You guys remember recent controversy, where one prominent Indian Sport Journalist (Boria Majumdar) threatened Wriddhiman Saha for not giving exclusive interview. There was fair amount of outrage from the fans in favor of Saha. Kinda funny story. Initially Saha didn't name the Journalist but he shared the screenshots of chat on Twitter. Twitter/Fans found one interesting typo "ypu" instead of "you" . Boria had a habit of writing "you" as "ypu" and well haha

He started his career if I am not wrong with NDTV and was last seen working for India today. A sports journalist threatening a cricketer, LOL. BCCI doing it right for a change by banning him for two years. This will end his career as he was majorly was into cricket and every sports journalist in India is into cricket as it generates revenue for media channels.

Idk much about his past but he does have such a punchable face. I've never liked his coverage because he always come as jerk who think that "i know everything" and looked down upon other journalists and fans. He's the same who kept leaking the inside stories of selection committee and dressing room (3-4 years) because he was very close to Dada. Would be great if BCCI extend this ban to 5 years and complete boycott to this moron, this include ICC tournaments/ipl exclusive interviews.

I really think he should be punished because if the player is going to give you an exclusive interview is just his own opinion.

The NDA government has managed to cut them down to size, but some exceptions remain, such as Boria. He is not just a journalist, and his influence is spread over the political and movie circles as well (similar to some of the other journalists mentioned earlier). In the end, Wriddhiman decided that enough was enough and came out with a complaint. Boria got a two year ban from the BCCI as a result. He can't enter cricket stadiums or contact players for a period of 24 months.

There should be serious repercussion for those officials too, otherwise another journalist is going to replace the Boria. In near future we might not hear such cases in public domain but hardly anything is going to change when in closed rooms.

It's not only in India, the whole south Asia media is getting out of control. The primary reason is that these media houses have joined political parties and when there party came into power they do such dirty tactics. Shahid Afridi who was big supporter of Imran Khan is now criticising Imran Khan to get some benefits from new government.

Anyway, I also agree that the media in the whole of Southeast Asia is especially getting out of control because they have certain connections with certain political leaders and that's why they basically don't care about anything much.

This is very unfortunate that media houses have no ethics specially in South Asia or South East Asia. The role of media is to play its role while remaining neutral but that's not the case these days. These media houses have polluted sports with there dirty tactics.

Senior Journalists these days hook up with politicians and then using those politicians they blackmail or show authority on players. The irony is that is that they have politicians in power corridors regardless of which party is in government. This behaviour is getting stronger with each passing year.

Here I agree with your statement about these journalists they have no manners and mostly works for bucks and trying to have some masala for their media houses which is creating some good messup, and it's hurting big community in this region because here most of South Asian countries controlled by dirty politics and never allow any good laws which help to bring some better writers and journalists for better understanding about things. About Shahid Afridi today I was reading on social media now he understands what blunders he was bringing, and it's going to cost his all respect, so he is now leaving this topic and trying to settle things even it's not easy, but hopefully all will be clear, and these dirty media houses need some stick rules even it's not happening because many media houses are controlled by politicians, and they want this all dirt with them.

Not much surprised regarding Shahid Afridi's behavior. He will make up a good politician in the future, as he seems to be an expert in all the political tricks. Anyway, if Imran Khan can become the PM, then what prevents someone like Shahid Afridi or Wasim Akram from trying their luck with politics? But a better option for Shahid Afridi would be to get involved in PCB or the ICC (similar to what Sourav Ganguly has done in India). First let him gain some experience by taking up a position in the PCB. After that he will realize whether politics is suitable for him or not.

Sourav Ganguly does hold a considerable amount of influence in West Bengal. That does not mean he will be joining a politically conscious state. Given the example of former cricket Navjot Sidhu, I do not think a cricketer will have long-term success in politics. There were many cricketers like Kaif, Azhar, and others before or at the time when Sidhu joined politics and who failed. So, I do not think he will joining politics.

Ganguly has a clas and he rightly deserve spot as bcci chief, don't know what he has done for bjp government to earn this spot. But Shahid Afridi also known as Duck Ridi ( because of earning so many ducks) has nothing at his disposal as a player. He is criticising imran Khan since he hasn't offered anything during his regime rather appointed Ramiz as PCB head.

I think Shahid Afridi is a great man even outside of the cricket field and he can be a great politician. To be honest, people need politicians like him because he will always think about his job first instead of thinking about money which almost all the politicians need to do right now Sourav Ganguly does hold a considerable amount of influence in West Bengal. I don't know if he is going to join politics or not but if he does join politics I think a man of his caliber can be successful. but the problem is he is a truthful man and a good human being and for some reason, the world does not like good people right now.

Well no one what Afridi or anyother players think inside but incidents have shown that for players money is preference not national duty. See recent incident where SA players were busy playing IPL while there team losing to Bangladesh at home. Imran Khan was also ex captain and allrounder of Pakistan while Afridi also holds same portfolio in the past.

This is all happening because of yellow journalism and most of the time we can see that a lot of that channel list are not even educated and they really don't know how to talk with people. they need to be educated and one simple thing they should understand is if you give respect you will get respect. Shahid Afridi is a great man even outside the cricket field and the politics right now is just dirty people playing dirty games. I Wonder If a man like Shahid Afridi has a perfect place in politics at this time and era in the world.

Thanks to YouTube channels, now everyone who has mobile phone and Mike in his hand consider himself a journalist. There is no norm for such people and they are mostly making there way to news channels. Shahid Afridi should remain away from politics and continue to do his work as philanthropist. Already he is trolled so much on social media for supporting current government and criticising Imran Khan.
