Ok, its a defensive mechanism. However, even if the worker was flagged, or whatever, its shares were accepted, not rejected, so I had very little clue about whats happening.

PS: No, I'm not using stratum, I think vardiff is bugged, however, I cant tell you exactly how. I need to add some extra logging module and perform more logging. I think the vardiff algs rounds down somehow, especially when the miner client has itself a variable speed (e.g. FPGA with variable clock).
Again, right now it is just some feeling.

I've started a poll regarding Merged Mining (Namecoins).  As I stated recently in slush's thread, the namecoin project feels like it's abandonware.  Very little work has been done since merged mining was released last year, usage is not picking up, and the value of NMC continues to become a smaller and smaller percentage of income.  I'm likely going to drop NMC merged mining and stick purely to BTC unless there is a demand for it to remain available.  In that case, I may setup a special getwork-only enabled server for people who want to continue mining NMC.

Finally a poll worth voting on.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

I'm starting to deploy some site-wide changes to the pool to prepare for the reduced block rewards.  You may see brief periods of your rewards looking funny, but these should generally only last 30-60 seconds as I tweak the pages to get the calculations to display properly.

All of the displays on the website and API are now updated to support changes to the block rewards (~Nov 29th before this occurs).  If you're noticing any odd numbers, please report them to me in an email with your  username so I can view it myself to find the problem if there is one.

The above post is from two days ago so I am not sure it is matters.

Currently my miners appear to be functioning fine but my stats speed page
has 0.00 for every miner. I am not sure why.

As for namecoins I have not even bothered to setup a wallet for it. They just keep
adding up and I would imagine I could not even trade them for a single BTC yet
based on the amount I have so far.

Same problem. Stratum workers are working and reporting on the account page. However the non-Stratum mineres are mining but nothing is showing on the account page. Just a heads up. They started not to show at 10:10am EST.

What servers are you using to connect?  I'm not able to recreate the problem.

One was on mine2 one was on mine3.  Stratum was unaffected. The problem went on for about 45min.

The problem is - your pool cut all non-stratum miners(phoenix and CGMiner 2.7.6 in my case). All stratum versions of CG are minus 10% shares for me, and they are unacceptuble. Migrate to any stratum miner from my other rig - too. The question is - can I use my miners in your pool in the future?
Regards, and sorry for my bad english.

Was it just the speed that wasn't updating?  The reports sound like regular stats were still showing up (share accepts/rejects).  Were they new workers, renamed worker, or old workers?

No, I recieved mail:
"Some of your miners have gone idle on BTC Guild. You will not receive any additional idle worker emails until you reset your idle time. The following miners have not submitted shares recently:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has not submitted shares for 14 minutes.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has not submitted shares for 14 minutes."

I edited my previous post, please look on it.

Speed and shares were not showing up. Said miners were idle for 44:52 till it started showing up again. The whole time the miners were submitting and having shares accepted.

After the 44 minutes, did all of the previously accepted shares show up at once?

It is happening to me right now, user 41599, workers: *_0, *_2, *_tst3.

Update: I restarted everything after 25 minutes. Despite what I told you in PM, actually the malfunctioning workers are able to pull jobs trough already opened connections, but they are unable to open new connections to submit job results, those failed attempts to open new connections are visible with netstat as CLOSE_WAIT. If I restart the application, everything seems to get solved. I would guess there is some issue with routers/firewalls, maybe.
