I approve this thread.  No worries.  Nothing can be done with Dash N Drink or any Point of Sale idea with Dash until a mobile wallet can use InstantSend again.

Strange to see you support TheDashGuy (aka FeelTheBern) and his view of Dash as a scam this way and at the same time being active in a Dash selling product.
From a business point of view that does not make much sense to me.

Just to be clear, I currently have no businesses accepting Dash or businesses selling anything Dash related. 

Dash is too risky to mess with right now. 

Coinfirm is tracking every transaction(very easy with so few everyday) the government can easily implement retroactive legislation to cause problems.  It is also very likely masternodes will be tracked to their IP and public address making them big targets.  I just don't see any of this ending well for Dash.

That is besides the fact that Dash has no advantage over Litecoin right now without InstantSend.   Sure it has pretty masternodes and a pretty core controlled budget system and maybe some hope for a fancy Evolution of Paypal in 2018.   With so very few transactions, there is more anonymity just by using a coin with more transactions.  And Litecoin has wallets on the app store so Apple users can actually use it, along with lightning months away.  There are many other coins that are actually developing new ideas - not trying to copy the banking system.

Superior functions, fungibility and code will take a long time to work through into public perceptions. Meantime, network effect is still prevelant, but it will gradually give way to better fundamentals.

What does Evan mean when says he's going to "blind" the masternodes ?

What does that mean technically speaking ?

Currently masternodes "see" where their inputs and outputs are coming from/going to, which necessitates multiple rounds of anonymization for DarkSend to be reasonably secure. By knocking their lights out if you will anonymization will occur much faster with fewer rounds and is even more secure.

Yah.  That never happened.  Your childlike, innocent faith in the Evan's Gate cargo cult coin was (and still is) unfounded and misplaced.

Masternodes have never been "blinded."  They still don't encrypt the messages they pass to each other, which is exactly why InstandSend is broken with no fix available in the wild.

Masternodes will always be able to collude in adversarial ways until they are "blind."  But two years after your "Masternodes going Dark" claim, nothing has been done.

I agree. I've encountered similar issues here in Canada, and have sometimes used BTC-to-fiat debit cards while waiting for something better. The non-EU BTC/fiat world is in upheaval these days because the one(!) European bank providing Visa debit card service to many international companies has recently changed its terms of reference to serve the EU only. The companies affected seem to be switching to MC from Visa, but imho that's still far too centralized and subject to abuse.
