DRK go! Go! GO! Price will be equal litecoin price!
Please lets not start that just yet. We are currently in baby stages. If the anonymous technology is delivered in a reasonable time frame, I fully expect this coin to exceed Litecoin. Litecoin is just the original clone. No functionality expansion, apart from being temporarily asic proof. A truly anonymous coin however, has incredible potential. I agree 100%

I think most coins with many hashes will, in the long run, prove much more safe than both Bit and Lite. It is too much to wake up one morning and have all your money gone because one hash was broken - and that one hash was your coin's hash. Ideal specs for coin are, as far as I'm concerned, a) many secure hashes b) anonymous if possible c) quick transactions but not bloated blockchain d) asic and quantum computing resistant e) limited quantity vs infinite edit: On the (b) I would also add anonymous that resists advanced AI-pattern detection/analysis.

DarkXfer
DarkOnymousXfer
I would call it "Darkcoin" Technology. Why? 1. We all know other alts are going to steal the technology. Well, if Darkcoin brands its technology with its own name and establishes itself, by calling the technology Darkcoin technology all the other coins will be forced to Acknowledge DarkCoin.!!! Heck by stealing from us, the other alts will be giving us free advertising and adding legitimacy to Darkcoin!! We will have them over a barrel..
Agreed. Keep it simple, and make sure that this coin is the key to the word, anyone copying it after that will just look bad. My vote goes to Darktech
I'll change my vote to this as well

I agree 100% DITTO See what anoncoin did. Now translate that to the other 99.999% of the web. But all the points that people are raising are delightfully valid. especially with the global agenda becoming more and more obvious to the deepest of sleepers. FFS!! http://pool.darkcoin.io must be getting hammered by some ****ers. Anyone else getting constantly booted off???

I like darktech but should spell it darktek
Earlier I meant I like Darkcoin Technology. It's not slick, but it gives credit where it's due.

Yes it does look like darkcoin.io is being DDOS, it keeps going down and rejecting miner. Drk.coinmine.pl is up and running, configure your miners to connect to a separate pool when this happens

So regarding the real reward, not the one that pools give as an estimate. Block reward for DRK is (11111 / (((Difficulty+51)/6) ^ 2)), so with current difficulty of around 40 it becomes around 48 coins per block. Block is every 2.5 minutes. 24 blocks per hour, 576 per day. So it is around 27650 coins per day. Now, given that current net rate is 1130 MH/s, 1MH/s will have around 24.47 coins per day. Or $6.9 (if 1DRK=0.0004BTC and 1BTC=$700). $1.4 a day for average quad CPU at 200KH/s. Kinda not interesting it becomes.

It's a speculation more than anything. But does this mean that it's more profitable to mine and sell other coins than to mine this one?

I'm new to Darkcoin, are these good levels to buy at? What do you guys see this coin heading to within the next couple months? Thanks. We have everything Vertcoin has PLUS an anonymity feature in Alpha testing. And I assume you saw what Vertcoin did once people figured out its benefits. Does Darkcoin have adaptive N factor?

Liking the pitchdark / darkengine names Loving the purplely darkness. Now, if the spots could have a slow rippling / undulating / pulsating movement added......... I'd be in dark, dystopian cyberpunk heaven.

And now, how about collecting a good hefty bounty for a working effective GPU miner? I'd put down up to 1000 DRK - not much but if many people donate it'll build up.
If more people are interested I could work on GPU miner for a bounty. I already have something more or less working (pools are accepting shares, also solo-mined one block this night with it), but it's still very slow (nearly 2 MH/s on Radeon R9 290). Unfortunately I can't promise it will get much faster, still working on possible optimizations. That's still pretty good.

Can someone please explain the differences between Darkcoin and Anoncoin?
Other alt coins use internet services to cloak their transactions, Darkcoin will cloak the transactions from the source, the wallet! Totally different!
