Test cricket is a game of mouse and cat.

When you think you are getting top of the opposition, something exciting happens. India took 2 early wickets and the Indians were on top, then Smith-Clone Marnus happened and Aussie were back in the game. Exactly after that, Sir Jadeja showed his class and at the same period of time a nice cameo from Handscomb and Carrey. Their inning is still not finished so India must look to quick wrap up under 200 as they are batting last and it won't be a cakewalk.

We couldn't t ask for a better start to BGT. I hope we'll see a same fight between Indian batters and Australian bowlers.

Days back the pitch being made in favour of Indian spin bowling is into discussion. To make that true, today most wickets were to the spinners. Other than Cummins wicket, every wicket have fallen on Lbw, bowled out and stumping. Ashwin who hadn't got wickets have finally took the wickets of Cummins and Alex Carey. The match at the tea break, 174/8 and there is more chances of innings end within 200 runs. As said in the previous post, same struggle can be seen with the innings of India.

If the match had not been delayed due to rain, Zimbabwe would have definitely lost this match. Because the two openers of West Indies batted brilliantly in the first innings. The Zimbabwean squad is inexperienced. And so they were far behind the West Indies players both in terms of batting and bowling. However, they are happy that Zimbabwe managed to draw this match. This is a very good result for Zimbabwe. But in the next match I will definitely expect West Indies to win. They are in pretty good form now.

Zimbabwe had a decent total in there first innings but second innings was totally inverse. West Indies have an opening partnership of 337 runs in first innings. I would say both teams have played well in first innings but in second innings it was West indies who was on top. Zimbabwe is playing test series after a long period so we need them some time to adjust in this format. West Indies definitely is better side then Zimbabwe in test.

West Indies team is far ahead from Zimbabwe in every format of cricket like Test, ODI and T20. They also have more experience in test cricket as well. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, have only qualified for the Tests, so they need a long time to improve their position in the Test cricket. Zimbabwe is now ranked as the 10th position of 10 test cricket teams. The first test match between Zimbabwe vs West Indies ended by a drawn.

Of course, Zimbabwe was going to lose if the match would have been played properly without the rain interruption. And the thing is personally, do not think there is too much skill difference between the Zimbabwean players and West Indies players. But still, the first innings of Zimbabwe was quite decent. But if we look at the performance of Zimbabwe in the second innings we will be able to see that there was not much hope for them. And Zimbabwe was about to lose the test match. They are actually very lucky to be able to draw.

Now I think Zimbabwe has a really good chance of winning the test series if they can win the second test match. Because it is a 2 match series. But I honestly do not think they will be able to.

Terrific start by team India which got spoiled by KL Rahul. He has consistently proven that he is a worthless piece of shit. Niether he wants to be a keeper nor can he be an agressive batter and today he proved in the second last over of the day that he has forgotten how to play defensive. I still cannot understand why he gets selected.

All he had to do was to either rotate the strike or stick to the wicket till the end of the day. He should know that there are much better batters who can replace him.

I also don't understand the logic behind sending Ashwin now. He is a batter who has always proved himself down the order. India needs batter like him when middle order suddenly collapsed down the order.

Sending Ashwin is not a bad idea. He could play a pinch hitter role and gets quick 30-ish runs and if this happens then our middle order would look good as this match progress in the first inning. He could also try to play long inning as he has 5 tons under his belt.  

Let's hope no collapse tomorrow and a long day for Aussies.

It's always been the inability of Australia to play spin bowlers that has led to their downfall. Following Australia's 177-run innings, India is 100 runs behind. Ashwin has 5 centuries in test cricket so I would not think of him as a night watchman. As Rohit has shown his aggression on day one I believe Ashwin was sent to rotate the strike which Rahul was struggling to do.

A remarkable comeback by Jadu and a big day for Ashwin. Ashwin became the second Indian after Anil Kumble to clinch 450 wickets in Test Cricket. Jadu took all the crucial wickets today namely Labuschagne, Steven Smith, Matt Renshaw, Handscomb, and Murphy. The top two test-ranking batters are on that list. What an accomplishment for Jadu today.

Axar Patel was portrayed as a replacement for Jadu but it seems he is still not ready and this guy has a lot of cricket left in him.

Literally Bro such stubborn attitude of KL Rahul proves him he is nothing but a shit. Did you see his face when he got out? He couldn't believe that he played that shot! I wouldn't say that he got tricked by the bowler! It is just that he was avoiding such a trick by being attentive.

 What he did was taking the last over casually. He think himself as an established cricketer for India. He is the exact example of a middle class guy who got a brilliant opportunity after getting into the rich class. Thanks to his marriage to one of the richest family of Mumbai.

How can you be so lazy when you are not in the form? He simply layed down his guard as he was still over confident. 

He started having that casual attitude when he started rotating his strike. I was angry when Kholi was not performing but I was happy that his defensive & will do attitude got him through. Such an attitude was a positive sign for his team mate and helped him regain the respect of his team mates. They also started believing in him and on a big day he got his form back.
