For those that are still interested in receiving their miners, I would like to report that it is possible to get your non-cashed refund checks cancelled and your B1 orders re-instated by hashfast.  I'll keep the forum updated when they deliver (for 60BTC day one order, hopefully it is before they start shipping B2).

I don't recommend going through the support phone service.  They are just a screen and is a totally useless avenue to reach anyone who can do anything.

I mailed sales@hashfast.com and copied refunds@hashfast.com but I think it was the sales email which created the case which then had them followup in email.

Once they got back to me, they wanted me to confirm the check numbers and amounts to cancel.

Once confirmed, we will be happy to reinstate your place in the shipping queue.

While still not ideal, I think this is still a much better option than the the unsolicited refund offer.  Hopefully they will get this initial order out shortly as well as the MPP and us B1 BTC buyers will be looking at only a 60% loss rather than the 90%+ (with taxes) of the USD buyout.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Auya3iRE6az1dGtKTGZDXzVDeFVjbHl3VmNsT216dHc&usp=sharing

Though it all now depends on MPP delivery on minimizing the loss.  Hopefully I will be able to get mining before the weekend... tick tock.
Stratagem #2, Screw BFL HashFast by getting them to commit to a delivery, offsetting their Batch 2 deadline orders?
Then sell off the MPP obligation + the original hardware in an after market to some great fool?

Sounds interesting.

Better than an 88% loss.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Also, I paid direct to a wallet address. No Bitpay involved.

You can pick up 400 GH/s now for 3.8 BTC. How many BTC did your Baby Jet cost?

Delivered within days at no risk; perhaps we can move on from all this preorder madness.

I have a mFi power strip so I don't know how accurate it is compared to a kil-a-watt but it says that the miner is drawing 497/498 watts overclocked to 500Gh (650 mhz core clock).

For comparison it says the raspberry pi is drawing 2.5 watts.

So anyone hook up a killawatt to the BJ?

let's see some numbers.

And while we are at it, can somebody who is getting their BJ delivered now take a detailed picture of the PCB so we can compare the revision number with one that was delivered earlier? Is it really an updated PCB?

If they have a working PCB, and they are capable of boxing up all the units with light speed, all should ship out this week (or is this yet another lie/broken promise)

If it's an old PCB, they must have been testing them (mining?) to sort out the less bad ones...

Good point SolarSilver! They should be delivering now at warp speed with the deadline for batch #2 so close (jan-31), so something must hold them back.

How are they going to use the power supplies that they showed at the factory all those months ago for the Sierras.   Weren't they 750W power supplies?   If the sierra will draw 1500W it is going to need two 1000W psus to power the boards.

How do you adjust the clock rate? I had a peek through the cgminer source and the firmware but I couldn't figure out how to change the clock rate.

I haven't gotten anything yet and I live pretty close to CIARA.  But I'm batch two.

I'll be putting these out to pasture on the PPC network as soon as I get them, I guess.

Wait, so after their track record you still expect them to deliver the MPP in a timely manner??

Also, I'm sure the time slot they had reserved with CIARA is gone now and that's why they've been shipping from their San Francisco office, so expect shipping to take a while.

but they knew they would have other batches, so wouldn't there be other timeslots on the schedule?

they could push out the backlog during the next go around right?

You have a product that loses value for every second that is not producted.

You don't wait for cheap timeslots at Ciara. You choose someone else or you pay a premium.

CIARA is not hard to get a hold of, when I talked to my contact there yesterday he assured me there were people from HF assembling at their location as he wrote to me. He also confirmed that they are shipping some of their stock to HF in SF, when I asked why nothing had shipped from their location.

no one said they were smart...  just saying if they had other batches, and this silly exclusive deal, there must be a schedule or all batches would be shipped in same week

It's not being smart, it's the alphabet.

It would be incredibly interesting to know how much Ciara has been assembling for HF and when. And for that there is the law... Or greenbtc's contacts, i assume (and i'm assuming this user and this source to be trusted, not something we should do).
