All the hard work put in by Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith was wasted by the other batsmen. And I don't think that India will collapse like what happened with them in the first innings.

With the stable performance and no wicket loss during the starting overs I expected this to be good for Australia to score atleast 250+ runs. Today Ashwin have took over the match and Umesh Yadav gave an unexpected surprise. In the second innings India needs to play very carefully. Even now we can't predict the outcome. The match can turn to any direction.

Jadeja, Ashwin, and Yadav's brilliant bowling saw Australia's batting line-up collapse quickly. Australia's last 5 batsmen's collection was only 9 runs. Australia managed to take a lead of only 88 runs. Jadeja managed to pick up 4 wickets, and both Ashwin and Yadav 3 wickets each. The interesting thing is that Jadeja bowled 32 overs out of 74 overs.

If India wants to win the match, the top-order batsmen must play well. But the Indian team lost the wicket of Shubhman Gill at the beginning of the innings. He returned to Sajghar after collecting only 5 runs. India collected 17 runs with the loss of 1 wicket.

Shubhman Gill out for just 5 runs. I was hopeful that he would try and stay on the wicket till the end of day 2. Not much run to chase but the top Indian batting order need to hold onto the wicket and form a partnership if they want to give a good lead to Australia. A lead of 150 runs would be excellent for India. At the moment the situation on the ground doesn't look that easy to chase 70 runs.

India just lost Shubman Gill. They have made 17/1 so far and are trailing by 71 runs at this point. In order to get to a comfortable position, they need a lead of approximately 150 runs. And for that, they need a total of 230-240. I don't have much expectation from the top order, therefore the triad of Axar-Ashwin-Jadeja needs to do the heavy-lifting this time as well, IMO. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rohit Sharma at the crease right now. LOL.. and I don't have high expectations from either of them. Nathan Lyon and Matthew Kuhnemann are bowling with such a tight line, and I have a feeling that the next wicket is not far away.

As expected day 2 went totally opposite of day 1 for Australia, they ended day 1 on 146 runs and then today all their batting order got out on almost no runs .
This is going g to be an thrilling test as pitch is really unexpected for batsmen.

The way South Africa started their innings, I thought they would declare an inning after 500-plus. But apart from the two openers, I have not seen a better performance from any batsman. Opener Dean Egar scored 71 runs and Marakram's collection was 115 runs. After losing 8 wickets at the end of the first day, South Africa collected only 314 runs. It was not enough to beat the West Indies. The match looks more likely to be a draw now. If South Africa's middle order had batted with some responsibility, they could have won this match.

South Africa lost first wicket at 141, second on 221, and after that, wikcets keep on falling. I would say 314 is still good enough to get lead against West Indies though SA still have 2 wickets left. The match will end in a draw or we have a result is mostly dependent on how West Indies play in there first innings. West Indies have a good come back in bowling as they have got 8 wickets on day 1, same is required in batting.

It will not be difficult to collect big on this pitch if you bat carefully. Bassett Indies managed to collect 71 runs in 20 overs. I guess they will be able to collect more than 300 in the first innings.

On the other hand, India's batting disaster happened in the match between India and Australia. India lost all wickets for just 109 runs. And Australian team lost only 2 wickets to collect 111 runs. India is in crisis. If Australia's batsmen can bat responsibly, they are sure to win.

Even now South Africa is at the safe zone, because West Indies doesn't have the stable players who contributes. West Indies have lost two wickets for 70 runs. Possibly they'll reach 200-250 runs. The 100 runs difference will be the match decider. I find South Africa on the advantageous part.

South Africa still have lead of 179 runs and 6 wickets in hand they have 3 days and still 2nd innings is on so this test is going in favour of South Africa although they have already lost 4 wickets.
Now rest of the batsmen have to bat sensibly to bring lead to a strong point to defeat West Indies.

If he was here then his quickfire 50 could've saved India or give some breather to other batters and the kid knows how to smack spinners and especially Bald ones like Leach, Lyon.

Iyer did try to do it but was not successful. The wickets are falling like Domino's. What they need now is someone who can support Pujara till the end of day 2. Now West Indies need to reach the target of 247 runs to win the match.

In the other match on the second day Australia have ended its first innings and India is at 141/7 with Pujara and Axar Patel on the crease. Possibly India will score a maximum of 200 runs. If that happens India will be leading around 120 runs and the same will be reached by Australia by the first session of day 3.

Australia played very well against India on the test match India was 88 runs behind Australia in the first day's game.  And on the 2nd day too, India did not play very well. India scored only 163 runs on the 2nd day.  And now Australia is just 75 runs behind India where Australia has not started the second day yet so I think just 75 runs won't be difficult for Australia to score.  So of course the chances of Australia winning this test match are very high. India is going to lose to Australia in this case let's see what happens in the end of the game

30 wikcets in just 2 days and that too mostly taken by spinners. I just saw the highlights and noticed that spinners are getting wickets because the ball is keeping itself low means there is not much bounce in the pitch.
Australia needs 75 runs to win the game, and we still have three days of play left behind. Poor batting in all three innings so far. The pitch must be made in a way that it has some respect for batsmen.

Only 75 runs lead LOL! What was the Indian team thinking? Just thinking about Virat's PR team after constant failure in the BGT, he still is still part of playing 11 whereas KL Rahul was stripped from his vice captainship and is out of the test team. Okay! I remember he did score a ton against Bangladesh in Bangladesh. When will start scoring on home grounds? This test match either would have nail bitting finish tomorrow or will be completely dominated by the Australian side. Another match in the BGT that ends on the 3rd day.

Edit: Forgot to mention the star bowler Umesh Yadav. He took 3 wickets in just 5 overs on a pitch that supports spinners and not pacers. Why is no one talking about him on this thread?
