Jeez. I can't believe they forked VRC to take out that hack.
That must be a first for cryptos. How can they possibly think that's going to do anything other than kill the coin ? It's now become a CDT - Centralised Developer Toy.
I don't think those folks have thought through the implications of this properly. I've got some Veri on Mintpal but it doesn't seem to be tradeable right now.
its fucking stupid and makes crypto out to be a joke.

going to get my darkcoins out just to be safe any other good exchanges you guys recommend
For trading more than just DRK/BTC (Bitfinex seems to be good for that), I'd still just use MP, though Poloniex hasn't had any trouble in quite some time and adds coins far quicker. They just don't have too much volume. I guess Bittrex is ok as well, I just don't like their interface. Cryptsy, mine are on it and I didn't encounter any problems ever with them. Some people only ever learn the hard way...

ROADMAP ?
I am trying to evaluate my DRK investment. Essential to know this week's, and this month's, and this summer's plans. As it is difficult to nail down specific dates, it could also be like "probably end of July", or "late next week"; or give dates, with a lot of buffer time.
Is there a roadmap, a list of dates? Planned announcements, whitepapers, next versions, coin features, merchant adoption, conference talks, press conferences, google hangouts, games, competitions, etc. pp. ?
Thank you very much!

Why? Because they are greedy fucks and because they can.
Anyone can see the rampant bot activity on Mintpal just by looking at the order books for a few minutes. Mintpal thus have to admit to having a 'closed beta' trading API - good luck getting access to it without paying them a small fortune.
Basic reason suggests that the biggest users of this 'closed beta' trading API are Mintpal themselves. Since they have mountains of coins that idiots leave on their exchange, it becomes trivially easy for them to bot coin prices up, down or sideways as it suits them, and to long and short at will with other peoples money.
Mostly this works, because they are mostly competent and very experienced at this. They make fortunes and we are all none the wiser.
In this case they fucked up somehow, and as they probably either had the vericoin dev by the balls because he'd paid a large sum to get listed on Mintpal in the first place, or he was in on their scheme from the beginning - think for a moment who's providing the funding for all these shitcoin launches that exchanges benefit from the frenzied trading on! - they jointly decided to do the unthinkable and FUCK WITH THE BLOCKCHAIN for their own benefit.
So, not so much 'Too Big To Fail,' more like, 'We Don't Give A Shit, So Fuck You.' (WDGAS,SFU)
Yup... I dont like this event at all. First time in the entire crypto history to reverse a blockchain to previous state. That goes totally against the trustless and irreversible model. Smells like Gox 2.0 spirit. I am 100% off Mintpal for now, BitFinex is my new home. You have to keep in mind that this reversed hard fork was the only way to rescue VRC at all. If the hard fork wouln't have done 1 person would have had over 30% of all coins existing and the coin would be dead because there the hole trust would have gone. VRC is pos. if you think that way, they reconstruted trust in the coin itself. Either way. It's unbelivable that something like that is even possible on a modern exchange. MP fucked up hard. it was a direct attack by VRC development team on crypto as a WHOLE. Things like this need to happen to create better services for ALL. Mintpal has proven they are no longer trustworthy and unable to keep up with demand which paves the way for better exchanges to take its place. VRC just bailed out a bad apple and now all crypto will suffer from something we all could have benefited from. VRC needs to die, ASAP.

Something is wrong today, already earned 29 DRK today with masternodes! https://darkcointalk.org/threads/1425/I'm thinking of doing another joint MN, this one with 10 joint owners, 100DRK each, to let smaller holders benefit too. If anyone is interested PM me, I'll start another thread on bitcointalk for it and we can coordinate there... because checking poolhash once or twice a day and seeing your MN get paid feels pretty sweet, more people should have the opportunity!
Why don't you use darkcointalk? vertoe is absolutely the guy to see about doing pooled Masternode !! He is a master IT guy, while I'm just very proficient über geek.

This is an innovative project in constant development. Don't expect certainty because it can't be provided. There are not such lists and probably there won't be for quite a time. I understand it can be frustrating, but if you stay around you'll learn to enjoy the surprises

Not very worried, but I don't trade, so they were at MP out of laziness. Laziness leads to losses. My local wallet is my new exchange. There is no perfect exchange and there will never be one. Local wallets are not perfect either because accidents happen. Everyone needs to take responsibility about security and make informed decisions.

Why don't you use darkcointalk? So lets get this straight. You made 29 darkcoin for operating masternodes that are required for darksend. Yet nobody is actually using darksend for anything at this point. What did your masternodes do to earn that 20%. According to this document which is the most recent available http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/DarkSendDocumentation.pdf darksend is currently limited to a transaction size of 10 DRK. Has that limit been lifted? If so it would be a good idea for the dev team to make that information available. If not then just what are masternodes doing at this point in time to earn 20% This is a simple question and not fud. Can anyone answer it? If I'm incorrect about the 10 DRK limit please provide a link to any updated documentation outlining the features of darksend and the masternode network. If darksend isn't going to be fully functional allowing users to send real transactions anonymously until RC4 which is supposedly due out at the end of July, why would masternode operators already be collecting 20% when RC4 hasn't been released? Thanks

NightTrader chose to mention Darkcoin probably because they recognize the market leader. If they really get it working it should be good bye to traditional exchanges.
