My problem with EarthCoinTalk is the low volume, the fact that it's another account we have to make and that it takes away from people posting in more frequented venues like Reddit. It would be nice, but it's emptiness doesn't ring.

I once tried to start a forum for a local chapter of the Occupy movement, but it bombed because everyone uses twitter, facebook, reddit, etc.

Eac buy walls eliminated, plunge to 10 satoshi inevitable. BAIL, imo.

I don't want to hurt the market with selling, tbh. I tried to help it by buying in the 90s and 80s. I'm no asshat, but if prices look sub-80 there could be a sell rush into the 60s and subsequently 30s, This would lead to even less people mining and lower prices and more sells. It becomes exponential every time things bottom out.

The only other thing to help out is to keep mining.

Such a good altcoin that had potential (still possible if people work hard). Seems like it was not executed that well. Developers needed to be more transparent, got on cryptsy much earlier (imo - that dangerous 800 satoshi wouldve been much harder to pump otherwise) and need to post more updates on what is happening, last few weeks have been extremely quiet (twitter is dead too). The price is going to be below 50 satoshi by the end of the week unless some good news comes out of SOMEONE. Once its 50 its going to be a free fall to ZERO.

I don't understand why its so hard to be so transparent about the premine? Why divide it up into little tiny chunks aswell?

Some bounties needed more rewards, others were not even paid at all for their contributions.

That's actually what pisses me off the most about this whole brouhaha. EAC was not a bad alt. It was a good alt by alt standards. It had promise. Once we got delisted from BTC38, it was as if the retarded devs stuck their heads in the sand. The chinese said they did not want a tree hugging alt. No one is interested in "going green" or saving dolphins. There is no money there. Just idealistic pot smokers, holistic peddlers and college kids with too much daddy money and time on their hands.

Apparenty the devs fit in all 3 because they went full force into charity mode. It's always about how this new charity no one knows or gives an utter fuck about wants to accept EAC. Of course people will accept any sort of donation. That is not fucking adoption.

And then you have the others who come in here and say this is a long term coin. As if the financial world will grind to a halt for EAC to find its footing. You know what, I'm just happy this coin is sinking. The devs have been idiots and they have themselves to blame. Keep flaunting the charities devs. Maybe they will help you  restore balance to the fart powered eco-system you love to sniff so much.

My suggestion to the dev team is to just show up. You don't have to hold our hands or give updates on every technical detail of your project, you just need to be visible. The community likes to know that the lights are on and somebody's home, you know?

The design behind Earthcoin is actually quite good. It has unique mining seasons and very fast transactions (not to mention transaction messages). I honestly am not bagging myself for wasting electricity on Earthcoin because if I went back in time and saw another coin with similar differences I would be all over it aswell.

Ill wait until x5 day before I decide what I going to do. But until then good luck everyone, I'll be focusing my attention on vertcoin, hopefully things are better after a month...

I agree wholly. I loved the payout system and wish it went on forever, at a lower %, but it stops for some reason and becomes fixed at 8k I believe. I will mine EAC as much as I can into the 5x, and see what waters this ship is headed toward.

I still have a little faith. Sells are bottoming out right now because the loose hands have been shaken and others don't want to have mined at 30 difficulty only to sell now.

It will just go on with the sine curve, but every year the payout will be cut in half.
