It's also worth noting that Izzy pretty much dominated until getting knocked out. So, while Alex is definitely a good knockout artist, he probably does get beat convincingly without getting that knockout. Obviously, it doesn't matter if he can continue to find that knock out, but I'm not convinced he can.
We are going to see if Izzy has Achilles' heel or not, but he showed weakness not just against Alex Pereira but also in fight with Jan Błachowicz. His game is great but far from perfect and I think that mental condition will be the key in fight against Pereira. As much as I like Adesanya I think that he can be little cocky sometimes and he can pay the price for this. New training video just released on Adesanya youtube channbel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtbrq5L23U8As far as weaknesses go, Adesanya is no match vs Blachowicz. In hind sight because the match was at 205, Adesanya showed that he couldn't bulk up enough to make the full weight... And Blachowicz turned out to be yuuuge. As for Pereira, dunno... He has the power but Adesanya is better technically. Slight lean on Adesanya but from a betting perspective Pereira via KO could be a fun bet. Hopefully it's lined somewhere around 4.50 - 5.00. But surely the books will turn on the juice and line it around 2.50 - 3.00. :/ I agree that sometimes Israel Adesanya can get a little cocky. In many fights, he has failed to read the condition of his opponent during the fight. That has sometimes made him make some mistakes based on those faulty readings. He is a good fighter, there is no doubt about that. But he also has some weaknesses and if exploited correctly those weaknesses can become his downfall. I still think that Israel Adesanya has what it takes to bring a W in this match. But the fight is not going to be easy.

Yeah, although Izzy did move up a weight class, and was significantly under weight, since that division allows a larger amount of weight difference, obviously. So, it's understandable how he was taken to the ground a lot. The most surprising thing to me was due to that ground threat he was actually losing on the stand up exchanges. I'd expect him to be a lot better if he were to go up again though.
I won't compare Pereira with Błachowicz this is what happens when you start to think you are invincible so much that you can move category with same weight. Izzy is going to be much better against Pereira, but people are demanding to see more action in his fights so he must take more risks in this fight. He can't go on with his safe attitude for long as a champion his division. As far as weaknesses go, Adesanya is no match vs Blachowicz. In hind sight because the match was at 205, Adesanya showed that he couldn't bulk up enough to make the full weight... And Blachowicz turned out to be yuuuge. Adesanya almost didn't change his standard weight and any other top light-heavyweight would won that fight, not just Blachowicz. Same thing would happen if Blachowicz would go to heavyweight category to fight Francis Ngannou.

^ Adesanya will not be cocky when facing someone like Pereira. He knows Pereira has the power to shut his lights out given the opportunity to strike. Bending almost didn't work with Whittaker, he got lucky that its not a solid punch and use his way to counter. He may not be able to do that against Pereira. He will probably just keep the distance.
But had Izzy really slowed down seeing his last 3 fights did ended just UDs?

As for moving up, I didn't take it being cocky, I thought it was rather respectable to be able to risk your zero by taking on a challenge which a lot of people said wouldn't be an easy one. I'm more of a fan of people who dare to be, than are naturally gifted, and get it all.
I know Izzy does have a cocky persona, but I just think most of that's self belief. He believed he could of done it, and every interview I've seen since he's basically said he tried to do his best, and he wasn't good enough.
Damn, I hate weekends without UFC. Especially since other sports are taking a break too.

