I think cricket has to be fixed from the ground up. Because I do not understand, when everything is moving towards the shorter formats of cricket why most of the domestic cricket is being played in the test format?

ICC will stop their funding if cricketing nations stop playing FC cricket at the Junior level, U-19 etc.

Really unfortunate that Sarfraz Khan is not getting any calls. Fighting for a middle-order slot looks really tough to me. Having said that he should be in the squad in place SKY.

Shreyas Iyer already proved himself at number 5
6th slot is for WK batter (Bharat or Kishan)
7, 8,9 are for Jadeja, Ashwin and Axar respectively. If Jadeja is not fit then Kuldeep will take the spin slot and will bat at 9.
10 and 11 are for seamers

Rohit is fixed as an opener. KL Rahul is VC so he can't be dropped from the team at least for the first 2 matches. Gill is 3rd opener in the squad so it's hard for Yashasvi to get in.

Surely this is big concern and not only in India this is happening in few other countries as well they are bringing players those have no good record in domestic and better players are not able to have their chances which is surely issue but no one can do anything about this all about India we have few positive things like now recently domestic leagues are improving in quality and performance which is good sign and with this pool is also very big which is creating headache for the selectors because they have to decide about only 15 to 20 players and it's not easy job for them to have things like these so just because of this many complaints and other mess up are also rising recently.

But hopefully things could be settled, and we will be able to have better fair system in near future which will end this all, and we will be able to have quality players in all formats from these domestic leagues.

Because that position of players is created by being in the national team and he is paid a fixed salary to perform his duties.

Those who are true cricket lovers must give importance to Test cricket. But the big hurdle here is time. To enjoy a Test match you have to put your work aside. Besides, this cricket has become more difficult due to the fact that it lasts for a few days. Since time is a major constraint, it is clear to everyone that the outlook for this cricket is not good. Besides, there is no interest in this cricket anywhere except a few countries.

Why Test Cricket is Important for ICC?

ICC would not let test cricket diminish as it does make a good amount of money when Australia and England play against each other. Those two are the only nation where test cricket still gets a good amount of online, offline and ground viewership. The Indian subcontinent is more into T20 & ODI as we love the excitement and close ending. As the maximum viewership comes from India the ICC does not al ot a test bilateral series. Still, these countries have to play bilaterally in order to qualify for the test world cup.

Why is India VS Pakistan important for ICC?

I agree ICC makes huge revenue when these two teams play against each other. That being said ICC cannot make them play more than two games in a tournament. Asia cup is not an ICC event it is an event of the Asia cricket council which is independent of ICC but falls under its jurisdiction. The current chairman is Jay Shah who is an Indian and if he has said that India won't go to Pakistan then it will not. The match between these two sides will happen in a neutral venue, most probably UAE.

It will never happen as India does not care about Pakistan cricket. India also does not want to play with Pakistan as India does not need revenue from those matches. BCCI is in a stronger position as India is now and might remain the biggest cricketing nation.
