Also, I found out that Jaiswal has the 3rd highest test debut score after Dhawan(187) and Sharma(177). Epic stuff!

India is playing like this is really easy for them. Really do not think that West Indies actually has any chance to win this match. India is just making things look easy and we all certainly agree that India is far better compared to West Indies.

I have a bet on India and Australia to win. It seems India to win is a sure bet but the next one for me will be challenging. England came back strong after wining the last match. The series is now 2 - 1. If they lose the next match then they will lose series. Will be a tough match considering the close results in the last three matches. Australia have a habit to handle pressure and win in pressure. Let's see what they will do in the 4th test. If they win then I will have some nice profit. After all it is The Ashes.

Currently, West Indies are batting in their second innings and remain 264 runs behind. They will have to make sure that they stay in the middle as long as possible. Otherwise, they are going to lose wickets pretty quickly. They will have to make sure that they do not lose by an innings the difference first. After that, they will have to make sure to give India a good total to chase down. But that is going to be really hard.

I am pretty unhappy for Jaiswal to be honest, this man played his best cricket for 380 balls and then just made one small stupid mistake and eventually it costed him a double hundred on the debut. It would have been a really crazy thing to do on your debut. Talking about match I think it was very apparent on the first day that India will win.

The performances by Jiaswal and Rohit were truly mesmerizing. Rohit Sharma was not in form. Then he scored a brilliant century. On the other hand, although Jaiswal performed well, if he batted with a little more patience, he could have scored a double-century. It was his misfortune. Still, I will say Jaiswal's performance was excellent.

Like the first innings, West Indies are batting badly in the second innings as well. The first 4 batsmen of their top order had a total of just 30 runs. West Indies lost 6 wickets, and now they have managed to collect 100 runs, they are still behind India by 171 runs. And after losing 6 top-order batsmen I don't see any possibility of West Indies being able to collect 171 more runs.

There is no audience on the ground. If the same match have been played in India, BCCI could've made good revenue out of the match tickets. I don't know whether the interest of people have declined or this is just because it is a test match.

India is definitely going to win this match by an innings difference. They have only lost two wickets. It is only the end of day two. India is leading by 162 and they still have eight wickets in hand. They are certainly going to play that whole third day for sure. They will probably declare at the end of the third day or maybe at the start of the fourth day. I do not think that they are going to get all out before that. After that, probably India will have a lead of more than 300. West Indies is not going to get 300 in their second innings for sure.

Look like the Indian batsmen are having good batting practice. They have no match pressure on them and they are exploring the conditions to their very best. Just look at their scorecard, Yashasvi Jaiswal was not out at 162 runs and the captain Rohit Sharma made 103 runs. They must be looking for a win by an innings in this match.

As far as the West Indies are concerned, I feel pity for them. First, they are out of 50 over World Cup qualification, and every match they play, they always find themselves on the losing side. Look like, the cricket just not suits them now.

India is currently performing really well. India is actually of course to get a really big score. They have already scored 419/5 and they already have a lead of 269. This is already a very good score by India. I think Virat Kohli genuinely missed out on a century in this match. West Indies has been very inconsistent in their performance. They have also conceded a lot of extras in this match so far. This is already a score which West Indies is going to find hard to chase. India is also still scoring and have five wickets in hand. So the target is going to be really big.

West Indies have completely lost their spirit towards the game they are performing poorly in Test matches.
India scored 419 runs yesterday and lost 5 wickets, leading West Indies by 269 runs. Due to poor bowling performance of West Indies, they could not put India under pressure due to which India's score increased rapidly. Meanwhile, West Indies batting performance has been very poor and bowling performance has not improved. Due to which West Indies scored 130 runs in the second match losing their entire wicket which was a poor batting performance. However, India's bowling performance was excellent, they put West Indies under huge pressure and quickly fell wickets. Due to which India was able to win the series by a huge margin where they won by 141 runs in the first innings. Indeed Indian batsmen can score great and bowlers show exceptional bowling performance which makes their game interesting.

Bit disrespectful "career stats" tbh, considering he was dropped from the last Windies tour and in the last WTC cycle windies were undefeated at home. In the last cycle, they have beaten England and Bangladesh and drew a series against Pakistan.

Yes, one can argue that they are the weaker side when playing against India and it's true but it wasn't a tight match but complete domination, that's what you expect when big teams play against weaker sides.

West Indies team faced a tough challenge against India. It's clear that this West Indies team would have struggled against any teams.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were enough to bowl out West Indies team.

It was an impressive performance by the Indian side, particularly their spin duo. Ashwin bowled exceptionally well, taking 12 wickets in his 45 overs.

This is also part of ICC Test championship and India will definitely start with 2 wins.

A big congratulations to Team India on this well-deserved win. Remember, a win is always worth celebrating, regardless of the circumstances.

I was expecting something from son of Shivnarine Chanderpaul i.e. Tagenarine Chanderpaul but he scored only 12 & 7 in both innings. After scoring only 150 in first innings West indies should have scored some respectable score in second innings but nothing such happened in second innings. West Indies team need some serious reforms and urgently.

Right Wi playing very bad cricket even though he does not qualify for Word Cup 2023. What a shocking display of cricket by India They secured a remarkable victory against West Indies winning by an innings and 141 runs. The Indian team show amazing performance and teamwork especially the bowling performance by Ravichandran Ashwin exceptional  picking 12 wickets played a crucial role in this victory but the batting performance of Yashasvi Jaiswal is outstanding scored 171 runs get the well deserved title Player of the Match.

In his 176 innings, Ashwin has picked 486 wickets. He is mostly included in test squad and not included mostly for ODI and T20 assignments. Over the years Ashwin has worked hard to get positing of what Nathan Lyon  is for Australia. I don't think there are many out there who underestimate role of Ashwin as a spinner in Indian test squad. His recent performance in test proved that he is integral part of Indian test squad.

It should be, how bad West Indies are playing and it was expected India would win the match easily, only surprised when India declared the innings as i thought it should be a batting practice for all the players and improve their average  . Yashasvi Jaiswal will be the find of the season and hopefully he will be able to perform well against better teams.

Over the years Ashwin has worked hard to get positing of what Nathan Lyon  is for Australia. I don't think there are many out there who underestimate role of Ashwin as a spinner in Indian test squad. His recent performance in test proved that he is integral part of Indian test squad.

Ashwin is a much better bowler than Nathan Lyon and it is reflected in his bowling average, and Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are integral to all the major wins by India in the past decade and India will find it hard to find a player that could replace him once he retires from Cricket.

If you make the World XI of the current decade then Ashwin will walk in easily and if you look at his batting as a number 8 batter. Every team would love to have a bowler, who is handy with the bat. We shouldn't forget he has 5 tons in international cricket.

How much confidence in themselves a team batting just one innings with 5 wickets in hand declares the innings scoring only 421 runs and wins the match again by an innings margin and 141 runs. This is what we saw in the first Test match between West Indies vs India. West Indies could not score the same number of runs as India's half innings in 2 innings.  

150 in the first innings and 130 in the second innings can never be Test cricket scores. After a poor first innings, the second innings had a chance to save the team from losing by an innings to a place of honour, but West Indies failed even more in the second innings.  

Losing and winning is a part of the game but defeat must be fought and defeated. West Indies were dishonored in the first test against India.

I disagree. What is the definition of a good spinner? Does he have to move the ball like crazy like Warne or Murali? Does he have to take wickets whenever the team is a bad place? Does he need to give away less runs overall?

For me, a good spinner is someone who answers the last 2 questions effectively. Lyon's bowling average is decent and he took 526 wickets in just 153 matches : Good spinner!
