Hey guys, here is where Barntech mentioned paying via pay pal a couple of pages back (p.48, the most recent): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=266235.msg3187269#msg3187269He mentioned a few pages ago that he would like us to start paying for shipping now. Perhaps the above info should just be added to the front page. I have my question a page back as well but Barntech is doing a pretty good job. A bit hectic at the moment as I can imagine. I'm glad he has been very available to us. Look what happened with other GB's (no offense to them - just meaning when one or two guys are doing everything, it is very hard to get it all right the first time around and to always be available. And when you hire a company to take care of orders separately, the price just goes up. That hasn't happened here - still a small shop.) IAS That PayPal is for the ordering of the new boards and there was not a provision to pay shipping costs last night when I was looking there. I am going to send the PayPal account holders an email to see if something can be set up for this. I really do not want to bother Barntech with this issue if it can be avoided. I can talk to metal when he gets back later tonight about adding a paypal shipping option. Need it to not be middle of the early morning on AUS tho to make sure its ok with Barn

Hey all. Sorry for not being available over the last couple of days. Things have been crazy getting all this drillbit stuff together AND i have had a few things come up in real life that have been requiring my attention. It's quite a feat juggling all this stuff and having a life, doing a job, keeping a girlfriend happy, and remembering to eat, and occasionally get a little sleep! I don't want anyone to feel that i am not available though. I am here. All questions shall be answered. I'm gonna go through everything now and get some updates to you shortly. As for batch one shipping, yes it would be great to get that in soon so that we're all ready to go once we actually get to shipping time. BTC shipping payments can me be made to the batch one address: 1AF1WmU9Ut2CMuMJWgeBiXb2LMCd6x1GYA. Once you have made the payment, send me the transaction details so i can match it up to your order in my master document. For those of you desiring to pay with paypal, please send through payments to jessericketson@gmail.com. That's my personal paypal address. I'd like to explain why things have gotten tricky with regards to paypal. Basically they have frozen our account until we ship the goods. This is obviously quite crippling because it means that we don't have access to the funds until after we have done the manufacture. Because of this we are going to need to use our own money to fund this operation, which is a big ask, but thats whats happening. This is why i am encouraging everyone to use BTC from now on. This is why we are now doing PAYPAL for batch 2 through a third party. Also, sending me the shipping funds to my personal paypal will also avoid going through the frozen account. Now please not that none of this affects you guys; this group buy and manufacture is going ahead as planned, and we have things covered on this end. I'm just explaining why there has been changes in the payments procedures. Hope you guys understand. I'm going to ulish an order queue based on the forum names of everyone that i have. If you would like to not be on there please let me know, and if you don't see your forum name there, it is because i don't have it matched to your real name. In this case, send me your name and i will add it to the queue. More soon. Barntech

I assume barntechs inbox i full so I'll post my question here. Maybe someone will have an answer... What is the difference in days between express and regular shipping? Trying to compute if it's worth it. Thanks.

Where are you? The answer might also be complicated by whether or not customs stuffs around with your package.

BRILLIANT work! Thanks in particular for finding that Cooler Master V550S. It seems to be the King at lower loads. I am looking at the (also) partially modular Seasonic G360 as it is a GOLD unit but it's efficiency at low loads is 9% or so less and that will add up over a year+ of mining (Here in Germany it will cost me around 212 Euro a year to operate 80 watts. 9% savings equals around 19 Euro a year saved. Hmmmm...) Here is the Seasonic G360 http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1297-page3.htmlAnother nice (and new unit) is the corsair RM450 (Gold class and modular). It is around 100 bucks and gets around 88% efficiency at 20% load (90 watts), not sure below that. (Cooler master is 92% at that level.) http://www.corsair.com/us/power-supply-units/rm-series-power-supply-units/rm-series-rm450-80-plus-gold-certified-power-supply.htmlQuestion - The Cooler Master passes on voltage Ripple measurements but it isn't great. Is overclocking affected much by ripple (variations in the voltage)? I mean above a certain level you would for sure get more errors, but it is pretty tight. The Seasonic G360 appears much better (as does the Corsair RM450) in that regard but not sure at what level it starts to matter? 3%, 5%, etc... Where can we buy a Cooler Master V550S? I don't see them in Germany or anywhere and notice the review just came out (nice find). I bet you it is an easy $100 or Euro unit. I will try to contact the company. Seems like it may be the perfect unit for our low wattage needs. Last thing and excuse my ignorance - Which voltage will we be hooking up to (e.g., for 4 boards / 32 chips) or is that automated (I don't want to blow out a new miner)? They list 12V, 5V, 3V as standard on most power supplies. Thanks, IAS

Is anyone interested in getting a combined rate for P & P to UK? PM me if yes.
I just got a pm for the same thing. I'm not in the UK (I'm in Germany) but something to consider is that customs (here) is pretty picky with electronics. And, they are pretty picky with invoices and such. If you bring in an invoice, it needs to be for everything (not just your miner). If it isn't, they can give you a very hard time. In other words, you want all the miners on one invoice. This then, brings up legal things. Not a bad idea to save money, but it could complicate things. I'm not saying not to do this, just saying it might not be smooth if you are going to ship things further on. Something to think about anyway. If someone has done this before, it might help those looking to do it, by sharing your experiences. Respectfully, IAS

I see the potential for too many problems, which I'm not prepared to deal with. I've deleted my post.

Cheers, I'll keep an eye out for that one as well. SPCR might review it soon to check out how quiet and efficient it really is, otherwise hopefully Techpowerup will review it. Where can we buy a Cooler Master V550S? I don't see them in Germany or anywhere and notice the review just came out (nice find). I bet you it is an easy $100 or Euro unit. One question... the order queue appears to show me for three boards (115, 116, and 117) but my order is for four. It's a long list and I'm sure it's easy to make little mistakes like that in compiling it, but I just wanted to make sure that's all it was. Thanks!

Plus I don't think each number in the queue is a board, it's one number per order.
So Beavertank, you're order#115. #116 and 117 haven't sent Barntech a PM yet to match their Forum alias with their order given real name yet, or they asked not to be identified.

I was told that the size of the h-boards is likely to grow, so I built-in a lot of expandability into this case/tray. There are two possible locations for mounting fans (shown with both, but more likely you would choose either/or location): Of course this could easily be built longer/wider to accommodate more boards. There will also be a slightly different version for those not using m-boards. Comments/suggestions are welcome.
