We saw same complains previously by India in January, when DRS was manipulated.
Well to be honest DRS can't be manipulated and host broadcaster has no control on DRS system. Independent body, i guess ICC manage all the DRS review.

Dean Elgar did look out to naked eye but you have to trust the technology. So IMO Indian players specially KL, Ashwin, Kohli looked like a bunch of idiots at that time. Particularly KL "" Whole country playing against 11 guys" statement and Kohli screaming at stumps like a child was top notch meme content lol.

Yes in early days BCCI was the one who was not in favour of DRS despite being a country that has huge IT exports. I dont think DRS cant be manipulated by the broadcaster. We saw similar incident in 2011 semi final when Saeed Ajmal decision was over turned by DRS, umpire Ian Gould still firmly stand on his decision of out. Can someone share details of who controls the DRS, is it something patent or every broadcaster has its own DRS system.

In presence of technology things like these surely not acceptable South African doing very poor job in last few months, and it's creating problems for some other countries as well they need to change their mind-set for this all.

With umpires there were few issues also coming out due to their behavior and sledging which is not good they need to play fair games with fair mind-set if they have no first choice players due IPL then surely they can call off this series but doing things like this to win a match and series is surely dirty game by all management they already faced some issues like this in the past.

I was expecting some good resistance from Bangladesh but after checking all details and few videos now feeling bad for Bangladesh players and have no respect for South African cricket and their management.

Sledging is something done by big players like Starc, McGrath of Australia or Steyn of SA, I don't know who current players of SA can do sledging. They should focus on there play rather trying to be over smart as they have already lost ODI series to Bangladesh for the first time in history.
Are there any videos of how umpires turn to game towards SA?

Bongs have every right to file a complaint against umpires but what is this sight screen issue here? Anyway Bangladesh should have back all of these allegation with their performance as well, yeah umpiring was shitty but they also got out cheaply.

Sledging is part of the game, which i enjoy very much but my sympathy is with Bongs. South African team is no saint and they do play dirty at home. I remember Indian team last 3 tours and every tour had some sort of controversy. Indian did lost all the series but every series was very tough for the SA, they even accused that Indian seamers were trying to hurt them physically with their bowling or refused to play because pitch was dangerous etc etc.

South Africa umpiring is once again criticised by touring country. We saw same complains previously by India in January, when DRS was manipulated. Now, Bangladesh Call For Neutral Umpires After South Africa Controversy. I haven't seen the match but something is seriously wrong with SA umpiring and icc  must look into it.

Even with the worst of the worst umpiring by the host team, if your team gets all out at 53, then all the blame goes to the batting team. With the controversial umpiring you can lose the game but your team cannot get all out at 53. I would say that Bangladesh should stop making excuses for bad umpiring but be ashamed of their very poor batting performance recently.

Umpires are also humans and sometimes they make mistakes. But that doesn't mean that Bangladesh was at the receiving end everytime. I can also list a number of occasions, when they benefitted from these mistakes. All this drama is a diversionary tactic to take attention away from their batting failure. Can you imagine this? 10 of their batsmen got out for 53 runs. And who took the wickets? Two spinners - Keshav Maharaj and Simon Harmer. For heaven's sake Harmer was not even considered for selection for a long time, because he decided to go Kolpak a few years ago.

I am not surprised to see Bangladesh getting out on 53, they are completely capable of doing this blunder. If umpiring is the issue then how they won ODI series? Everything is fine when you win and you blame umpires when you lost. There were two lbw and one caught behind where you can say umpires can do some manipulations rest are all fair dismissal including clean bowled or caught at slips.

Listen, just like the Bangladesh team can not make any excuses because of them getting all out for only 53 runs, ICC  and the whole world can not also avoid the fact that the umpiring in that match was absolutely horrible.

It was really amazing and unbelievable to see that a match was being officiated in such a way. and let me tell you this if the umpiring was not like this, Bangladesh would not have got out for only 53 runs. I am not saying that they would have won the match but the results are obviously could have been different.

LOL.. to be honest, it is pretty stupid to complain about a technology that is as advanced as the DRS. And the less said about the BCCI, that better. They are always late to implement technological innovations. When the DRS was first introduced, all the boards except the BCCI approved it. The opposition from the BCCI meant that it was implemented much later in international matches. And similar technologies are being used in other sports (VAR in football for example) and no one is stupid enough to blame the technology for their defeat.
Yeah, stupid and not going to lie, it was also way too funny. Imagine you playing your last test series as Captain and future generation is going to remember that last series with "screaming at stumps" iconic pic. Cheesy

That time uncle types people were in the charge of the BCCI and Old guard overall hate everything which they don't understand, just for an example see recent crypto tax fuckery in India.

