Ireland got their first win against South Africa in ODI cricket. They played a well balanced game today and deserve the victory. Although the first match was abandoned for rain but Ireland has also batted well in that match. Beside the low order batting lineup, South Africa need to improve their bowling too. Can't say how they will perform in the last ODI but I would like to keep them (Ireland) ahead in that match.

Ireland is showing a lot of improvement. Their batting is showing a lot of depth. Earlier, they would just fold up in case Paul Stirling get out. But this time, Stirling fell cheaply, and Porterfield was not available due to injury. And yet Balbirnie and Tector batted very sensibly, with Dockrell adding some quick runs in the end. And in the bowling department, Craig Young was exceptional. And South Africa should blame themselves. They took the match very casually and decided to rest both Ngidi and Quinton de Kock.

South Africa's overall cricket future looking bleak atm, their players migrating here and there and recent events back in home indicating civil war kind of scenrio. England on the other hand showing off their bench strength in limited over cricket, although for them test cricket only means The Ashes. Australia is doing okay in Test cricket but nowadays in limited overs cricket they are looking average especially their mighty bowlers which used to be their main weapon. Windies are giants in T-20 but lagging in other format miserably.

Pakistan doing what it does best so nothing surprising but damn i thought their fielding were improving but they were really shitty on the field yesterday. Sri lanka is royally fucked. I have no hope from the Bangladesh. Kiwis were excellent in last 2 years across all format. Indian team also got strong bench strength and played excellent cricket in last 4-5 years in every format but they keep failing in final exams.

I’m totally surprised the way SA let their guard down in this match, and they deserved to lose this match and hopefully they’ll learn their lesson of never underestimating their opponent. Furthermore Ireland has gained valuable points from this match, and if they can win more matches then it’ll help them in the new ICC tournament.

There is no point in talking about the situation in South Africa, because it is never going to change. But I was shocked by their decision to rest two of their best players for the match (de Kock and Ngidi). And that probably cost them 10 points in the ODI league. For a team that had just 14 points before the match, I would say that it was not a very bright decision to leave out two of the in form players. I agree with you on Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. But I have a lot of hope for Pakistan.. there is a lot of talent in that country.

What happened to Mustafizur Rahman he only bowled 5 balls, is he injured or bowled beamers and banned from bowling, i liked Mustafizur Rahman when he started but he did not fulfill his potential for Bangladesh and he is young and he can still achieve those if he works hard  .

As Mustafizur Rahman joined the Bangladesh squad with unprecedented talent, as Bangladesh Cricket Management had hoped on him, Mustafizur Rahman did not live up to their expectations. Seeing his bowling, it seems that he is losing his talent day by day. On the other hand, Taskin Ahmed has made himself better through hard work. He was dropped from the squad, now he proved his worth and is now back in the Bangladesh team again, has done well in first Test matches against Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe cricket is like a black hole. Whatever money spent there just vanishes without a trace. The ICC financial model is just ridiculous. Zimbabwe gets around $12 million in funds per year, while teams like Nepal and Canada receive less than 1% of that amount. First of all, the full member status should not be permanent. ICC should remove the full member status, if teams like Zimbabwe are not performing up to the mark. When was the last time they managed to beat a full member nation? They don't play any matches against teams such as Netherlands and Nepal. If they play, then they will lose those matches as well.

When it mattered Tamim Iqbal went for a duck, during the warm up match he performed well and i thought he will continue that today but Bangladesh is struggling and if not for the century of Liton Das their situation will be pathetic as none of them is playing well to built a partnership and i wont be surprised if Zimbabwe wins the match and they depend on their top order and if they perform they will win.

There was a lot of corruption in the Zimbabwe board. After overcoming all the crises, Zimbabwe is performing as it is now, I would say they deserve praise. We also heard a few years ago that the Zimbabwe Cricket Board will be abolished. But they put an end to all their internal problems and are now back in cricket. Hopefully, gradually they will be able to stabilize themselves.

Bangladesh is hard to predict, i did not expect them to cross 250 runs and now they are able to set a target of 277 runs, i should have went with the first innings score of above 238 runs but i was not confident when they lost 4 wickets for 74 runs and their major players were back in the pavilion and then to come back into the match with their tail end players is incredible and they now have a good total to defend.

They are performing as expected, but they lack basic skills like batting, bowling, and fielding. Every team goes through highs and lows, problem is the moment this team wins a major match praising the "we are simply so unpredictable" nature. How long will the team keep this as a proud tag? Pakistan must concentrate on this and start requiring more consistency from all its players.

I don't think that their performance in England during this pandemic period should be taken as a yardstick. Even India struggled in England recently. I would still say that as a team, Pakistan has shown a lot of improvement recently. Their batting is still overdependent (to a degree) on Babar Azam, but others (such as Fakhar Zaman) have now stepped up their game. Also, the pace bowling department is showing a lot of maturity nowadays, after such a long gap. The pace combination of Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali and Haris Rauf remains a lot of people of the golden period two decades ago, when Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar used to open the bowling for Pakistan.

When Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar were there, Pakistan's bowling lineup was one of the best in the world. Moreover, even when Afridi and Hafeez were in the team, Pakistan performed well enough. They still have a lot of talented players in their team. Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman are talented enough. But they are failing to perform regularly.

Wasim, Waqar, and Shoaib is history now. That was the best bowling attack i ever witness in any ODI team. If we have a glorious past, it does not mean the the present will be same. If the players won't perform, we will be left out and then no one will be interested to watch the matches of our team.
Pakistan should rethink if they are serious to save their cricket or we will be just history.

You forgot to take the name of Sri Lanka. It is difficult to predict when and how this team will perform. Betting on cricket matches is still becoming very difficult. From this it is easier to guess about the result of a football match. Tamim Iqbal could not score today, but Liton's extraordinary performance has enabled Bangladesh to collect so much.

This is the nature of cricket game. It's not about Asian cricket teams only. Every team tries to play slowly and save their wickets after losing some wickets quickly. Remaining batsman set the target to make quick runs in last few overs. Bangladesh team just followed this method today and got the success too. Zimbabwean batsman showed poor performance and lost the game by huge runs. Bangladesh team may win the next two match in the same way.

If Bangladesh team can put a decent total on board then they have the bowlers to trouble the Zimbabwe batsman and that is what we saw today. Even though Bangladesh struggled in the middle overs they were able to put a good target on the board then they can easily foil the plan of Zimbabwe to win the match and Bangladesh will win the series.

Another match that i was anticipating was South Africa and Ireland, to everyone's surprise they won a match against South Africa and if they could somehow manage to hold them or weather intervention they could win a historic series against them but South Africa won the match easily.
