF and Cointerra were using the same chips. Is that correct or did I miss-read something a while back?

Then KNC can charge silly unprofitable prices for their December deliveries and still sell out of chips.

sorry, another bad news meanwhile KnC is talking about 20nm and 16nm, currently in development Unbeknown to the community we are currently developing the next generation product in 20nm/16nm process with Alchip, and we have much more to offer our customers, both past and future with respect to our mantra of under promising, and over delivering, none of which we could have delivered upon alone.

To think that I was this ->| |<- close from ordering a BabyJet unit from HashFast as a second unit after a KnC Saturn. The only thing that stopped me was lack of hosting solution from HashFast. Otherwise they looked solid. Now, I hope that KnC delivers a 16nm device before my 6-month hosting contract with them expires, so that I could upgrade on-site.

HashFast has yet to propose you a hosting contract because they can't even find a solid and cheap hosting provider. John said that the last quote he had was 6k for 6 months for a sierra (1500W). It's something like one order of magnitude too much expensive.
Source: when i was trying to help him to offer a good hosting option, before that they screwed us all.
So really, f them and their incompetence, and f us for giving them our money.

If things go wrong with the Ciara contract, Hashfast is not allowed to solicit any other assembly bids? Did i get that straight?

No sane company would agree to such terms. Most likely IMO, "exclusive" is just a marketing word tossed on the page with no contract behind it. They are just using Ciara exclusively at this point, but that could be subject to change. Who knows though, they could have been stupid enough to sign something that says they can't assemble somewhere else.

Well, I guess IceDrill didn't get his answer, or he didn't post it.
I retain a positive outlook, but I'm adding my voice now to those saying that HashFast needs to step up to the plate with improved and more detailed communication.
HF doesn't have to publicly engage every itchy customer with 500 repetitive and pedantic questions and demands, but statements clarifying the state of affairs and the company's plans are in order.
It's important that these statements be specific and unambiguous. They should not be laden with squishy qualifications or conditions that cast doubt on the meaning of what's being said.
Crisis Communication 101. They teach crisis communicators some underhanded tactics, but some good stuff too. The cardinal rule of crisis communication is to get out in front with the facts. Not getting out in front with the facts leads to rumors, conspiracy theories, anxiety and a disgruntled public... sound familiar?

In their defence, Sometimes giving the public actual information just leads to more or a greater ferocity of "rumors, conspiracy theories, anxiety and a disgruntled public". They might be following the Golden Rule? "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all"

I think you are right that there is a certain percentage of the population - here and anywhere (think conspiracy theorists) - that are going to be disgruntled about *any* statement. OTOH, if information is clear, honest, and lends the impression that problems are being dealt with responsibly, it should be reassuring for most people. What they need to explain is that there's plan, it's realistic, and it's being handled as the utmost priority of responsible, qualified adults. I think the 'legacy' of BFL weighs heavily here. As the great George Bush said, "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
