Bounties are a great idea, and it should have been done from the start.
We could use the promo fund (what is it currently being used for anyway???)
I do believe its being used for just that, but its not being done in an organized, publicly visible way. If we were to pursue the above, it would allow everyone to see what is planned, being worked on, etc. And in turn, it would hopefully spark a competitive atmosphere amongst devs to release the greater product. I definitely think this should be implemented right away! These are all great ideas. UTC is a solid coin, and the community is wonderful. What it desperately needs is publicly visible leadership - not just one person, but someone that will lead the dev effort, someone that will lead the bounty management, someone that will lead marketing, etc. With those people in place, the community will have a good sense of where things are going, and a clear idea of who is doing what. This can't wait.

@dcgirl
I know that had been proposed before, but I agree it is more pertinent now than ever. A board of directors, if you will, should be established. I'd more than happily take up the responsibility for the web-development. I can assist with marketing and promotion but others have far more knowledge than I do.
We desperately need a dev who is more involved than Ziggy. I haven't seen him since the very beginning, months ago. I know he may make some changes here or there, but like you said, we need a leader in that position to direct and pursue projects.
And these positions, once established, should be set up as points of contact. Each individual should have an email address @ultracoin.net and should be publicly visible on the website for PR.

I believe the PoS part of this coin is a joke, you have to leave the coins in your wallet for 1 year to get pay?, maybe developers should change that to 1 week or 1 day, that will make the coin more interesting

dcGirl and xwebnetwork once again speak common sense. I'd love to be more involved but have just taken on a role in a Community Energy Co-Op to get things off the ground and raise money for a solar array, plus I have a demanding full-time job and family.
The Crypto-Trade offer raised 32,500 UTC, which even at the very lowly rate of both UTC and BTC is around $3,500. So why not use this money to recruit a marketing manager if Bumface doesn't feel he can do it alone. Offer a $1,500 competition to recruit such a spokesperson with a further reward of the remaining UTC if they raise the price three-fold in three months?

I think utc should be changed to have 10 utc per block instead of the current 50 utc per block. having 10 utc per block means that there will be 28,800 utc mined per day instead of the current 144,000 per day. litecoin has 28800 ltc mined per day vertcoin has 28800 vtc mined per day. utc's 144000 per day is too high. it should be divided by 5 to have 10 utc per block instead. that would mean 28800 utc per day too.

Maybe the reason is too many coins produced everyday.

Block reward is not the problem. Lack of buyers is.
@Bumface - can you please clear official forum of spam? It is looking very unprofessional.

ill think about it.i do see the merrit of less dumping, but dont forget this could upset the miners.....
if it bringes the price up due to less dumping, then the miners wont mind obviously, but its about the transitional period....
This is a thing better done from launch.
i agree with bumface! but what is with a multipool like bc? is such a kind of pool possible for UTC?

i agree with bumface! but what is with a multipool like bc? is such a kind of pool possible for UTC? I'd like to propose that a group be formed to explore options as expressed here - related to mining, n-factor and possible changes. That group would take a week or so to explore options, look at drawbacks and prepare a plan to be presented to bumface. Who is willing to be a part of that group?

I have 0 skillz so i'll just watch But im online 24/7 so i could be a time keeper It's not entirely about skills but more or less regarding critical thinking and troubleshooting. We are simply forming a think tank to discuss our obstacles and ways to overcome them in an efficient and productive manner. Any and all input can and will help. Obviously this particular thread has the ideas, but in order for them to be dissected further, they need to be quarantined and examined thoroughly. Too many good ideas have been passed over because they have been forgotten. Once something is 2,3,4 pages back, its existence fades unless re-posted.
