I installed the qt client on 2 machines on friday, it normal for the blockchain to only be halfway done downloading, 3-4days later? lol

a couple of posts back is the link to teh blockchain up to less than a week ago. I highly recommend starting with it or you'll be syncing forever. |

Would sure be awesome if there was embeddable javascript for websites who wanted to act like a source to host the blockchain for this game and make it so people could go to a website and start playing without having to download the blockchain or trust 3rd party code that isn't open source.

Thats in the works OG, with a centralized server. Android and maybe Iphone app too.. not sure of the details. On another note, I'm not a member of nastyfans, but was for a couple years.  edit: actually not sure what you are saying totally, but making it easier for people to get going is at the top of the list. |

A Huntercoin website would be nice that allowed people to hear about Huntercoin and be mining within 5 minutes.   Also to be able to download the app on your phone in order to manage your little miners while on the go. The web browser HUC client and the cell phone app will be webwallets too I imagine. (I feel your pain Jungian) Possibly sell the app with a few preloaded coins/miners in order to encourage people to become involved with Crypto as a whole. I just see this coin directly helping BTC/Crypto as a whole and I would image this is going to have a bright bright future. Also the fact that HUC is valued not only as a crypto currency, but as a mining investment as well (you need HUC to manually mine, but your pool can get "free" HUC by merge mining it.. which is sweet too for old school miners.) Can't use them now anyway I don't think a bounty will be needed for this although it may not hurt. There are a number of things that HUC needs (like games, Ramen Noodle shop and other crypto currency like things.) I've just been just donating to Domob and Snailbrain when I can. |

People don't seem to notice the potential for huntercoin. Even people on this thread. If huntercoin adapts a little by letting people play the game and possibly earn huc when they do not have any yet, the price will skyrocket and there will be more huc fans than a person can count.
Huntercoin, as far as I know, is the only coin that can be mined by human power, in fact requires it. This is probably going to become the norm within a year or two as crypto gains traction in the third world and innovators try to make distribution more egalitarian.
Huntercoin really is ahead of the game right now, it seems stuck though. If there is support for making the coin more widely available, and easier to earn by newcomers i.e., people who don't have any, I can put some effort into promoting the coin.
100% agree. For now lets just keep in our dirty little secret until we have something to present to people that is playable within 5 mins, so people don't become frustrated and walk away "for good" as we have seen during the beginning of this Huntercoin journey. There will be a time to push marketing and it will present itself, but now is not the time. Maybe a little push here and a little push there (need a little lobbying in the Bittrex IRC ect.) DOGE didn't start getting it's real push until like 30-40% of all the coins where already in circulation... we are currently at 8.3% in circulation roughly. The market can kind of do as it pleases right now... A: No one can short us. B: 100 BTC will buy the all the coins ever made at these levels. C: Adding 100BTC of HUC will drive us back to where this coins should be and everyone who added at these levels will have a nice little fat stack of HUC. |

You are totally not familiar with the characters on map. More than 90% of characters are created by few people playing this game by hand, not by bot.  Not saying that it is a bad thing or anything. Bots and human players together will end up making this thing a big success. It is just part of it. (you are right I'm not familiar atm besides Huntercoin.info ect, so I'm kinda talking out of my ass! ) |
