What has suddenly happened to this English side A complete dominace by them in this series. The way the English bowlers bowled was unexpected. Except Robinson everyone else contributed. Board took 4 wickets, both Anderson and Leach took 3 wickets each. I feel that the English might win this match too. Hard luck for Brooks I was expecting a double century from him in this match.

In the first innings, England's bowlers showed a good performance, but in the second innings, they are not able to do well. New Zealand batsmen are playing very well. And now the collection of New Zealand players is 177 runs. They lost 3 wickets. The two openers Tom Latham and Devon Conway scored 83 and 61 runs respectively. It is highly unlikely that New Zealand will win the match. New Zealand is still trailing by 49 runs. England are more likely to win unless a miracle happens. It was predicted to be an innings loss for New Zealand. The second innings performance is quite good from New Zealand, Williamson and Nicholls on the crease will let the New Zealand team set atleast 150 runs of target. Based on the first innings, the match could've ended by the third day. With the better second innings the third day have ended good for New Zealand. Though this is going to be a loss for New Zealand, the avoided to experience the worst loss.

New Zealand team is going with too tough time now days, because they try hard but luck didn't help them and due to that reason they lost too much matches in the presence of Thier class player, they play really bad against england in first test and now in second test too but I got shocked to see that new Zealand score 202 while only 3 player of them are down after follow on in second/third inning. I think such kind of performance which Latham and Conway did really need to Carry on for new Zealand team to camback to his form.
No doubt they will lose this test too but getting back into form of Thier class player will help them in series against Pakistan

Thats wrong, luck have nothing to do with the performance of the players. The players haven't performed well and the same have made them loss matches. In its previous test matches it lost two matches against India and had a draw. Against Pakistan Kiwis draw two matches. So, they aren't that bad. In this series they're underperforming. Hope they'll make a comeback at the earliest.

After poor batting in first inning and having follow-on New Zealand done extraordinary batting in second inning and all top order batsmen give their best for having better result in this match which was good specially from veteran Kane Williamson who play extraordinary inning and now most premier batsman in Kiwi history which is also big achievement for him, but now situation in this match still not good for them because England is in commanding position and can win this match because now they need 210 runs with 9 wickets in hand, and we have all day's play even batting on last day is never been easy but still England is good and have chance to win this match after good performance in first inning by their batsmen and then bowlers.

With the performance like this, look like England is going to lead this test format in near future because they are changing the game with their aggressive style and things can go in their way for the next round of WTC which is going to start after the final of second championship in June.

Basin Reserve is a batting track with mostly New Zealand won their matches against weaker sides, but mostly they lost against quality teams with this I have feeling now this is going to be in favor of England even we can't predict about fifth day play because many times small targets can also be gone in wrong way but with the current batting quality and match situation is clearly favoring England to win this match and series by 2 - 0 now they still need 210 runs with 9 wickets in hands and their all premier batsmen still available for the batting against quality New Zealand bowling attack, but this is going to be interesting end of this match and series Williamson Latham and Tom Blundell all have good practice before Sri Lanka test matches which are not going to play in next few days.