Somehow I think Adesanya and Pereira fight is not going to go full distance. Probably it will last for 1 or 2 rounds only. Reason - I think Pereira is not quite ready for MMA fights, I think he has not much experience of how much strength and stamina fighting at the fence or on the ground take and how much should be saved. Cant explain why, but I think Pereira is going to rush in this fight.
For me, it will go the distance and it is a win for Israel Adesanya, I know Adesanya is quite cocky and nobody likes his fighting style but apparently, this will surely be saving his skin, for me, I think that Izzy has already learned from that Jan Blachowicz fight, and that he can sure win this match if the fight go the distance, and a definitely for me Izzy might take the high attitude but he would surely have a hard time on this and it will be going to be an easy fight. Experience-wise, I agree, Adesanya has the upper hand. But as notblox1 said, the cockiness might get the better of him. That is a chance Pereira should take like how Weidman defeated the Spider Silva because of playing too much in the octagon. Being a champion for long has that weakness of overconfidence while the opponent is hungry to snatch the belt from him.
Both are standing-style fighters, take down defense is high. Will Pereira try to mix it up by training for a takedown and play it on the mat or will he just try the same kickboxing style?
I think Pereira will still go for the old approach the one that ends up with Israel Adesanya in their kickboxing match and this kind of punch was the one that is haunting Adesanya, but if Alex Pereira would have trained for a takedown and wrestling then for me I would definitely go with Alex Pereira, but it can not happen in a short moment of time, and if Israel Adesanya would not let his emotion surpasses him then he might lose this, but I am still going with Izzy here,
And just in Kevin Holland retires??? from sports and searched for a new career and posted on his Instagram and shockingly retired before hitting 30 years old, but before this, he is talking about being a champion and correcting all the mistakes he is been doing inside the octagon and now he is then retiring but I think he is asking something from the UFC and he doesn't get it, because he posted a Daniel Rodriguez VS Neil Magny fight that is happening October 15, I think he might be asking for a Niel Magny fight, but I guess Li Jingliang should also be upset in this fight aswell because he didn't get that rematch he deserves, for me, Li Jingliang was the one constantly screwed here,

As for Kevin Holland, you never really know what's going on with him, since he loves to troll the fans, and the fighters he fights. I don't think he'll be retiring, unless he's got a contract for boxing, since I wouldn't have thought he's made enough money in his career to retire just yet, when arguably bigger named fighters than him, with longer careers are complaining about the money they make, and basically being homeless in some cases.
I believe Chimaev claimed that or something along those lines, I know he lived in the gym that he was training at. So, no I don't believe Holland when he says he's retiring. Although, maybe he got a little extra on the side for accepting the fight against Chimaev, and basically keeping the event alive.

Like Nate wanting to fight with Jake Paul. Everybody's turning to exhibitions like Anderson vs Fedor Emelianenko. Holland retirement is too early for his career, he can do a lot in sports so he might be famous for short-term notice. If Dana White needs someone to fight that very moment, he can call Kevin.

One reason why Connor and Floyd fight was because Floyd wants to prove boxing is a better sport. This is then where Pauls got the idea that they can make money using twitter to fight MMA fighters in boxing. 😁
Anyway. It really is somehoa unfair for other fighters who started from the ground and has to fight a list of monsters for the chance of title fight. Peirera did it well and I think Dana couldn't find one that coud challenge Adesanya.
However, the only real reason why Floyd Mayweather has agreed to fight Conor McGregor is money. Floyd knew that Conor will never win against him in the boxing ring. In any case, for the next event we have our favorite sexy fighting kitten Mackenzie Dern. She is BJJ expert hehehehee.

while on boxing which is I would say have many deaths than with the MMA, and pretty much cuts like these are pretty much common
No wonder there are such huge cuts only in MMA. It is impossible to make such a cut with boxing glove. Such cuts can occur in boxing after head clash or if a bloody bruise explodes. But boxing, imho, is much more traumatic, mainly because there is no pause (like clinch, ground game) from receiving punches. Last UFC was kinda bloody. If not mistaken, Gregory Rodrigues was not the only one to get a huge cut. Song Yadong also got a juicy elbow cut. But that is nothing to Overeems smile Some good cuts can be found on Reddit (just scroll down, and in case link is broken, just google fighters name) If you think MMA is more barbaric and brutal compared to boxing you obviously haven't done your research. I would suggest you look up how many fighters have died in the last 5 years in MMA and how many fighters have died in the last 5 years in boxing. In MMA, or in the UFC which is the most popular stage of MMA, the fight is stopped whenever one fighter gets knocked out or concussion. But in boxing, if a fighter is knocked out there is a count of 10. If the fighter stands on his feet in the count of 10, he can continue and after that, he gets beat up more and more. This is a list of fighters dying because of boxing: List of deaths due to injuries sustained in boxingAnd this is a list of fighters dying because of MMA: Has Anyone Died in UFC (MMA)?Now tell me which one is more brutal?

