make sure you backup your wallet. also, unless you want to wait a few days to sync, you're probably better downloading the chain on that page.

I will upload the new chain in a day or 2. Atm, syncing from blocks since the hardfork is very quick.. it's just the blocks before which are painful.

Been out of HUC for a while. Anyone care to update what happen since March 2014? Have we solved what will happen after coin run out of its supply. And I hear another coin has now also incorporated gaming (motocross).

you won't get many unless you buy some significant hash power
you can try using a mining calculator, there are many (sha256 and scrypt) and you should only need the difficulty and the amount of hash you have (and block times?).

but - they will / maybe not be to accurate due to dual algo.

You would also need to mine in a pool (f2pool) -- the problem with p2pool is that merged mining coins is like solo mining, so you'd need a significant amount of hash to get any (as in, giant pool amounts) - I will put a public bounty to possibly add altchains to p2pool for namecoin and huntercoin.

Of course you would need to merge mine or would be a complete waste of energy.

New HUC:ME version released: V 1.0.3 (858)
this is mandatory, everybody need to update or authentication will fail

* add some visual hints
   * display ghost coins where they could spawn (Image 1)
   * display coloured spawn/bank areas (Image 2)
   * enanched console visualization for message regarding alarms (Image 3)
   * revamped messaging system, more compacth and readable, with clickable elements when needed (like alarms that point to hunters like in console) (Image 4)

i spotted a little visual bug (popup message when your hunter reach destination are with a "warning" skin while they were supposed to be with a "success" skin, will be fixed in the next update  


* fixed a bug about player disappearing, now i join information taken from name_list plus name_pending, case of disappearing hunters should be gone (or at least very rare, never happened)

fixed some behaviour about hunter/player selection
* now selecting a player from "My Troop" window will autoselect the general
* using the shearch feature, will show path of the selected found hunter, like if you select it in "Cell Info" window (previously it only selected the hunter)


*fixed some problems about fee system someone had faced, eg:
- fee is requested after synchronization ends
- fixed some buggy behaviours that could cause the client ask the fee twice for 5 minutes

* improved website backend, now when your client has an error i send that error to my server so i can understand what's wrong and it's easier for me to fix that

Also a warning for all - I had been playing/testing heavily - i had not backed up for 3 days (took me a bit to realize this)... in those 3 days i had done a  lot of nametx moves etc..
i was using a ram drive and turned off my pc..
When I resync'd I had lost all my 1200 coins.. balance = 0 -- but it displayed all my moves, lpayer deaths etc, although some nametx had some weird values..

After lots of panic, resyncing, rescanning etc etc - the conclusion was:

as with all(most) cryptos - When you do a tx (nameupdate/move) - you send your "chunks" of coins (maybe 1000 even if it's just a 0.01 fee) and you receive the change.
In the time i had not backed up - I had lost the privatekeys for the addresses the change was sent to.
Looking at the tx list i thought it was some weird corruption - but it was not.

Moral of the Story - if you are a heavy player (botter or playing with many many characters) make sure you backup often.

I can only second this!  Also, setting your "keypool" option to a value higher than the default 100 seems like a good idea.

Got the wallet down and was trying to get the .zip file to unzip in my library folder but something was not working correctly and it wasn't unzipping..  I'm not sure if it's because of different file formats Mac/Windows etc.  If I use the files from Mega do I download each of the chain files separately?
