Please add the option of power limit --pl in Linux as when I try to start the miner with this option it gives the error GPU Power Limit not supported in Linux.I did manage to power down the cards with nvidia-smi command but it would be much better if this option is implemented in the near future.

Sorry if it has already been asked, but i'm looking for a free tool to monitor computers on same lan mining with t-rex on windows.
i can access api via http and can NAT it to access it remotly but cannot regroup all my rig in one place.

Hey there, I wrote a quick and dirty app that does exactly what you're looking for. Right now it just pulls my API data from whatever IP is in the text field, but I can set it up to pull from as many IP's as you like. I'm not too much of a coder, javascript gives me hives but I have a fair bit of experience with LiveCode. With LiveCode you can either build standalone binaries or just run the stack file in in the IDE. It's an easy programming language to audit for security purposes, and it's easy to compile your own binaries for Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, etc. Hopefully there'll be someone who'd be kind enough to take the time to check over my work when I get v1.0 ready. I'm more than happy to make the source available, and making your own binaries is simple.

I'll try to have something ready by monday, the 26th. Will definitely need input and suggestions if this becomes an actual project, lots of possibilities as far as added features. On that note, it'd be very useful if t-rex had a flag to allow changes to the API using an api key or password you can set in the cmd string or config file. (I need to read the latest changelog, is this a thing already?)

BTW sorry to hijack the thread, I'm a t-rex user myself and have always wondered if my app would be useful to more than just me, lol. If the app gets used I'll make my own thread. If my name seems familiar, it's because I am the original Edric. My account got hijacked around march 2015. I was too busy destroying myself back then to care. Got my life back in order finally, and have been just lurking for a while. Hopefully someone remembers me. Used to run a few pools back in the day. Earned a lot of trust back in the day and worked hard for it, will do my best to earn it back.

T-Rex 0.21.5

* (Linux) Add GPU power limit management support (see "--pl" parameter for details)

Bug fixes:
* (autolykos2) Duplicate share issue
* (Windows) Fans spin up to 100% in auto-fan mode if GPU temperature is well below the target temperature
* (Web UI) "watchdog-exit-mode" parameter is missing in the config

I've been working on the API tool a little bit, been a busy week. Simply turning my single API grab tool into a multi IP grabber is turning out to be more of a mess than I bargained for. And, yeah, I'm fairly rusty as well. I ended up starting over so I can end up with something fairly clean. There'll be a text field where you'll enter your IP:Port , one per line. Hit the button and another handler changes each line into a URL, fetches each URL with some basic error handling, caches the responses from each url, then chews up the data from each result until the data we want for each is ready, and so forth.
Figure I'll start off with each line showing IP - GPU NAME - xx.xx MH/s - TEMP - ADDR@POOL - Huh? Share A/R? - Other stuff?

Will need input for that stuff but once its finished I'd ideally like to have a menu where you can flag what data bits you want after it parses the JSON output. I'm trying doing this from scratch hoping that I can come up with something that's easily customizable. Screenshot in link. I'll start my own thread next time I post.

Hello, I have an old r9 290 left over from the old days that I used to mine zcash. Will it work with t-rex on autolykos mining? Anyone has any idea about the hashrate i'll get? Any recommendations from people with similar cards?

I recently upgraded my rigs from XUbuntu 16.04 to XUbuntu 18.04 using Nvidia-driver-470 and t-rex 0.21.5.
On most rigs the hashrate has dropped from 31 to 27 (1070TI).
I have only one rig out of ten that kept the 31 rate...

What could be causing this drop in hashrate ?

Are they all 1070ti rigs? The 10xx series will drop in hashrate as the ETH Dag size increases. Assuming your mining ETH. Smiley

Hello.

Am I right that trex is not able to show GPU memory temperature in miner console on Windows?

I am on Gminer now and it shows it.

Thanks.

T-Rex does show the memory temperature, which version are you running? The functionality was introduced in 0.21.0

Yes they are all 1070ti but I figured what went wrong and got it solved.

When installing Xubuntu 18.04 there is something called 'gpumanager' and that 'bastard' takes over the xorg.conf file on every reboot..
Took me day to figure out who/why/what was changing my custom xorg file everytime causing the coolbits not to set on the GPU's except only the first card....
So added 'nogpumanager'  at grub's config file and problem solved.
Everything running on 31MHs again :-)

I have tried 0.21.3 and 0.21.4 but it didn't show me the memory temp. It is showed by default or I have to add additional commands to bat file?

Thanks.

PS: I am using minerstat for Windows.

It's showed by default. Could you show the screenshot of T-Rex console where the memory temperature is not visible, and then the same of Gminer (running on the same GPUs)? Thanks.

The problem is

in your config, it disables GPU monitoring including the memory temps. Just replace it with
Code:
"no-nvml": false
, and it should fix the issue.
