Qualifier matches were going. In the match between Papua New Guinea and Jersey we were able to see good score coming. Jersey made 291 runs and while chasing the target Papua New Guinea was able to reach 280 runs. Two centuries have come from Jersey and 3 half centuries have come from Papua New Guinea players that's really good cricket from these teams.

And both these teams are out of contention for the next round. Only the top-2 teams are going to qualify for the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier. At this point Jersey is having 2 points and Papua New Guinea 0. For Jersey, they need to win the next 2 matches and hope that the other teams lose some of theirs, to have any chance of qualifying. PNG has been eliminated. At this point, there are 4 teams with 4 points each - Namibia, United States, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. Chances are that two among these 4 will qualify for the next round.

Although the UAE squad is strong enough, they are not playing well consistently. On the other hand, the performance of USA bowlers is good. At the same time, the batsmen are also able to perform well. The USA will play against PNG today. I hope the USA win this match.

South Africa VS  Netherlands

The South Africa team is now batting after losing the toss in the last ODI match of the series against the Netherlands. The first match was abandoned. And in the second match, South Africa won quite easily.
South Africa did not start the innings well. South Africa lost the wickets of the first two batsmen de Kock and Bahuma very quickly. de Kock returned to the dressing room with 8 runs and Bavuma 6 runs. After 15 overs, South Africa can collect 75 runs. Dussen and Marakram are batting very responsibly. I don't think the Netherlands will win the match. However, if South Africa's top order does not play well, the match will become very competitive.

I missed the starting of the match and hence missed out on wagging a bet because Netherlands was not a competitive team for the South African squad and if there is no rain intervention like the first ODI, South Africa will be winning easily and this is the perfect opportunity for new players to get some experience and cement their place for the next World Cup.

As expected South Africa destroyed the Netherlands team in the first ODI. They scored only 189 runs after batting for more than 45 overs. A score below 200 in ODI is not at all competitive. In just 30 overs and after losing 2 wickets SA won the match. I am expecting the same kind of outcome in today's match too. SA has lost 2 wickets and has scored 76 runs in 15 overs.

Moreover, according to the current score, South Africa has bounced back from that situation. Aiden Markram and Rassie van der Dussen formed a good partnership. If they can build a bigger partnership then they can easily win this match. On the contrary if Netherlands pick up some early wickets then the direction of the match can change. Since South Africa has better players their winning chance in the match comparatively will be higher.

In this match we have been able to determine that it is difficult for the Netherlands to catch up on points so that our hopes for South Africa will really come true.
The two teams have also given quite good game performance but the Netherlands still can't follow and keep up with South Africa's game this time.
Perhaps this will be the last meeting between them in the ODI series.

South Africa won the match smoothly by 146 runs   they did brilliant batting and balling wise they totally nailed it .

So now Netherlands lost the series and their place in world cup too .

I ্was confident that South Africa would win even they lost 3 wickets in 20 overs. If the runs were less, South Africa's chances of winning would have been higher. Netherlands has yet to show any progress in cricket. Although Netherlands could not win, many small teams are beating big teams. For example, Bangladesh beat England a few days ago and Ireland also beat Bangladesh in a match. There will always be uncertainty in cricket. Nothing can ever be said with 100% certainty.

Just one more significant match remains in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League, and tomorrow South Africa will take on Netherlands for the last match in this league for both the teams. South Africa has 88 points so far. West Indies also have the same number of points, but Net Run Rate for South Africa is much better than that of West Indies (-0.255 vs -0.738). In order for West Indies to finish ahead of South Africa, then the latter should lose their match against Netherlands by 2,000 runs or so. So we can safely assume at this point that South Africa has qualified to participate in the ODI World Cup of 2023.

South Africa were too much eager to win today's game against Netherlands. Aiden Markram 175 runs on 126 balls and Millar quick knock of 91 runs on 61 balls was the reason South Africa gave a target of 380 runs. Sisanda Magala had his best bowling figures of ODI and in the end an easy win for South Africa.
I noticed one thing in World Cup Super League Points table, Afghanistan is sitting at number 7th position and has played just 15 games and most of such games were against Bangladesh, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Netherlands

The team have reached 224 runs losing entire wickets and more than 10 overs left in the innings. Though this isn't a winning match I see improvement in the Netherlands team. Most of these teams have been getting better over time.

Netherlands tried their best to chase but their batting lineup is not strong and long , they have one or two good batsman that performed which is why they lost .

Most of the players are very young, few were in their teen age and can expect them to be playing better cricket in the future. You are Right the Netherlands team was able to defeat South Africa in the latest T20 World Cup which ultimately resulted in South Africa failure to qualify for the semi finals of T20 world cup. That why the recent matches between South Africa and Netherlands were crucial for South Africa's direct qualification to the ODI World Cup. The outcome of these matches had a direct impact on South Africa fate in the tournament. But South Africa was able to win both of these matches which secured their spot in the upcoming ODI World Cup.
