Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat in the second Test against Sri Lanka. And in the beginning Bangladesh faced batting disaster. They lost 5 important batsmen by 24 runs. The first two batsmen could not collect any runs. I have forgotten when Captain Mominul Haque last played well. He returned to the dressing room with 9 runs today. Shant was collected 8 runs and Shakib could not collect any runs. However, due to the responsible batting of Mushfiqur and Liton, Bangladesh's collection is now 265 runs.

Mushfiqur Rahim scored 114 runs off 244 balls. Liton Das scored 128 runs off 213 balls. At the end of the day, Bangladesh will probably collect 265 runs and will not lose any more wickets.

Bangladesh managed to score 277 runs in 85 overs. Mushfiqur and Liton's partnership was 253 runs. And it's still ongoing. Mushfiqur scored 115 and Liton 135 runs.
If Bangladesh is able to play well in the first session tomorrow, then Bangladesh will collect at least 4300 more. However, in the first session of the day, we saw the weak batting of Bangladesh. My guess is that tomorrow we will see the same situation in Bangladesh. Bangladesh will lose all the wickets in the first session. And their innings will end in 350.

It is impossible to make predictions about the performance of Bangladesh team. Especially when they play at home ground or Mirpur. After losing 5 wickets for 24 runs, we all thought that Bangladesh team would be able to collect 120 runs. But at the end of the day we can see that Bangladesh has collected 277 runs, and they have not lost a single wicket. If the first session tomorrow is under the control of Bangladeshi batsmen, then Bangladesh will be able to make a big collection. However, without Mushfiqur and Liton at the crease, Bangladesh's innings will not be long lasting. There are no more experienced batsmen in the squad.

The problem is we don't like it if a good person joins politics because we think he is just going to end up doing dirty politics. We just don't believe that a good person can have some good effect on politics and maybe something will change in favor of the people. People actually don't want to believe that any respectable people actually can do good and bring good changes by joining politics. I say that has the problem of people's mindset.

I believe Afridi is trying to act like IK, being a bit over confident and speaking truth as if he is very smart.

Mushfiqur and Liton have consistently played well in the Test format. The performance and pairing of these two batsmen in the last few Test series has been excellent. But I would have been happy if Mehdi Miraj was in the Bangladesh squad. He is a great all-rounder. He could have batted better, at the same time Miraj's spin bowling on the Mirpur pitch would have had a very effective effect. I don't know why Bangladesh management did not include Miraj in the squad.

But given the fact that pacers Kasun Rajitha and Asitha Fernando got most of the wickets, I am assuming that the track is slightly favoring pacers this time. I expect Bangladesh to reach a total of 350-400 by today EOD. They need to get Sri Lanka out for less than 250, else this match will also end up as another boring draw. On the positive side, Bangladesh has maintained a run rate of more than 3. That itself is an achievement, compared to what happened during the first match.

Mirpur's pitch is not a batting-friendly pitch. This helps the spinners quite well. 365 runs was not a bad collection. We know this from the irregular performance of Bangladeshi batsmen in the Test format. However, it is a shame that 6 batsmen will return to the dressing room with zero runs. However, if the bowler is able to play well, Bangladesh has a chance to win this match.

These 2 batters should receive tons of praise for this partnership from the cricket fraternity, which is missing unfortunately.

It's never an easy task to build inning when you're 5 wickets down on just 25 runs, doesn't matter if you're playing at home or away.

Day 2 is completed and it looks as if the second test match will also end up as a draw. How does it sound? 10 days of play and still no result. I am glad that I haven't watched a single ball from this series on TV. Saved a lot of time. Anyway, nice to see Shakib Al Hasan getting in to the wickets, although he was not that impressive with the bat. The only positive for Bangladesh from this series is the fact that they have proved the argument of Shakib's one man army wrong. Even without significant contribution from Shakib, the team has put up a good performance.

Musfiqur Rahim unbeaten 175 runs and Liton 141 assists Bangladesh 365 on the score board. Sri Lanka made a solid start and Bangladeshi bowlers only able to take two wickets in the evening session. SL will trail 222 more runs, and they have eight wickets in hands. Karunaratne complete the second day on 70 runs, and most certainly looking centuries in the third day.

I think, 2nd Test match will be also drawn. Srilanka batsman doing very well like 1st test match.They have good start batting also.But Bangladeshi bowlers didn’t take too wicket. If Bangladeshi bowlers can take wicket early in 3rd day then i Think this test match would result different. What do you think,This test match will be a draw or Which team will win?
