Sure. To understand the difference, you just need to compare the current odds and the odds that the bookmakers gave for the first match. I agree with you. Monaco will fail to win if Shakhtar Donetsk adopts defensive tactics. Monaco is not a bad team, but they are not strong enough to break Shakhtar Donetsk's defense and win the match by scoring a goal. When a team prioritizes defensive play over the attack, it is much harder to score against them. Without an experienced and talented player and without the help of luck, It is almost impossible to score a goal.

Going 2-0 in the first half against a team that suppose to be better than you is not an easy task neither, I mean don't get me wrong kudos to their amazing defense on the second half as well but that was just the easy part if you ask me, that is not going to be that though to not get scored 2 goals in one half, all you have to do is play good defense and yes that is a good thing too but scoring 2 goals in the first half was the key there.

They played very well and they are going to play well again next time they play as well. I think bookmakers are a bit misled by Monaco's last season. I watched a few summaries and there were very often extremely close games with the lucky end for Monaco.
