I just updated the media release I wrote a while ago. Here it is: http://pastebin.com/VaRif5rKHappy for any suggestions. Could we get this out after Easter? +1, excellent article It would probably be best to post it at the same time in as many sites as possible. No idea how you get to post your releases on the news sites such as yahoo finance and so on though. Good idea. And we need to send emails out to that mailing list of journos. Evan and co will want to give the tick of approval first though!

I sold off any Darkcoin I had last week. Not sure why it's taking off now. Anyway I sold it because the darksend technology is cool and all, but I can't really see the benefit. For anonymous payments you can't really beat cash, and for businesses, saying you now take Darkcoin is another way of saying "If you're ashamed to buy our stuff, here is a solution!" Err, right

It's harder to transmit cash over the internet. Can't send cash in envelopes and money orders aren't normally accepted because of fraud.

I'm glad you sold. You are too stupid to understand the bigger picture anyways. I'm sure a country coin is calling you.

You can't just send cash to another country to purchase things in seconds.

I should of rephrased that. I can't see the benefit of anonymous payments over the internet unless you are trying to do something illegal.

Auf wiedersehen. Dark coin will be the go to E-cash. You can't compare fiat with software. Dark will also be the go to tumbler coin. Unfortunately that involves vices but oh well. Dark is taking off now because it has just become THE FIRST TRULY anonymous crypto. Businesses will use DARK because they do not want their crypto public ledgers in full view. The Chinese will use it to funnel their wealth. I will use it because I'm a hipster.

With Bitcoin anyone you make a payment to or receive payment from can see every transaction you have made, that isn't the case with your bank account. There is all the reason in the world to add privacy to Cryptocurrency. Imagine a small business doesn't want competitors seeing their transactions?

Would you mind if your bank posted your statements to its website for all to see?

Why would you want to announce your purchases and wallet balance to the world? And as far as illegal goes, most of the things that governments outlaw have no good reason to be so. It's just government being government (always looking for something to meddle in). I fully welcome enabling individuals.

Technology testing goes alpha -> beta -> release candidate (RC) -> public release. DRK moved from beta to RC today.

Yes, it was in beta while bugs were being worked out. Today RC1 was released. The only big things left are putting in payments to masternodes and allowing more than 10 drk to be darksent. In other words, people are buying in now because the final release is near.

So after the 10 DRK darksend limit is removed, to gain maximum privacy, I should create a completely new empty wallet on another computer, and darksend all coins from the original wallet to the new one?

Or, did people not think it was going to progress to this stage? Or, is someone just using the release schedule to pump the hell out of Darkcoin?

i think you could probably create a new address in the same wallet.. whos guna know they are in the same wallet? Yep, I was going to say the same thing. He can just darksend his whole balance to another address in his wallet.
