We two bought with BTC on 1/8 and two with BTC bought on 1/9. The picture of them working puts me at some ease. Of the two rigs we received today one is down due to a bad TP-LINK card, trying to hook that one via USB but it is slow going. The other is much quieter then I had thought it would be but gives off a lot of heat. I am running the rig at 220v US with no problems. I do not want a refund. What would I buy at this price. Even https://www.bitmaintech.com/product.htm is sold out more BTC and slower then this rig. I will wait... As long as I can.

I wonder if there's a port I'm missing. I can see and ping the miner, but can't access it in the browser. Tried ports 8000 and 8080. Not an expert in this stuff, any other ports I should try?

Could try SSH (port 22) with putty . Haven't had experience with an Avalon before, so I'm not a whole lot of help

ya, try opening a terminal and typing:

ssh root@mineripaddresshere

(password is probably also "root" by default)

His website says Georgia, but to be honest not much works on the website...so I don't know if it's a cover for something else or not?

It's up, I'm in.., but not I can't figure out how to connect to pools. I'm just nailing it tonight!

Just means they're closer, not that they got priority treatment. It gives me hope I may be getting my 1/7 order very soon.

I did ask for a refund initially (Jan 10th order) but I decided to stick with it as no one else would be able to deliver in that time frame and that dude that keeps thread hijacking is charging far too much and with an even worse delivery window.

Just taking a wild stab in the dark here but could your router be blocking the ports needed

So Bhosted and I are in cohoots in this bitcoin mining undertaking.... I purchased 2 of these on 1/6 and as stated previously, they arrived today.

The shipping wasn't so great, one of the boxes was obviously damaged during shipment. The case was bent, and when we powered it up, the TPlink router inside was dead.

This wasn't a total loss.

You can open the case on these things and connect to a computer directly using usb.

I was successful using the latest build of cgminer from Github (3-10-0)
and the following in my config
Code:
 --avalon-options 115200:16:10:D:1400:55
it takes a few seconds for cgminer to recognize the device, but both blades came up and are happily hashing above 210Gh/s... thought I'd put that out there for anyone who experiences a dead router

@BTmine, when you ship my next batch of miners, please include a replacement TPlink router.

Hi Roxy,

I am sure you are all learning a lot .....no pain no gain.

But to help you understand the US Consumer and expecially with an item like this that has a quickly decling value......

A partial refund is in order.....OR a very attractive discount on additional units.  OR more importantly you can do like the other manufacturers and add hashing power to compensate.

I was able to see that there were orders for this before 1/1/2013 in the amount of $1000 ....so it would appear you have the room to make some accommodations.

I am making my first purchase on ASICs...

I ordered two with Paypal and two with BTC

And you accidently canceled my Paypal order on 1/8 because you english was a little poor and I had to resubmit.....and I suspect I have now slipped on the ship list.

Appreciate you prompt reply.

On crisis management.......stepping up to the plate with either a partial refund OR you can add hashing power to compensate buyers for lost hashing time.

This is an opportunity to buy customer loyalty on make a bad siutation good.  I hope you have people with vision......and sieze this opportunity.

Thank you for you prompt reply