Oh.. And here I thought you just made that thought out of the blue. I searched Kevin Holland and he is really giving hints about retiring... Lol. But you're right. And it's also hard to take the guy seriously given his history. He usually kids around a lot so I wouldn't be really surprised if he was just doing it for engagement and the lulz. He prolly got paid some money but I doubt it's as big as what they paid Diaz. At the post fight press conference Diaz says he lost count on how much the UFC paid him.

I think he mean about barbaric and brutal is about bloody or huge cuts that's usually happen on MMA rather than boxing, not about death. I tend to agree boxing is more dangerous than MMA since the stoppage on boxing are to late until the boxer fall down after taking so many punches. MMA are more flexible to hit on most part of your body and you can win via submission that doesn't make you have serious injury, while boxing is more targeted to your head which increase the chance of getting brain damage.

MMA is more barbaric and brutal? It is more entertaining and exciting to watch. If we compare the damage boxers get and the damage MMA fighters get, then I would say boxing is far more dangerous. In MMA we have 1001 way to finish the fight, to stop your opponent. In boxing, every head punch is dangerous and can end persons life. Cut can heal, bruises will be gone after some time, broken bones can be fixed, but damage to the brain can not be cured. Also, I have never seen stories when an MMA fighter died in the ring or on same or next day after the fight. In boxing, we have such examples, and they are more than "can be counted by fingers on one hand".
It is because boxing fights are not very brutal in many people's eyes since fight injuries in boxing is more on swelling and cuts happen when an injured part exploded after hit, headbutts cut, accidental elbow strikes and didn't even think that repeatedly receiving blow to the head is dangerous that may result to brain hemorrhage which makes it much more dangerous. In MMA, it looks very dangerous compared to boxing because damage in mma have injuries that looks like very brutal but what I mostly saw are cuts, broken bones though mma is still dangerous since there are serious injuries too like fractured skull that may be the cause of death if not lucky to survive since it is possible that a piece of fractured skull will hit the brain after impact and also we know that there are many ways a fight will stop.

He might just be trolling the UFC and Dana White for not having the fight he wants, and we all know that Kevin Holland accepts the fight that he doesn't have the preparation for and gives the UFC the fight that they want, him against Chimaev, but Dana White doesn't want to give him what he wants and I don't know if Daniel Rodriguez or Neil Magny, but either on these fighters he wants to fight, After reading an article I couldn't believe that he wants to retire early but after looking at his Instagram post I think he wants to say something, that this is all set up for the UFC to listen to him, Everybody is searching for new careers nowadays but combat sports from Floyd's exhibition spree. Kevin Holland might want bigger money on this but I don't really know if that retirement was just a stunt, so the UFC or Dana White will see it, I surely don't want to believe it, but again he has made a solid statement he might want to change career or even fight on an exhibition match with a high payment exhibition match, or this is just a set up so the UFC or Dana White could see it, and pretty much his fans were upset hearing this,

Damn, I hate weekends without UFC. Especially since other sports are taking a break too.
Yeah it's boring with UFA and without football, but there was very good Bellator event with Yoel Romero just finsihed, so maybe you can check that. There is also Dana White Contender Series I am watching recently and they are great to watch, Dana is forcing them to show all their skills. I am not specially excited with next UFC event starting this weekend

