It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

The brains have definitely left Ukraine. The government is just a bunch of warlords trying to steal as much money as they can.

And Donetsk is a city of 1 million residents. The question here is not the number of residents, but who controls the city (Mariupol is largely controlled by the Ukrainian extremist battalions and foreign mercenaries) and how the residents feel towards them. I would guess they are not quick to forget and forgive the massacre of the 9th of May 2014. And miners are a tough lot, risking their lives going underground on the daily basis, so I think some 10000 people or more may be ready to take to the arms within the city if an appropriate signal is given.

Perhaps retreating from Mariupol was a very bad idea after all. Even during the last parliamentary elections, the population there voted heavily for the opposition bloc.

Also, according to the latest reports, Ukro-forces capture civilians on the streets and try to exchange them for PoWs, pretending those civilians are DNR soldiers.

This has been going on for some time now. Some 1,500 Kiev troops are currently being held as POW, compared to some 200 militia members and sympathizers. So the Kiev side need many more "captives".

Russian President Vladimir Putin announces ceasefire for eastern Ukraine to start on 15 February
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-31435812

YEs and during the meeting 50 tanks crossed the border in east of Ukraina....

Poutine failed actually with the economic in russia .... when you have no more power ... it remains you the -> Nationalism way .....

And is proof well the actual status about Russian ....
Poor and brainless Souldreammy, what a shame. Grin

“The Ukrainian parliament members who gave us these photos in print form as if it came directly from a camera really did themselves a disservice. We felt confident to release these photos because the images match the reporting of what is going on in the region. I was furious to learn one of the photos provided now appears to be falsified from an AP photo taken in 2008. This doesn’t change the fact that there is plenty of evidence Russia has made advances into the country with T-72 tanks and that pro-Russian separatists have been killing Ukrainians in cold blood.”

- Senator James M. Inhofe

Congratulations, once again you have successfully proven your own stupidity.

Looks like Poroshenko's days are numbered.

According to ARD, GErman government is disappointed with Poroshenko:

While American historian and specialist on USSR Seven Cohen ,thinks that USA have already found a replacement for Poroshenko - most probably Yatsenjuk will be appointed as the next president of Ukraine.

Ukrainian radical MP Ljashko is again showing Europe and USA how the democracy is done the proper way - by the means of a fistfight in the Parliament. Video in the following article:

US State Department congratulated Ukraine on the 1st anniversary of the coup d'etat. In that connection Kerry used the UPA-style Nazi hailing of "Glory to Ukraine!" in his address. It's the same if Kerry ended his address to Germany with a "Heil Hitler". Nothing strange here: USA, Canada and Ukraine are the only 3 states that voted against the UN resolution decrying glorification of Nazism.

http://ria.ru/world/20150221/1049028094.html

About 10 different heads of European countries will come to Kiev to celebrate the coup d'etat in the perversely called "March of Worthiness". We'll know then who the real criminals and gangsters are... According to preliminary listings, they include Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Slovakia, as well as Tusk of the EU Parliament.

http://ria.ru/world/20150222/1049030062.html

Kiev, seemingly emboldened by it, is preparing for a full-out war with Russia. Wonder when will Kiev-Nazis attack and with what...
http://ria.ru/world/20150221/1048995131.html

Ljashko, the head of the US-supported radical party teaches Obama how to behave, saying that if he were Obama, he would have presented Ukraine with $100 billion and written off all debt:

I knew it all the time! Kerry is a stealth nazi  Shocked They are planning usa ukraine nazi invasion to russia, but I can't understand how they are going to do it  Huh Huh

Today is a day of border detentions.

1. Graham Philips - one of the few, if not the only Western journalist covering the events in Donbass since the start - came to UK for vacation, where he was detained by the British police and questioned for 4 hours. In a later Skype interview he said that the British authorities cross-questioned him on what he did in Donbass and told him that he undermines the official British line on the events in Ukraine (presumably reporting the truth about the events there)

2. A group of Polish representatives from Change (if I am not mistaken) party, who came to Ukraine to commemorate the Volyn massacre, were detained at the border control. It turned out SBU had then on black list (even though some of them never visited Ukraine before). They got a 3-year ban on entering the country. Moreover they described the interrogation as unpleasant and and the detention as unlawful - as EU citizens they have a visum-free entry to Ukraine. They said in the interview that they ere openly told that they are undermining Ukrainian historical policy (which denies the Volyn massacre).

The article from Ron Paul is three weeks old, but is very much a must-read:

American Double Standards on Display in Ukraine
http://townhall.com/columnists/ronpaul/2015/04/20/american-double-standards-on-display-in-ukraine-n1987865/page/full

Quote
Last week two prominent Ukrainian opposition figures were gunned down in broad daylight. They join as many as ten others who have been killed or committed suicide under suspicious circumstances just this year. These individuals have one important thing in common: they were either part of or friendly with the Yanukovych government, which a US-backed coup overthrew last year. They include members of the Ukrainian parliament and former chief editors of major opposition newspapers.

While some journalists here in the U.S. have started to notice the strange series of opposition killings in Ukraine, the U.S. government has yet to say a word.

...

Neither Royce, nor Secretary of State John Kerry, nor President Obama, nor any U.S. government figure has said a word about the series of apparently political murders in Ukraine.

On the contrary, instead of questioning the state of democracy in what looks like a lawless Ukraine, the Administration is sending in the U.S. military to help train Ukrainian troops!

Last week, just as the two political murders were taking place, the U.S. 173rd Airborne Brigade landed in Ukraine to begin training Ukrainian national guard forces - and to leave behind some useful military equipment. Though the civil unrest continues in Ukraine, the U.S. military is assisting one side in the conflict - even as the U.S. slaps sanctions on Russia over accusations it is helping out the other side!

...

So while Obama is correctly talking about sanctions relief for Iran and Cuba, he is adding more sanctions on Russia, backing Saudi Arabia's brutal attack on Yemen, and pushing ever harder for regime change in Syria. Does he really believe the rest of the world does not see these double standards? A wise consistency of non-interventionism in all foreign affairs would be the correct course for this and future US administrations. Let us hope they will eventually follow Obama's observation that, "it's time to try something new."

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”

Ah, the spoils of war, I mean, revolution...

Poroshenko Fortune Explodes 7-fold in One Year (LRL13)
https://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2015/05/28/poroshenko-fortune-explodes-7-fold-in-one-year-lrl13/

Quote
How did billionaire ‘chocolate king’ Petr Poroshenko manage to grow his fortune 7-fold in one year, while being Ukraine’s president? This is at the same time his country is in a state of civil war, unable to pay off its debt and about to declare default, poverty is overwhelming, pensions are cut, inflation reaches 270% and grivna is in free fall. Poroshenko is also the only Ukraine oligarch to increase his assets – all other oligarchs have lost during 2014-2015.
