False. Many users report giving all the requested data and still not receiving their money.
Besides, the KYC/AML procedure is invoked for even the smallest of amounts, like $50. This is not a practice focused on security. It's simply scamming, stalling and as mentioned above, possibly even identity theft.
HitBTC has never even tried to prove the IDs/documents are secured and the KYC requests are in any meaningful way justified. It's clear from all the complaints that a lot of users were directly harmed by the exchange and its affiliates. HitBTC is an unscrupulous and shady exchange. Avoid it like a plague.
Security precautions taken by HitBTC in the verification process are designed to prevent international money laundering and fraudulent schemes, which is a common practice for a financial institution. Most traders have absolutely no trouble passing the KYC. |

What do you really think I'm doing every 2-3 days? I'm trying to complete it ASAP by compiling the accusations of each exchange every 2-3 days, and you're no one to "order me" to do that. If you think that you can do it in a faster manner, then eff off and make your own thread. |

However, all the exchanges that I have been using have also their own shares of complaints. I mean, which exchange is clean? I used to be a loyal user of Bittrex and Poloniex and cryptopia. They used to be excellent and then people began annoyed with them due to various problems. Cryptopia even died. And then I jumped into the bandwagon and opened a Binance account only to read news later on that several millions of USD have been hacked from them followed by the KYC leak. Sometimes, I am confused where to deposit and do the trade because all of them are problematic in a way. |

Right at this moment, we are the same, even one of the largest exchange like Binance has experienced hacking incidents. I felt no one ever safe exchange now where can we trust and deposit a huge amount. The good advice in here is don't leave a huge amount of crypto in any exchange wallet, it might put a risk on your fund. I still remember in a year back of 2017 when I was new in trading at HitBTC exchange site. And this is the first trading exchange that I used at that time. So far, I never experience any difficulties and didn't face any troubles until I stopped and withdraw my fund earlier in the year of 2018. But now, I saw that HitBTC is plagued with complaints. So, my guess is better to stay away on this exchange. |

yes, I also remember that. HitBTC used to be one of the recommended places to trade, it's just that now, there have been so many complaints that come, and most of it from withdrawing pending very long. As far as I use HitBTC, I don't have any complaints other than the fee that is big enough for now. Well, I hope HitBTC can be like it used to be  |
