New Zealand's batting in the second innings is surprising everyone. I was surprised to see the scoreboard. New Zealand collected 440 runs losing 5 wickets. After scoring only 209 runs in the first innings, it was unexpected that New Zealand would bat so well in the second innings. Kane Williamson is still at the crease with 123 runs. Bludell's collection is 69 runs. Now it seems that getting up to 550 will not be a difficult task for New Zealand. But the match is more likely to be a draw now.

After poor batting in first inning and having follow-on New Zealand done extraordinary batting in second inning and all top order batsmen give their best for having better result in this match which was good specially from veteran Kane Williamson who play extraordinary inning and now most premier batsman in Kiwi history which is also big achievement for him, but now situation in this match still not good for them because England is in commanding position and can win this match because now they need 210 runs with 9 wickets in hand, and we have all day's play even batting on last day is never been easy but still England is good and have chance to win this match after good performance in first inning by their batsmen and then bowlers.

With the performance like this, look like England is going to lead this test format in near future because they are changing the game with their aggressive style and things can go in their way for the next round of WTC which is going to start after the final of second championship in June.

New Zealand has improved a lot in the second innings. They did very well to actually give England a decent target. I will not say that this target is going to be enough for sure. But this certainly gives New Zealand a chance. And with the fall of the first wicket of England, New Zealand will fail more confident about winning this test match.

But of course, England is not going to let this go so easily. England is going to try to survive the first session of the next day and not give away many wickets in the first session. But from the second session England is going to accelerate.

No matter what anyone else says, are a very good chance to win this test match. 9 wickets and 98 overs left for only 210 runs, which is very much achievable.

Really it needs to be a comeback match for New Zealand.

England only needs 48 runs in 49 overs. I am expecting a complete whitewash by the England team but fear that this might not happen as England does not have a lot of wickets on hand. Still an absolutely stunning performance by the English team in this series. Good comeback by the Kiwis!

The third test match between India and Australia will be played tomorrow. I assume KL Rahul will be replaced by Shubhman Gill as Rahul was recently removed from vice-captain responsibility. Steve Smith is the new captain of the Australian side. It would be interesting to see what changes he would incorporate to defeat the Indian team in the next match.

The problem with England is that they have a bunch of tail-end batsmen to come next - Jack Leach and James Anderson.

It doesn't look like New Zealand will win. England needs only 15 runs to win. England collected 243 runs after losing 8 wickets. Ben Foakes is at the crease with 28 runs.
New Zealand impressed everyone with their second innings performance. It was unimaginable that New Zealand would collect 483 runs in the second innings. Every New Zealand batsman tried to perform well. But if they had given a target of more than 300 then there was a chance of victory. Even so, the match turned out to be very competitive. Now if New Zealand can pick up the wicket of Ben Foakes they still have a chance to win.

Sad to see that, England only now needs 10 runs to win. I must say New Zealand tried their best. But sometimes luck and game conditions doesn’t favours you. If the New Zealand team managed to get Joe Root’s wicket early, then the situation would have been completely different. This guy single handly played for the team and scored good amount of runs. Sad to see that England remain undefeated in the series and New Zealand, despite of their hardwork and efforts, didn’t get any advantage. Now we all are waiting for the India vs Australia 3rd test which gonna start from 1st of March, let’s see if Australia can make a comeback or not.

Man in form Foakes is out. What a blow to England! Southee takes the crucial wicket. Only 7 runs are needed to win but England has only one wicket left. The last hour of this match has been more exciting than the full day. The game is evenly poised and the team that has the nerve will win this match. What an amazing test match! I was watching the match live on Amazon PrimeVideo, and I can confidently say that this is one of the greatest evet test match finishes that I managed to watch live. New Zealand won by just 1 run, as James Anderson got out to a spectacular delivery from Neil Wagner. Feels bad for the England lower order batsmen, who worked so hard to inch closer to the target - especially Ben Foakes, Stuart Broad and Jack Leach. James Anderson also tried his best, but today was not his day. Leach did a fantastic job, by surviving for 31 balls. But in the end, he ended up in the losing team.
 
BTW, there was some technical snag with PrimeVideo in between, and it lasted for 2-3 minutes (just before Ben Foakes got out).

I didn't think that a Test match could be so competitive. New Zealand won by 1 run. It was unexpected that New Zealand would make such a remarkable comeback to win the match. New Zealand players have done it.

New Zealand's collection in the first innings was only 209 runs. They were 226 runs behind England. But the New Zealand batsmen did not make any mistakes in the second innings. And they collected 483 runs. And they set England a target of 257 runs.

England's batsman could not play better than Joe Root. After scoring 186 runs in the first innings, Harry Brooks failed to score any runs in the second innings. England could have won the match if Harry Brooks could have scored some runs.

Anyway, congratulations to the New Zealand team. They showed an excellent performance in the second innings.

I just checked score this morning and for my surprise Newzealand has won the match. What a come back by Newzealand in there follow on innings. Must have been a 3 match series as now the series ended in a draw. There are not many matches in which a side having follow on fought back and won the match. England was unlucky to lose the match by just one run. You are lucky to watch such interesting match live.

Wow. Woke up sometime earlier and was blown away to find out that England actually lost by a single freaking run. What the heck! New Zealand got the perfect revenge after that messed up ODI World Cup final.

England declared their innings because they thought that the pitch offered a lot of support to the bowlers. And they were right. They had a huge lead of more than 200 runs and they had forced New Zealand to follow on. And it turned out to be one of those extremely rare occasions, when the team following on ended up on the winning side. What would have happened if England had decided against declaring? They would have added at least 10-15 extra runs? I know that Leach and Anderson are genuine tail-end batsmen, but still they could have stayed for 4-5 overs.

A wonderful 2nd innings by Newzealand they scored 483 runs which is really good as they failed terribly in 1st innings.  Kane Williamson 132 runs Tom Blundell 90 runs were really worth mentioning in today's game.
Now England have a trail of 210 runs and they have last day with 9 wickets in hand . This match got interesting now see who'll win this test tomorrow.

No one believes that after defeat in first test and bad performance in first inning of 2nd test they will comback and get the match. But they did it because they got lesson from his bad performances and after follow on they perform huge About whom they are known. They score total of 483 where Conway and Latham add 61, 83 to the total and after that Williamson , Mitchel and blundell add 132, 54 , 90 and trail england by 210. While on the other hand due to sunsational bowling from kiwi too only J.root score around 90 rather than him no one perform as a result luckily they win the second test by just one runs and level the series with 1-1
