Dash price rise must be imminent, with our beloved Icetroll posting in our ANN forum again....

This isn't the Dash price speculation thread, so please stay on-topic.

How do you feel about Dash's (woefully under-tested/hastily deployed) InstantSend being phuX0R3d and disabled the very next day after Litecoin got Lightning?  Grin

Do you see the irony there?

It's ironic because Dash spends so much time bashing LTC and bragging about how it's the only true digital cash.  But Dash without InstantSend is just a shitty fork of Litecoin, now more so than ever because Litecoin has grown to enable segwit and LN.

Perhaps Dash should spend less money on cheesy marketing gimmicks like butt-ugly planes and Max Kaiser ass-clowns, and more on development and testing?

If I could get a Dash for each time that Icey deleted and reposted his own post, I would have a lot more masternodes  Roll Eyes

Crypto Diggers POS System Review

CryptoDiggers is a consulting / development shop in Slovakia.  They manage some ATM machines and do crypto currency consulting.  They also have developed payment solutions for ecommerce platforms and have a point of sale (POS) system.  They provide merchants that use their payment solutions a payment gateway with the option of getting fiat payouts (only in Europe – through Kraken).

...
Monero has great anonymity but has some serious scaling issues. You can see the results of that and the large transaction costs just from the increased interest it received last week. It will work good as an anonymous store of value but won't make it as an everyday used of transferring value

... and 640 KB of RAM ought to be enough for anyone.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

Dash's masternodes have a positive effect on its price in the short term, but don't forget that this effect is reversed when bad news comes. The delayed sell pressure caused by masternodes will be released all at once, resulting in dramatic downward price movement.

Consider that Dash is in blatant violation of FINCEN's guidelines on decentralized cryptocurrency. Why has everything been ok up till now? The wheel of justice moves slowly, but it grinds exceedingly fine. When enforcement inevitably happens, the exits will be clogged with masternode owners trying to get out. Prudent individuals would do well to get out before that happens.

Yeah, i'm keeping my fingers crossed. In the mean time Dash is now wearth more then Ethereum with regards to price :

1 DASH = $347
1 ETH    = $331

Do you think this is a trend?

I think Dash has entered a new longterm uptrend and some altcoins (Ethereum for example) are at risk of entering new downtrends

In line with Satoshi's original vision, Dash is not implementing offchain scaling and keeping transactions on chain. Lightning Network, which is a second layer solution, will inevitably lead to centralization in which large hubs (banks) will route all the transactions. But still I own some bitcoin (segwit) which I hodl. I don't like Litecoin, it is merely a test net for bitcoin.

Technical consolidation reached its conclusion and selling got exhausted.

Momentum indicators moving to the upside now on the Dash/BTC 12-hour.

209,000 Credit Cards Compromised in Data Breach, Decentralized Digital Currency Needed

Equifax experienced a significant data breach resulting in 209,000 credit card numbers being compromised.

In one of the worst data breaches in recent history, Equifax, one of the three main US agencies reporting consumer credit information, was subjected to a major hack of their website, resulting in a loss of sensitive consumer data. This data included credit ratings, birth dates, addresses, and more, and may have affected 143 million customers. In addition, three major executives in the company sold shares worth around $1.8 million after the hack had been discovered but before it had gone public, after which the value of said shares tumbled.

Good luck trying to snoop in using masternodes
Good luck trying to get the dev-team consisting of individual members to use their masternodes collectively to snoop in, thereby damaging the value of the Dash they hold and getting voted out on salary as result.

I'm not satisfied by that answer. If the connection between the nodes is not encrypted, then somebody monitoring the communication between the nodes can easily decypher it.

So I'll ask again:

I have 1 question though. Is the communication between mixing nodes encrypted well? Like with TLS or things like that? Because if it isn't, then say hello to permanent transaction records:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Data_Center

At which point, it's exactly the same problem as with Monero if the Monero blockchain is decrypted by QC.

DASHcoin is now already starting up again my prediction this month Dashcoin will go up and maybe that still have a lot of BTC balance there may be some of the balance will be bought in the dash
Just calm the traders may be a lot of yesterday's moon trapped, it could be next month we will get out of the trap.

Please note that this is the Dash thread.  "Dashcoin" is a different coin entirely, which currently ranks 418 on coinmarketcap.

I would not be satisfied either if i was looking to discredit Dash and having just learned that owning 4 masternodes only gives you 0.000001226 % chance of snooping in on a 4 rounds mixed PrivateSend transaction  Roll Eyes
With regards to monitoring the communication between nodes leading to PrivateSend getting easily decypherable or not : why dont you give it a shot and see where it leads you ? You could be the very first person to decypher a PrivateSend transaction ....... you could get famous !!

edit : oh dear, i see arielbit is still emotionally tripping over any Dashcoin reference in this thread .. that cant be good for the bloodpressure of our little mermaid.
