Mubarak Indymoney ,Just as you were shocked today, I am sure West Indies were also shocked by the performance of England batsmen today. They would not have thought in their wildest dreams that England will come back so strong in the 2nd test. I see England will easily win this one from here as a lot of runs on the board will make West Indies in more pressure.

What happened in the first test was an upset. We were expecting England to whitewash the West Indies, and still the latter managed to beat the former. That defeat might have forced the English players to leave complicity behind. On paper England is much ahead of West Indies, at least in this format. They can lose only if they make mistakes or don't take their opponents seriously.

West indies are ruining the match for themselves. Started so well in first two sessions but now have given England time to settle. This will create problems for them as if England goes for something 400+ it's going to be problematic for West indies both ways. If they score equally good match will go towards draw otherwise towards losing. ^^ lol sorry, I didn't mean to. English batsmen were looking shaky at that moment. Bowling attack of England looks good on paper but west indies pretty much decoded that in previous game too.

West Indies decided to bowl and might find themselves in a shock now that England have comeback strongly in 2nd test with losing just 3 wickets and making 207 on first day of the play. Sibley and Stokes managed to establish a good partnership and if they can hold for the first session of today's play they can easily manage to target 400+ runs in first innings.
I missed yesterdays game, but what I saw from the match highlights is that the Windies let themselves down with some very poor/reluctant fielding and dropping out some sitters. Sibley doesn't look settled in my view and he is as vulnerable as early in the game but Stokes looks more fluent and settled. So, if Windies could somehow break this partnership and pick up a few wickets then they can stop them from crossing 400 thereby standing a chance to get back into the game.

Looks like the 2nd match will result in an English win unless we witness sudden twists like the previous match. I had high hopes for West Indies when England lost 3 wickets quickly, but Stokes and Sibley destroyed my hope.
Am expecting England to post something close to 400 at this rate. Great comeback by England. It looks like the 3rd test could be the decider in this case.

Yesterday first session was completely for West Indies but after taking first 3 wickets suddenly they goes down and sloppy and now match is going away from them as Sibley and Stokes doing very good job for England 150+ runs partnership already if they added 100+ then surely they will completely in command and may be they won this match by big margin currently both batsmen doing good tactics and have all in control.

come on guys atleast let west Indies come into bat once. Bowling attack of England looks good on paper but west indies pretty much decoded that in previous game too. Stuard Broad is back in the team but there is no James Anderson and Jofra Archer and the team selection is really confusing and the English batsman is playing well and Ben Stokes is still in the crease and looking to score a double century and if the West Indies players could play a longer innings then we might see a draw, it all depends how many runs England could score in the first innings and how West Indies play their innings.

Tea Break 41 overs left today.. and score is 378/5
Any prediction on declaration? 450 sounds good? How about give 12-15 overs to Windies so that English bowler could get a chance to strike 1-2 wickets with the new ball? no matter what score is.

In next 25 overs they can do 100+ as Buttler and Stokes on and after reaching 480 to 500 they can take control as now West Indian moral going down which is not good signal with last hour in batting can give them more disaster and England can win this match by an inning.

Yeah, 450 runs sounds good but with the sudden loss of wickets they probably won't reach it or they'll go for some heavy hitting and end up over 450. Irrespective of the score, ENG should declare and let Windies bat for 10-15 overs and try to pick some wickets.

England finally declared for 469/9 and the final wicket was frustrating the West Indies bowlers as they put on 42 runs before the England captain declaring the innings and i think Stuart Broad should be sent earlier rather than sending him as the last batsman because he does have a Test century against Pakistan, lets see how West Indies is going to respond as England is not having their best bowling line up.

Early wicket falls for West Indies now. Sam Curran takes wicket in first over itself. Why am I having a gut feeling that West Indian batting is going to skittle today one by one. Brathwaite batted really well in previous match all eyes are on him now how he bats from here. If West Indies bat for till first session day 4 or even can bat upto end of day 3, they can take this match towards a draw. That's the best thing I think West Indies can try winning the match from here is almost impossible. Even the win meter says West Indies has 2% chance of winning.

I see Zero percent chance of WI wining this one. There is no way West Indies can chase 469 but the question is whether they can avoid the follow on or not. They they 269 runs to avoid the follow on and i think the pressure on the batsmen will make this task impossible.

I can say England are back they have done their job, this is going to be a one sided match. If England can get some early wickets, I do not think West Indies will be able to achieve the target of more than 400 runs.

they now require a very good partnership and somebody to play a long inning to help WI make a comeback in the match.
They don't have many test match winners in their team in order to form such big partnerships. They won the 1st match thanks to great individual performances and some luck. Who knows what will happen, England does not have their best bowling line up and if two players put up a good partnership then there will be a good chance of a draw but for that first they need to avoid the follow on and then bat as long as possible and frustrate the England bowlers and if they can bat the entire day then they will have 2 more days, it all depends upon how the West Indies players are going to perform and how long they can bat.
Do you really think that the West Indian batsmen are capable of playing the long game here? I don't think so. England came back strongly in this match and I don't see any hope for West Indies to be honest.
