This makes me sad, why invest with money you cannot afford to lose? Quit being a loser and save some money first for investment!
+1, or get a better job, or lower your expenses etc.. it's very irresponsible to bet with your livelihood. Sometimes you gotta grab opportunity by the balls. The safe bet is rarely a major payoff. I applaud someone who takes an aggressive risk. I was homeless when I bought BTC at $4. The money I spent on that served me much better than paying rent. It's also the same money I've invested in DRK. My DRK investment now stands at 7 digits USD. Original investment was under $500 while I was homeless. I leveraged the power of the very same entitled trash that voted me into homelessness; stupid people. It's entirely reasonable to say that RC3 could still happen today.

FORKED! more forks coming. what a shame. But what does forking have to do with fooling you? I don't get it. If more forks are necessary, so be it. Battbott is a fucking moron, just ignore him.

I suggested a merge mined private clone of Darkcoin for testing purposes only, no value, no exchanges, etc., before commit to Darkcoin.
Response...that is what testnet is for.

I learned that life is full of surprises and opportunities, if you are patient enough, and keep on investing small but regularly, someday a major payoff will come. It will come eventually. But if you go all in all the time, you run the risk of losing very badly. Horrificly, so that you get fucked up beyond repair. One bad bet can ruin your life and throw you back 20 years. I like risk, but why have MORE RISK then necessary? I like to have a backup plan you know. If a backup is good for my wallet, it is also good for my investment plan. ;-)

That is actually a very good idea... but people are not gonna mine the coin if it has no value at all. To be a perfect testing ground it SHOULD have value, and be on exchanges etc...

Where are the panic merchants? I thought price would drop majorly!
They mostly didn't know about any problems till the price had re-stablised. Darkcointalk & twitter took ages to notice, XC thread only just noticed now, and most people on DRK reddit were blaming mintpal entirely for the flash crash for posting about a planned fork & think nothing actually happened. Only IRC and this thread seemed to be keeping up with news.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

Maybe its a case of reaping what DRK Fudders have sown, the massive FUD attacks on XC... And look who is laughing now
XC - XNODES working, Anonymous technology (multipath implemented) - yes it worked - no fork - Oh and a top tier pro dev who knows what he is doing.
DRK - well we can see where DRK is... Fork anyone?
Better call the Karma Police?

Guys WTF.
I've been a longterm holder of DRK for ages but this has gone too far. The original bug was supposed to be an easy fix, yet it took a month for the next release. It's now been found out that the new release doesn't even work. This is twice now.
In that thirty odd days our competition has passed us, imagine what it's going to be like when DRK now gets pushed back even longer. There's even another currency out there with working node payments and they haven't even been around for a third of the time DRK has.
Look, I'm holding onto my coins, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm starting to think Evan is way out of his depth.
