no one said they were smart... It's not being smart, it's the alphabet. It would be incredibly interesting to know how much Ciara has been assembling for HF and when. And for that there is the law... Or greenbtc's contacts, i assume (and i'm assuming this user and this source to be trusted, not something we should do). My contacts are nothing special, cedivad. Go onto CIARA's site, find the contact us, shoot them an email with your concerns about their partnership with HashFast and they will tell you all you need to know--FIRST HAND--so you don't have to keep trusting other sources. I feel like while HF fucked up big time, the majority of the FUD in this thread *most* don't do their own due diligence and follow up. I hear you all complain about not being able to get in touch with HF or Ciara or Seasonic or Uniquify and all it takes is a quick email I've found to get answers--and they even get on John and make him respond to emails.

Well, i tried to send an email to Uniquify for example, with a really simple question they could have answered but they decided not to.
I don't really think that we or you were supposed to have the answer you got from Ciara, they have been kind. I guess that HF is firing them an email right now telling them to be silent (or better, Amy is doing that in person), but if you are able to have some data on how many hours they worked, when, and how many units got out of that assembly line, it would be useful.
And no, i really can't define mine FUD.

To be honest, I don't think any company, even in the fortune 500, would answer the questions you're asking. Ask the right questions and figure out the rest yourself. I've emailed CIARA twice already, got answers both times...so I don't think I was "lucky" in getting a response.

Has anybody been able to narrow down the rhyme or reason behind HF's recent BJ shipments? It obviously isn't by order of purchase. Thanks.

The question i asked Uniquify was the complete name of the company named "HashFast" in their PR. Not sure if it was HashFast Technologies Inc, LLC, or the one in Delaware, or maybe something else. Quite sure it was a question they could have been answered.
So, care to share what are the answers you had from Ciara so that we can try to "figure out the rest" together?

I don't think you and I are looking for the same answers, unfortunately. What I'm interested in is their product, not what has happened in the past (as far as their ToS changes, screwing customers, etc.), or their current customers. What I asked CIARA was this: "Hi XXXXXX, Are you sure your partnership is still current? I am seeing what little product they have shipping from San Francisco, when it's supposed to be shipping from your location. Can you please confirm whether or not you are assembling these at your location? If not, what happened? If you are, are you sending them straight to HashFast in California? Thanks, MYNAME" ANSWER: "Yes it is Some of HashFast staff is working at our facility as I am writing to you And yes we are partially sending some to them in California Regards SIGNATURE" I gave you the guy's name in a PM, and if you google it, you can find him presenting CIARA's previous products--so it seems legit. I do not claim to have any more information than this.

Are they trying to mine their way out of this mess? Sending units to HashFast from Ciara seems like double handling to me. (before anyone tries to answer, that was a rhetorical question)

http://www.coindesk.com/coindesk-mining-21e6-kncminer-hardware/HashFast is being sued
San Francisco-based HashFast Technologies is facing a lawsuit based on its failure to ship its miners on time.
The issue in contention is clearly the price of bitcoin since it has risen so dramatically since July. According to the Bitcoin Price Index, the aggregate value of bitcoin was quite low at that time, bottoming out at $66.34 per BTC.
HashFast had guaranteed Baby Jet miner shipments by 31st December 2013. Since it has apparently failed to do so, customers who pre-ordered in July are demanding refunds in bitcoin. However, the company is adamant that they have been shipping.

For those who want to re-instate their orders... I have been told this is the process: Thanks for your email. For any customer that DOES NOT want their refund check & wants their order to be placed back in the queue, please instruct them to mail the checks back to: HashFast Technologies c/o: Erin or Cara 100 Bush Street Suite 650 San Francisco, Ca. 94104 and to have them email refunds@hashfast.com & erin@hashfast.com to advise me that this has been done. Hope that helps someone...

As an addendum... While they didn't say anything about the checks needing to be voided, I would protect yourself and VOID them if you decide to go this route. Right now the USD refund looks like the worst of the crappy options for those of us who paid in BTC, so I am going with the re-instated order.
My checks were made out to me, so someone would have to forge my identity to cash them... but still... why take any more chances.

And when do you think you'll get your MPP?? With the current difficulty you'll be making at most 3 BTC in the next month and then less there on after when cointerra, black arrow, and finally KNC releases their miners. You might actually be better off with the USD value... (which I wouldn't recommend since I believe we should all be suing for our promised refunds in original BTC amount)

If they get the MPP out by the end of Feb. my modeling looks like 12 BTC for the life of the 5 machines. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Auya3iRE6az1dGtKTGZDXzVDeFVjbHl3VmNsT216dHc&usp=sharinga far cry from 60BTC... but better than 6... I guess I am foolishly optimistic that the MPP will ship quickly with/after B2 as there is no CIARRA assembly. They just package the boards from their PCB manufacturer and ship. And who knows... once they actually start shipping "in volume" they might honor the implied commitment to deliver 90 days after Oct. 30th ... /shrug Not holding my breath though...

I guess the other option to weigh is cash the check now, buy a bit over 7.1BTC, add on a half coin to buy 4 Antminers that will ship in the next day or two if you pay now. It's 800GH/s now vs 400 soonish and 1600GH/s soon™, but it's depressingly a more even match than it should be.

Have them certify to you that this "out and back in" does not deprive you from your MPP, before any other move.

Hi Jim, Thank you so much for your patience while I got the answer for you, I greatly appreciate it.
The answer is if you buy Baby Jet for 51 BitCoins today and it does not ship, you will be refunded the 51 BitCoins you paid.
I hope that helps and hope you have a good weekend!
Thanks, Cara Promise or estimate, for I clearly read the word 'if' in Cara's reply? Also, I couldn't help but notice there's a lot of hope in that reply.

If they opt for email only confirmation, then post it here, with dozens of confirmations of MPP being reinstated you can sue them if they back out later.
