At the moment the Kiwi batter has scored 87 runs and has not lost any wickets. Devon Convoy is looking pretty aggressive. He has already scored his half-century with a strike rate of more than 70. If he continues to play in the same manner then I assume he will score his century before the end of day 1.

After the good knock from Devon Conway, Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls are now trying to steady the ship. IMO, New Zealand should get to somewhere around 400, to be in a comfortable position. And their bowling remains very weak.  During the first test, two of the bowlers failed completely (Blair Tickner and Neil Wagner) and therefore a lot of the burden fell on the shoulders of Tim Southee and Matt Henry. This time also, Blair Tickner is included in the squad.

This test seems like to end in a draw as day 1 was wasted , day 2 interrupted by bad weather and lighting , by end of day 2 Newzealand scored 155 runs and their main person is still on crease kane Williamson so tomorrow will decide about how this match will go.

Furthermore if the match resumes then I feel that Srilankan spinners will have the advantage, and we could see New Zealand crumble under 250 - 300 runs which could give hope to the Srilanka player’s that they can win this match.

How can you say that Sri Lankan spinners have the advantage, when they failed to pick up the wickets? So far the Lankan bowlers got just two wickets after 48 overs, and one of that was taken by Kasun Rajitha. The wicket of Devon Conway fell to Dhananjaya de Silva. In all probability the match will end up as a draw, unless the Kiwis bowl out Sri Lankans cheaply and force them to follow on. But given the state of play so far, I don't think that there is a chance that Sri Lanka will be able to win this match. Either it is a draw, or win for New Zealand.

New Zealand fought hard to win the last match and Sri Lanka gave them a good battle till the final overs of the match and i was expecting the same match up for the second Test but New Zealand is building a good partnership with Kane Williamson scoring a century and Henry Nicholls could possibly score a century with the way he is batting and the match depends upon how Sri Lanka will bat as it seems like the match would end up in a draw as the pitch is not offering any assistance to the bowlers.

Tremendous batting by Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls both scored double centuries,  day 2 Newzealand performed good with batting.  Now Sirlanka is batting and they have already lost 2 wickets and its a big trail for them so this match seems to be more in Newzealand favour.

But the performance of New Zealand batsmen in the second match surprised me. They played great. Henry Nicholls remained unbeaten on 200 and Williamson scored 215. New Zealand's collection was 580 runs with the loss of only 4 wickets. On the other hand, Sri Lanka did not get off to a good start. At the end of the second day, Sri Lanka collected only 26 runs with the loss of two wickets.

End of first match was completely nightmare for the Sri Lankans after having amazing start they lost the match in last over but here in second match things completely out of their way as New Zealand start is impressive and Kane Williamson after giving up from captaincy turn into amazing batsman have completed his 8000 runs as he is first kiwi player who achieved this milestone and also completed his double hundred have 580 runs on board after end of two days look like this is going to be another defeat for the Sri Lankans which are having 26 for 2 in reply so things looking completely down for them even any prediction is still not easy but most chances we will have big defeat for the visitors in this match after amazing stuff from Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls.
