sweet Octoglass!  Cheesy

Thanks, added a couple of notes that I intended to put in the first place. It's rough, it's wrong. But it looks cool for a quick initial etch.

Because of a nightmare journey to the Airport I wasn't able to share these pictures a little over a week ago, but now I'm back I can show you the prototype pics Warty hasn't shown you. We were pushed for time so only managed to test the machine, the first one is a fail.

This is the picture Warty showed you of the 2nd glass. Right way up but still just a test etching, more to come.

We also have the ball rolling on the OctoChalice. The first prototype was made after a short conversation and a link to the octohub.org

Although awesome, the legs are not fully representative of what the glasses will look like, they'll be even better...

And for anyone who missed my earlier post

Quote
Here is a rough guide to the prices and production numbers.

Artist etched - 8 or 10 individual glasses. half sold at 15,000 888, half silent auctioned.
Machine etched sets - Probably 4 glasses in a set, 2 sets to choose from (or buy both) price is a bit of an unknown at the mo, but say 15,000 888 per set
Pimp Chalice - Very, Very limited. Hand made, probably maximum 4. These will cost us a lot to commission (approx $100 a piece) so could be pretty pricey, but like I said VERY limited. estimated 40,000 - 50,000 888

Regarding the price, we all know and expect 888 to go up in value so if you think you'll want one when they're ready I'd suggest buying up some cheap octo and putting it aside for a glass or glasses. Worst case scenario, we fail to make the glasses happen, you sell 1,000's of octo at a higher price.

Also we are looking to include worldwide delivery from the UK in the 888 price :-)

The person with the 3.8 BTC buy order will not dump for a 2.5% profit... His eyes are on a much bigger number, I'm sure.  Wink

If I'm not mistaken he already has a lot more 888 than that stashed away... If that was his wallet I came across in the block explore earlier... And I think it was.  Grin

On another note...

Has anyone here had any dealings with GAW Miners? If you have trouble with their customer service (and at some point you probably will); PM me and I will give you the go to gal's email who can move mountains there and get things done. It took me a few days, but I tracked her down and she resolved my problem in an hour... Now hopefully they will compensate me for the time that my new rig was lost in transit... or upgrade me to a bigger rig...

Yes 2.5% isn't worth dumping for. I have no intentions of dumping my wallets anytime in the near future. I haven't sold any 888 yet. If people are willing to sell to me for under $0.01 each, then I'll keep buying.  Smiley

I've managed to wrangle a few thousand more the past couple weeks. Anxiously waiting to see the OctoHub projects!

This thread has been a bad influence on me... I have always been an investor, not a miner. Many times, 888 were hard to buy and I wanted more... So I rented some mining rigs... Then I bought three gridseed orbs... then I bought a few Zeusminer Blizzards... Then I grabbed a few more Gridseed orbs, dirt cheap, off eBay... and then I ordered a Black Widow... and now I'm considering what to buy next... maybe a 750Mh/s Vaultbreaker?

Bad influences all around.  Wink But, it has been a fun ride... even if my wife doesn't like the sound of my rigs churning out hashes, day and night. I keep reminding her of our upcoming Vegas vacation next Spring and she gets better.  Grin

Although, she still wishes that I would move the miners to my office, downtown...

Lol, this thread has been a bad influence on me as well. I have spent FAR more than I ever intended to, and I just can't help myself.  Grin
I'm sure we'll be rewarded soon enough and our wives will once again love us  Cheesy

And I can't wait till Vegas!!!!! I'm hoping we have some firm dates by October so I can bid my vacation leave for 2015 and set some time aside for the OctoParty!!!

Don't buy any new zeus stuff (or rebrands), there is a thread on litecointalk, 1st 180 pages were all good, promises to the sky, while they pilfered money from everyone, then they started shipping, now the last 400 + pages are complaints, and in the last week they are shipping people used equipment.  Dodgy Dodgy Dodgy STAY AWAY!

Half right, the most important half  Wink

Hopefully some good news tomorrow then.

The buzz on Twitter seems to be that people into alt trading are (finally!) tiring of the relentless PnD schedule and focus is shifting to established coins with strong dev support and a purpose.

Time for Octo to step up and shine.

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time.  Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.

Getting bout that time for the first Octohub project. Any predictions on which one they show off first? I am hoping for a cloud wallet so that you can send Octo from your phone.... maybe we will even get lucky and get a cloud wallet with an exchange built in like Counterparty Smiley Just my lucky guess Smiley fingers crossed!
