Hey Guys, just looking into my stats ive realized i just found a block

26.06 10:58:29   0h 05m     204    305989     0.03233450

Number of blocks found by you: 1

Now my normal rewards for all rounds is about 0.027

Is that extra payment okay right? I thought no benefits were obtained if your worker solved a block or not...

I already answered your PM yesterday.

Up to this moment we never had any problems with confirmations on gmail.com mailboxes.
But OK, I just resent it to you manually.

Is there a penalty for switching to PPS and back to Prop too often?  I've had several instances where I would switch to PPS and then get the next 5 blocks at 50% of normal Prop payout.  The 6th block would be 20% normal and then full PPS.  The reverse was true when I went back to Prop, (20% then 5 @ 50% before full Prop payout).

I noticed back about 10 pages someone was commenting that they were being paid out less than expected, they were getting the same percentages, but they didn't specify any other conditions.

No, there is no any 50% or 20% penalty for switching. Your payout mode will change in a few minutes after pressing the button.

While I'm happy to hear there isn't a penalty (I wasn't really expecting one), the behavior was still very much present.  I know I switched modes at approximately 10:30 and at 22:30.  While I could understand the current block not being switched, the change actually took 6 blocks each way, equal to about 5 hours on average after I changed the settings.  This happened on two different occasions.  I have two miners running, both were switched at the same time.  I apologize for the wall of numbers.

Thanks for your report, I'll check this.

If you see less "reward" per some number of shares it doesn't means that your reward was lost, it means that some of those shares were correctly or accidentally accounted as PPS and thus not shown.

For reasons I can't explain, my % of stale shares has gone through the roof this morning (just woke up).  Yesterday, they were averaging (as usual) single digit stales.  Now I'm seeing 10%, 20% even more than 30% on some of my machines.

Nothing has changed on my end.  Any idea why this might be?

On Deepbit.net's main page it says "Bitcoin mining allows you to make money with your computer (even when you are AFK)".

What does "AFK" mean?
Sam

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

I'm quite new to deepbit, I had my workers set to PPS, and all I seem to be seeing is:

27 Jun 2011 16:32:57
308 / 4554436
262.206 MH/s
+ 0.00000000 BTC

ie, I've not made any BTC from deepbit in the last 24 hours, even though I'm pumping about 300MH/s into it.

Can you help?

PPS reward is not shown in the history column and on the stats page.
Your balance will just increase every hour.

I'm using guiminer from 6.09.  I have restarted recently but I've not switched modes since.
I'll switch and see what happens, then I'll get the 6.14 version of guiminer and switch back to see if that makes any difference.

Edit: or I could be answering totally the wrong comment and just ignore me.  *embarrassed*

Has anyone noticed the proportional payouts have been lacking in the last 48 hours?
I'm pulling 3.0 GHs and alloscomp estimates 2.19 B/day, 4.38 B over 48 hrs, I've made just under 3.2 in 48h
Going to try shifting priority to another pool and see if things improve...

I hope this bug is fixed now.
By the way, current block should be partially switched - you may get half of it as PPS and another half as Prop. Mode switch may take a couple of minutes.

Pool luck is extremely bad in the last 48 hours, check stats page. Average has gone from 15 minutes to 30 minutes, but it's still completely within normal variance.

If you don't like variance then it's better to use PPS mode; You get the same reward every day.

Proportional is always a gamble because luck only evens out in the long term; Not necessarily in the duration of a single difficulty.