King Kohli..  Grin

Actually, I do understand the emotions of Virat Kohli. Smiley

Nah, I am just kidding Cheesy. That shit was really funny. and this is going to be a memorable thing For a long time in my opinion.

We all know that technology can have flaws but I mean ok a senior player cannot be stupid enough to just go ahead and talk into the stump's mic.

In all seriousness, I think that's where captains like MS Dhoni were far superior to any other captains. He kept his cool in a lot of bad situations.

We're approaching the SAvBAN second test, which takes place from April 8th to 12th. Taskin and Shoriful, Bangladesh's two key pace bowlers, will both miss the second Test against SA. Let's hope they recover well from the dreadful performance in the first Test. Even though the first test was marred by controversial umpiring, we cannot deny that Bangladesh batsmen should also take responsibility for their unhealthy wickets given away to South African bowlers.

You made an interesting observation.

Yeah, DRS technology can have it's fair amount of flows but when people says that it's manipulated by home broadcaster or someone else (Like Virat and co subly indicated in that test), then its become stupid and if they keep pushing this idea then it's ridiculous. Luckily for Indian team it was former case, kind of brain fade moment in heat of the moment only.

As Bangladesh lost their first test now I am feeling it's all end for them because there was good chance for them to have some good result which can give them good confidence and positive approach for this second test but just 53 is surely not acceptable from them in chase of 274 runs even umpiring was also big concern for them too many decisions against them, and they were surely feeling not good in this all situation.

Now with their few players are going back to home with injuries and South African already won their first match having not good impact on them, and they can lose this match as well. They lost their momentum which was good for them after winning historic ODI series win and South African which were playing without their many key players due to IPL duty was good chance which they already lost.

snip-
You made an interesting observation.

Obviously, The DRS Technology can also have flaws and that is the only reason umpires call exists in cricket.

As far as I know, the rules say that the Technology cannot be 100% accurate all the time so the umpires' call will have certain importance on the decision of the DRS system.
And after all these years it is actually really funny and dumb to see the Indian players doing something like that. Cheesy

More funny thing is that no one taking notice of this and no disciplinary action has been taken against Indian players. Had this done by player of weak board like Pakistan or  SL, the player would be immediately suspended.
The second test will begin in a while and the way this tour is going nothing can be said about the outcome of the match.

I have already stated this. Umpiring errors are unintentional and doesn't always target one particular team. Bangladesh performed horribly against South Africa and it is not proper to put the blame on the umpires. For heaven's sake these guys got blasted out for just 53 runs on board. And it was a couple of spinners who did that. Bangladesh prepared dustbowls for their recent home matches, so that they can use the spinners to their advantage. The tracks in South Africa were far more decent compared to what they had prepared in Dhaka and Chattogram against West Indies.

Not a big fan of Umpire's call tbh. IMO when someone taking a DRS review for LBW and if ball clipping the wickets then it should be out, not umpire's call-Not out. You don't say it's not out or missing the leg-off-top of stump when ball barely kisses the stump and bails fall of the wickets.

More funny thing is that no one taking notice of this and no disciplinary action has been taken against Indian players. Had this done by player of weak board like Pakistan or  SL, the player would be immediately suspended.

They didn't get penalty because Umpire Erasmus also showed his dissatisfaction and shock with the DRS replay and said "That is impossible". Indians and on field Umpire commented on DRS tech not any individual or player.

Although Virat did lash out on Broadcaster "talking to stump mic" but it was related to SandPaper scandal. They were only following Indian fielders, which is absolutely right but they didn't follow Protea's fielders much when India was batting, that's why Virat said “Focus on your team as well when they shine the ball, eh! Not just the opposition. Trying to catch people all the time.”

South Africa      VS      Bangladesh

Bangladesh is now playing its second Test match against South Africa. So far South Africa has collected 133 runs. And they lost just one wicket. Elger is unbeaten on 70 and Peterson is unbeaten on 38. And since Bangladesh is very weak in Test format. So my guess is that Bangladesh will lose the second Test as usual. And the way South Africa is batting now, they can easily collect more than 350 in the first innings.

South Africa lost their second wicket by 133 runs. Dean Elgar returned to the dressing room with 60 runs. South Africa collected 158 runs and lost only two wickets. The South African players are batting very responsibly. Besides, the bowling of Bangladeshi bowlers does not look good. I do not see any experienced bowler on the team. And if they can't take a few more wickets, South Africa will easily collect more than 300 runs at the end of the first day.

South Africa are in strong position of the match after 80 overs, they have scored 260/3. Just 10 overs left of the day and they can easily cross 300 runs. Not much impressive performance from Bangladeshi bowlers as they have only picked 3 wickets till now. Odds are definitely in favour of SA at the moment.
