4 Lessons I Learned from the Ethereum Flash Crash Over the weekend we had a fun market crash in cryptocurrency, precipitated by Ethereum causing a domino effect. It’s easy to watch the crash and write it off as a random act to dismiss and move on. However I think there are a few important things we can learn about the state of the cryptocurrency industry from this whole episode.
1: Markets are irrational
The biggest “no duh” of the list, I know, but it’s important to remind especially new investors of the stage we’re in at this particular moment. “Why is X coin pumping right now?” Sometimes there doesn’t have to be a reason. “Why is the market crashing?” Could be something as silly as a fake news story about a prominent developer being killed in a car accident. Or it could be because some whale just decided they wanted to sell. Real development news takes a back seat in importance to the ICO or drama du jour.

Video Interview with Evan Duffield on Dash Evolution's Roadmap - Dash Force News Recently, Dash released a detailed roadmap for future development, particularly for the massive overhaul Dash Evolution. The roadmap includes scaling to 40,000+ transactions per second, ultimate usability, and improvements to decentralized governance.
I had the honor of sitting down with Dash’s founder and Dash Labs head Evan Duffield to go through a list of questions from the community about what this future roadmap would include.

There was added 0.01 BTC to its value in past 36 hours. Dash is now at 0.07 BTC is looking good and it should keep performing like this because of good news. Reading chart is headache for me but based on gut feeling decisions making most of the times work good for me too. Let's see it is uptrend or just a jump to build new floor at current price.

Oregon Adds Third Dash ATM As Users Demand More Cryptocurrency Options
Oregon claimed its third ATM selling Dash, indicating a rise of user demand for the option to buy non-Bitcoin cryptocurrencies with cash. Owned and operated by BitcoinNW, the new ATM is manufactured by General Bytes, a Bitcoin ATM known for its relatively reasonable cost and its support for multiple cryptocurrencies. The new ATM is located in Salem, Oregon at the Salem Center Mall... https://www.dashforcenews.com/oregon-adds-third-dash-atm-users-demand-cryptocurrency-options/

Just in case we had any lingering doubts that Dash really and truly doesn't give even the tiniest little shit about decentralization.....scale Dash using Layer 2 solutions like segwit and Lightning. Who doesn't care about "centralization again" ? Just as well iCEBREAKER's well hedged in Dash

5 Takeaways from the Dash Hong Kong Statement - Dash Force News The movie Braveheart depicts William Wallace leading a Scottish rebellion against the English. After some initial but small successes, the Scottish nobles squabble among themselves over minor issues like land titles and rights of succession. Wallace confronts the nobles and declares he’s going to invade England itself—a seemingly impossible task.
I was reminded of this scene when reading Dash founder Evan Duffield’s Hong Kong Statement. Having initially scored some small successes against the reigning fiat-money system, the Bitcoin community now squabbles over things like SegWit, 2MB block sizes, and Lightning Network. But Duffield wants to “invade England” and challenge the whole fiat payments system. You can’t criticize the Dash founder for being timid, to be sure.

A great read, thank you for posting tungfa! I wonder how masternode operators will be able to deploy these shiney custom hardware nodes later on... Build boxes and deploy in colos rather than VPS? Exciting times await us with Evolution and beyond!

Control the Narrative: What I Learned Working Dash Force’s “Troll Patrol”I do this thing colloquially called the “troll patrol.” It mostly involves monitoring social media and forums, identifying instances of people spreading lies and misinformation about Dash, and stepping in to correct the record. The original prospect of the Dash Force was largely to improve Dash’s standing and reputation on social media. Frequently, this has involved countering trolls. Not everyone understands the value of the troll patrol. That’s understandable, since from the outside it all looks like a bunch of petty fighting and arguing with people who won’t change their minds. Having been in the trenches for some time, however, I can assure you that there’s a lot more going on beneath the surface than meets the eye. To that effect I’m going to write a series of articles on what I’ve learned from countering trolls for a living, starting with narrative control.... https://www.dashforcenews.com/control-narrative-learned-working-dash-forces-troll-patrol/

When Daily Decrypt ended... I was a bit bummed. Now ABJ is taking a break from Dash Detailed, bummed again. Not sure if it was the content or the host but the show was well done and I looked forward to it.
Dash community is strong and was also bummed when Evan posted about leaving his post. But that seems to have been for better things which is nice. I guess the initial jolts are just more difficult in a decentralized org. Life in a normal organization is tough enough with politics and so forth... hopefully this isn't due to internal problems with the Dash team. The whole CMO thing seems to be causing some turmoil and so forth...
Anyways. Just letting everyone know my thoughts. =) Still holding my nodes and appreciate the 3 year plan that was posted, just hope everyone finds what they are looking for and have their part of this pretty wild ride we are all on.

We may be overthinking things a little, everyone needs a break every once in a while. Our industry is really intense and the pace of development is very fast, so people need to rest. The cool thing in a decentralized environment is that there are always others that take over during those times so it never stops.

This is a fine theoretical text. Thanks so much for your efforts. I (hope I) understand Troll Patrol because my background is revolutionist political theory. The Leninist model, for example, favored ‘left uninterrupted for long enough.’ That is, they’d simply destroy any printing presses/people who disagreed with the party line. Anarchists in the 90’s, I recall, used to say, ‘Don’t complain about the media. BE the media!’ During the '98 insurrection in Indonesia, we'd go to absurd lengths to track down information from a range of sources, as we we strove to outflank the seriously-right-wing media-control mechanisms in play.

Ripple to Enable 2-5 Second Japan-Thailand Bank Transfers, Gateways to Integrate Dash - Dash Force News Ripple has launched nearly-instant remittance bank transfers between Japan and Thailand as the Dash network prepares to also leverage its technology.
The SBI Remit bank of Japan, in collaboration with the Siam Commercial Bank, launched a payment channel on the Ripple network to facilitate the transfer of remittances between the two countries. Japan retains a number of Thai immigrants seeking to send funds home to their families, and the new payment channel will drastically reduce the time and costs associated with these transfers. The establishment of this new Ripple payment rail, the first of its kind to leverage blockchain technology between the banks, will allow users to transfer funds from their account to the recipient’s account in under 5 seconds.
Dash network funded integration into two separate Ripple gateways
