Please tell me, or rather, promise me, that in six months we aren't enraged that people are calling NEM a "coin" when it's really so much more than just a coin and we should change "official forums" because it says NEMCoin in the URL? promise me that all the Smiths will be called as 'John', due to the fact that there exist 'Smith, John'

I think it is a waste of time to have pages and pages of discussion on voting system that is going nowhere. Time changes and imo NEM community atmosphere would be different from Nxt's. We will see how it goes but Nxt thread picks up the steam months after the coin is distributed. So in this timeline, NEM thread is already much bigger than Nxt thread if comparing them where the development is at the same level.
Sure, I'll dance. When the Nxt thread was around 288 pages (about a month's time, end of November to end of December), they were also on block 22000+, buying aliases, setting up hallmarks. All that unproductive stuff. Not going to debate the merits or pitfalls of one mass thread (different strokes). Personally, I'd like to see you and the devs more active here, but that's me. You guys are understandably busy. I am looking forward to the sh*tstorm. God bless you guys for having to deal with it, it's gonna be ridiculous. Sh*tstorm = progress = news = less restless natives.

I think all NEM community is looking forward to news from the developers and therefore ask utopianfuture regularly (eg every week - Monday or Thursday) to inform all through this topic and the official topic NEM (simultaneously) a short text about the work done. Good luck to all of us guys!

Are there any app programmers out there that can make a simple NEM wallet for a smartwatch? I will help add to the development bounty if this ever becomes a project. Here is a teardown of Samsung's new Gear 2 smartwatch www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung+Gear+2+Teardown/23990 Some neat features include immersion up to 1 meter of water, 2MP camera, heartrate monitor and IR TV remote.

@updates from devs and stuff: Major updates are always on the first page of this thread. Smaller updates are posted by UP if deemed necessary. The truth sometimes there is just nothing new to report. Would you rather hear "we're working on it" every day instead of some bigger updates from time to time ? I'm droping by quite often (multiple times a day) and try to answer any questions and relay any infos to the team. Some things are also not meant for the public yet as they aren't final and we wan't to avoid "but you said" shitstorms.

We are about on the block -10000. So it will take us sometimes to reach the block 22000 We are now pulling all the resource to make the alpha happen. After that, thing will probably get more exciting. Should remember often productive developers are not the chit-chat type. I only know one that can troll and code at the same time Anyway, Nem core team is going strong and I have a sense that we are working together better than ever.

I know a developer who make a payment app for Pebble https://getpebble.com/. The last time I talked to him about Bitcoin he is not that interested but that was just a brief mentioning of Bitcoin. Anyway if that's the something the community wants then at some point it is best starting to look for a developer and contract him. Bounty system works best when it is really big and got advertised massively.

Not yet. Waiting list will be considered after we deal with the refunding process.

This is how i understood his question: I want to know whether NEM will be a decentralized crypto platform on which will be possible to build (host) decentralized internet sites and autonomous decentralized companies (DACs)? Looking forward on this issue, because the general global decentralization - This is our future and a step towards a new development of all mankind in general.
