It is a black box to me then. Any way of finding out more about TF/Time Warp without looking at the code?
Both parts of BCNext's plan. I thought you were going to say that. Can you confirm "a bright cold day in April" will be the 4th April (as in the book I am lead to believe)? Presumably at 1pm? GMT? Dunno

Don't forget, all the payouts by the pools = more forging fees for the network as well

Since I did some forging on test net after testing non-unique asset names, my node generated blocks with such assets, that are being rejected by all other nodes running older code, so we have a fork on test net. It would be interesting to see how this gets resolved once the test nodes are one by one updated to 0.8.11.
Interesting and could have considerable implications. Any update to your initial observation?

Just to let Java programmers know that I am "not hiring" (it appears some miscommunication might have happened) so please don't PM asking me "for a job" as I am not in a position to offer that.
(sorry if that has caused any trouble for people)

Probably my posts stating that you need Java help with AT and Parallel Blockchain projects. Just to clarify, are you getting bounties for these projects and will you distribute Nxt for Java developers help on these projects? If not, we should allocated unclaimed for this.

Hi, here is a rough profit estimate of my first day on hashrate.org: In 17.5h I got 414 Nxt. At current Nxt prices this equals 0.02484 BTC per 17.5h or 0.034 BTC a day. For comparison: mining at a BTC multipool (cleverming) would have given an estimated profit of 0.03619 BTC for the last 24h with my setup. So hashrate.org gave me 94% of the profit I would have got with a traditional multipool. The percentage might be lower because: - Nxt price increased by ~10% Or higher because: - pay out carry overs from hashrate.org could not be considered - accepted shares on clevermining were assumed to be 100% which is not realistic. hashrate.org gives approximately the same profit as a traditional multipool. Good job paradigmflux! VISIT THE OFFICIAL [ANN]-THREAD -> https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,4469.0.html

My "role" in the Nxt project is that of an "independent consultant" - the only "funds" I control are those that have been donated to the Nxt AT project on CIYAM Open. That does not function as an "employer" in any traditional sense but is a task based system where people "put in dibs" for a task that has a BTC "reward" (closer to say a "freelancer" model). If anyone who has donated funds to the project is unhappy with this then they can just send me a signed message (using Bitcoin) to prove that they owned at least one of the addresses said funds came from and I will happily refund them.

Yes understood. With that being said, we need to encourage devs to help CIYAM on those projects as well as allocate an unclaimed Nxt bounty for the completions of these projects to CIYAM. The dev committee needs to address this please.

Also - one forum member has stated he is working on translating my C++ prototype into Java (although he hasn't signed up to CIYAM or placed a "dib"). I think that the committee will need to work out *how* they want to approach the issue of funding tasks (whether it be by CIYAM Open or by a more traditional "contract"). JL has expressed concerns about this also (in terms of potential *legal* problems).

Buying possible somewhere? This feature will make obsolete cold storage, escrow and few other things. This is a big step to true decentralization.
