John Skrodenis emailed me and asked me to specify that the notification I received was not for shipping for batch two, but rather just to check my mailing address.
Apparently a lot of B1 customers are upset and he wanted me to clarify this.
B2 customers are upset also. Did he clarify when B2 would start shipping? Forgive me, but B1 customers have a right to be A LOT more upset, *especially* if Hashfast ships B2 immediately after B1, without shipping B1 MPP first. That'd just add EVEN MORE insult to B1 customers, who obviously (mis)placed trust in Hashfast and provided the funding necessary for them to do anything in the first place. Not saying they should intentionally further delay B2 shipment by any means; just that they should either ship B1 MPP first, or somehow otherwise make it up to B1 customers in a meaningful way. My sentiments exactly.

1 babyjet received today in Sydney Australia.
It looks like the box copped a bit of throwing around in transit. The unit arrived with 6 screw rattling around inside. The aluminium tray supporting the hashing board was loose... (they could really do with some lock washers) another screw or two and the circuit board would have been crashing around inside the box. Anyway.. looks like no permanent damage done.

Well that's disappointing. I can't get any signs of life out of the unit.
Unfortunately the standard motherboard cable for the seasonic power supply wasn't included so I can't work out how to plug it into my PSU tester - but so far it looks suspiciously like the power supply is dead.
There's a 10 pin power connector which I don't recognise and doesn't exist on my other PC power supplies.. so It looks like I don't have anything suitable to use as a replacement.

HashFast Update:
We are pleased to announce that due to Black Arrow pushing back their shipping date several months, our customers who ordered Baby Jets and Sierras WILL recognize a higher ROI on their investments.
Our PR firm, LD Johnson & Skropenis, is in constant contact with Taco-Taco on BitcoinTalk, of which we loathe.
Meanwhile, Simon and his lovely wife, Amy, are taking a well-deserved vacation now that most of the miners sold have been delivered.
Not to let the cat outta the bag, but the 14nm chip is almost taped-out, readying for silicon and will act as the core of the Latinum Nonce ASIC for our next generation miners.
Stay tuned.

It'll appear like its dead until you hook up the Raspi. Fans will start moving when it starts hashing.

I would have expected to see at least some light/movement. There is a mysterious button on the front too. Some instructions in the box might have been nice!

I didn't see any effect from pushing the buttons. The unit is hashing... a bit. It's unstable so far. Keeps dropping down from 420GH to less than 1MH. Temperatures should be fine - it's in an air conditioned room.

You can try using your own computer and the newest version of cgminer. Some people have reported instability with the raspi.

But as far as the put money down thing, Avalon didn't take 1st batch orders until Jan 2013. Which filled up damn quick as did batch 2 in Feb (?) and then the full crazy happened by the third.
I think you are mixing up your dates: Avalon Batch 1 orders had to be paid either in USD for > 30 unit orders or in BTC in September 2012, when there was not even a chip designed. The actual BTC payment I can see here for my Batch 1 units is 20120924 Further batches were only payable in BTC Batch 2 Wave 1: 20130204 Batch 2 Wave 2: 20130218/19 There are 2 people who did twist Yifu's arm and paid with a wire transfer in January 2013 (he forgot to cancel their standing order) but they only got their machines delivered in May or later, completely screwing them over. A nice bit of Soup Nazi there.

The only reason I even put money down on BFL was because for nearly a year they were the only bitcoin ASIC manufacturer with anything public you could put money down on. BFL's ASIC was announced summer 2012. Avalon's ASIC September 2012. Am i wrong? BFL ASIC pre-orders started June 2012. Avalon pre-orders started much later and got to the market much quicker. Keeping my powder dry for Avalon would have been much better than believing BFL's October 2012 shipping date. The BFL pre-orders were supposed to ship before you could even put any money down on Avalon.

This post is to tell HF that a shiny new design that freezes on half of the computers it's displayed won't help with their sales. The BFL pre-orders were supposed to ship before you could even put any money down on Avalon. You are right. And it's incredible how things on how customers accepting to be screwed are actually changing, starting from HashFast. It should have happened a year ago, but latter is better than never.

Hi together,
I received today my BJ, where can I find the Raspberry. They deliver only the case with one board, one network cable (for what), one usb cable and one wrong power cabel (I´m from germany).
All screws are falling arroung the case, really ALL.
Also there was no MPP boards with this shipment. And I have not to pay any taxes, the BJ comes with Fedex

Just connect a standard computer to it and start mining asap, fubly. Buy a rpi or a beaglebone on Amazon in the meanwhile. It's interesting that you didn't have to pay any taxes, and it also happened to me with fedex several times. I've never understood the reasoning behind it.

Today I received my units in Brussels shipped out on the 28th of Jan 2014 from Canada. A whole bunch of loose screws, some were missing. Furthermore, there are extra screws like: I don't know what the washers are for but the black long screw is used for mounting the water cooling fans to the top. In this unit all 8 screws are present so this is a mistake that happened during the assembly. All in all I'm not impressed by the quality of what Ciaratech delivered... As for taxes, the commercial invoice from Ciaratech states each unit costs $608.8 so FedEx in Europe will send you a VAT invoice for that after customs has done their job. It does list "Engineering Samples" but that won't stop customs from googling and finding out the declared value does not match what you paid.

I also received my babyjet today (i was one of the last 50 regular orders of batch one). I found a lot of loose screws too, what are they doing? Lenovo is also able to ship computers without having half a dozen loose screws in it when they arrive.. Anybody received the upgrade kit already?

Cause:eh, you are no KNC.....
That's true... HashFast's chips are about 3 times more powerful when compared on a GH per sq.mm basis. HashFast is shipping with top-shelf quality Sea Sonic PSUs, so our customers won't have to put up with exploding/self-immolating units like KNC's did. In addition, HashFast lined up an exclusive with CIARA, which means HashFast machines will be assembled and shipped with utmost expediency (no random guys helping load some random van), in professional/durable packaging. That means double-walled boxes, so HashFast customers' hardware won't arrive broken like so much of KNC's did. Finally, (again unlike KNC) HashFast has been working closely with ckolivas for a long time to ensure cgminer works flawlessly with our innovative new GN Protocol, Global Work Queue, etc.