While Yoel Romero is still keeping the pace on Bellator Khamzat Chimaev, is going up on 185 lbs, so likely he will be switching on both divisions, he might target Paulo Costa because they got beef on one another, or he can take of Robert Whittaker but for me, he will likely have problem with Whittaker and he wants to train with him so I think Paulo Costa will be a good fight and getting to the champion on the Middleweight division, I think missing weight had some good sign for him but for me this is likely what he is planning, to get the Middleweight and then the Welterweight division,

If you think MMA is more barbaric and brutal compared to boxing you obviously haven't done your research. I think he mean about barbaric and brutal is about bloody or huge cuts that's usually happen on MMA rather than boxing, not about death. I tend to agree boxing is more dangerous than MMA since the stoppage on boxing are to late until the boxer fall down after taking so many punches. MMA are more flexible to hit on most part of your body and you can win via submission that doesn't make you have serious injury, while boxing is more targeted to your head which increase the chance of getting brain damage. Now point me where in the post that you have quotes I have written that MMA is more brutal, lol? And be my guest, read my posts that came after what you have quoted and I think you would be amazed. If not still not amazed, redo that until amazed @TopTort777 I got your point dear,, I think that getting cut is far better compared to not being alive. We all know about the broken bone injury that can happen in MMA. That certainly does not happen in boxing. But broken bones can heal. I think we all know about Parkinson's disease. The best boxer of all time, Muhammad Ali suffered from Parkinson's disease because of getting hit on the head too much. At least those don't happen in MMA. I know that at one point in life everyone has Parkinson's disease because of being old. But because of boxing that can happen a lot quicker. The point that I am trying to make is, injuries from MMA can be career-ending, but injuries from boxing can be life-ending.

Floyd = Money. It would be fun watching women fight and show something like what Tai Emery did. Sure its going to be fun, it will kill the OnlyFans girls. Tai Emery flashes her tits to the fans after winning a KO fight in BKFC. It will happen again as she promised she will show more. And probably not just her, some women may also do this. This will probably make BKFC popular. I think Dana will be furious if someone does flash tits in UFC cage.

Yes, it is better to be injured, cut, or have broken bones than to have your life taken away, there are certain things Boxing and MMA differed, and MMA the referee is responsible for stopping the fight and they will not count 1 to 10 for a knock out they will cut the fight short if they think there other fighters are not capable of fighting anymore, that is why even though many are saying that MMA is more brutal and barbaric for some but for me I have learned a technical analysis that it is way safer to fight on MMA, because if we could see it on the technical aspect of things you would know that in MMA it is OK to have a follow up punch than getting it on the head multiple times, Floyd = Money. It would be fun watching women fight and show something like what Tai Emery did. Sure its going to be fun, it will kill the OnlyFans girls. Just as I have said in my recent post Floyd's nickname is literally money, well that fight with Mackenzie Dern VS Xiaonan Yan will be an epic one that is for sure, that fighting Kitten Mackenzie Dern has a killer body that will surely kill any opponent she fights, Tabatha Ricci is another fighting kitten that I want to watch as well there are so much exciting matches that surely I am anticipating to watch, well cleary the UFC fight was next week and I am likely waiting for the Dana White's Contender Series that will be on 09/27/2022,

Yeah it's boring with UFA and without football, but there was very good Bellator event with Yoel Romero just finsihed, so maybe you can check that. There is also Dana White Contender Series I am watching recently and they are great to watch, Dana is forcing them to show all their skills. I am not specially excited with next UFC event starting this weekend I tune into Bellator events now, and again. I do find them heavily skewed a lot of the time though, and if you check the odds they usually reflect that. I'm much more interested in sport in general when I've put together an accumulator, without it I wouldn't watch nearly as much as I do. Bellator doesn't really make that possible, due to the matchmaking they seem to do. At least with the UFC, there's only the occasional landslide. For example, like the Nate vs Chimaev fight that got cancelled. I wasn't all that interested in that fight due to the matchmaking, but also the odds didn't make it exciting at all.
