The Zimbabwean team is going to face another defeat.

We are used to seeing them lose matches. But did you see the last game? The way they batted in the first innings of the first match, they could have won the last match against west indies. Craig Ervine is the most experienced player on their team. Innocent Kaia is not the only player who has the ability to bat well. Gary Ballance scored an unbeaten 137. Even No nine batter Brandon Mavuta scored an unbelievable 56 runs from 132 balls. The game has already stopped due to rain. I guess it's helping Zimbabwe's side.

So it was due to rain. I was wondering why West indies were 290 on day 2, there overnight score was 135. Still Zimbabwe is in trouble as West Indies have lead of 175 runs with 2 wickets and 3 days play left. Zimbabwe batting performance was impressive only in first innings of first test (as you mentioned) the subsequent 2 innings showed a complete failure of Zimbabwe batting lineup.
Zimbabwe will be in much better position in this test if they have scored around 225 or 250. It will be tough for Zimbabwe to save this match from here.

West Indies were able to collect 290 runs by losing 8 wickets. Since the descent of 175 has already managed to take a lead West Indies. It looks like they will get an easy win in this match. The main reason for this is that Zimbabwe's batsmen are not playing well now. There is no experienced batsman in the team. So I think it is unlikely that Zimbabwe will score 200 runs in the second innings. My guess is if West Indies manage to take a lead of 220 runs, they will be able to beat Zimbabwe by innings.

The second test between West Indies and Zimbabwe is underway, and it's lunch now. It's not a good start for Zimbabwe, who chose to bat after winning the toss. Five wickets have gone down, and the score is just 70. Seems like Zimbabwe will finish there first innings around 150 as Craig Ervine is the only recognized batsmen left.

Look like Zimbabwe will lose the second and last test match of this test series, they choose to bat first but they didn't score a lot in order to put pressure on westindies batter during chase, the highest runs from entire Zimbabwe batting lineup is 38 which has been scored by I.Kaia while two other batter score just 22, 23 , this is so shameful performance from them but I think we can expect such kind of bad performances from such kind of small teams, they just score 115 in 40 overs, while on the other hand westindies lose his four wicket in 37th over but thier batter already done Thier job before dismissal. I did not think that Zimbabwe would perform as badly in the second match as in the first match. The batsmen needed to bat more responsibly in this match. Their performance today was worse than the first match. They lost all the wickets to collect only 115 runs. Innocent Kaia scored the highest 38 runs for the team. West Indies scored 133 runs and lost 4 wickets. I guess West Indies will collect atleast 250. And it doesn't look like Zimbabwe will be able to score 200 runs in the second innings. The condition of their batsmen is very weak now.

Zimbabwe isn't performing good. By the end of day 1 West Indies leads by 18 runs and 6 wickets left. Match gonna end by the third day. Zimbabwe should've made atleast 250 runs. I don't find anything bad with the batting line-up. With the players they can easily reach 250+ runs. Upto Tsiga it have batting order and if they weren't able to perform as test match, atleast they could've gone for some big shots. An easier series win for West Indies.

It is not only in batting that we see Zimbabwe's weakness. The performance of the bowlers is also not very good. West Indies players managed to collect 290 runs. West Indies batsmen Raymond, Roston and Joshua batted well. West Indies are likely to lose all their wickets in the first session tomorrow. And will lead by around 190-200 runs. And as Zimbabwe have shown performance in the first innings, if they bat like this, they will not be able to collect 200 runs. However, like the first match, the second Test match is going to be completely one-sided.

West Indies already have a lead of 175 runs, and there is a good chance that they may not be required to bat again. Zimbabwe once again proved that they are competitive only when Sikandar Raza is in the team. But he is participating in the PSL, so can't rescue them this time around (BTW he played his last test match for Zimbabwe almost 2 years ago). My advice to Zimbabwe would be to restrict themselves in test format against teams such as Ireland. If they play against the tier-1 test nations, due to the gap in player skills the matches will turn out to be too much one-sided.

So far this series has served it's purpose to improve the personal stats of some of the players. Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Gudakesh Motie would be happy about what they have achieved so far. But the ICC needs to take in to account these mismatches. They need to decide whether Zimbabwe should be allowed to play in test format, against tier-1 countries.

Most chances we will have this test match ended today or tomorrow early which could be good for them because now West Indies is in complete control, and they will not allow home team Zimbabwe to have anything good while their batting is struggling but good thing happening for the West Indies as now they are having few youngsters which can give them better results in test format even now I have feeling few countries need to change their strategy and stop playing test and ODI with having only T20i teams will be also beneficial for them because with these teams can improve their quality, and they also can do good domestic set up for this set up with West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan these all are just wasting their time and energy for the two formats with good results can achieve with just work on one format.

Unless there is rain, the match may get completed by today itself. Zimbabwe are struggling at 15/2, and need another 162 runs to avoid innings defeat. And 64 overs remain in today's play, which should be enough for the West Indian bowlers to take the remaining 8 wickets. Craig Ervine maybe able to delay the inevitable for a while, but their playing XI doesn't have any other experienced batsmen. Even if rain interruption occurs today, two more days remain and I don't really think that Zimbabwe can save this match. And there are hardly any positives for them to take away from this series as a whole.

The result of the first test match was a draw, I thought maybe Zimbabwe would be able to maintain the consistency of their performance in the second test but the opposite happened. Except innocent Kaia, no one could show good performance in this test. Zimbabwe almost lost in the second Test.  115 runs in the first innings in the second innings so far 7 wickets have fallen for 137 runs. Zimbabwe are trailing by 40 runs so far. Team captain Craig Ervine remained unbeaten with a top score of 57 runs. But his wicket was the only one to avoid an innings defeat. It goes without saying that Zimbabwe will surely lose the second Test.

I think only one player is not responsible for team victory, all starting XI will perform inorder to win any series or match, but this thing is not happening in Zimbabwe squad because they didn't get any lesson after defeat from westindies team in first test matches of this series and again lose this second test match of this series from westindies by 4 runs and an inning and also lose this series too by 2-0, I think Zimbabwe should give chance to new young player who can make difference in match result for his national team.

Zimbabwe is extremely weak in test format rather than t20 or ODIs, their performances are below average in recent deriss with west indies. 
In 2nd Test Zimbabwe lost from an innings and 7 runs , Craig Ervine scored 72 runs and innocent kaia a ored 42 runs that's all ,other than that no player did anything in this series.

I wonder why Zimbabwe always want to play test cricket against the tier-1 test nations. Nothing is wrong in that, but from what we have seen, they are unable to compete in a meaningful manner. And at the same time, they have this aversion for the associate members. When was the last time that they played against some of their neighbors, such as Namibia, Kenya and Uganda? Even at this point, I am sure that Namibia will be able to defeat Zimbabwe in cricket (in any of the formats). But then Zimbabwe refuses to play against these countries and therefore we never know.
