I am sure that many people will support and predict that Bangladesh will win because they are a team that cannot be underestimated, even in the last meeting Bangladesh could win the match against Ireland.
Even though Ireland will have the advantage because the match will take place in England, I still believe that Bangladesh can win like in the previous match.
So far Bangladesh has always been a good team in every match of the ODI series.

Bangladesh has been really good in last couple of series and now this is their test that they have improved to that entend or as speculations home ground advantages .
Ireland have one more  chance to prove themselves.

Bangladesh is good with its performance. Ireland on the other side have shown some tremendous performance against Sri Lanka in the test match and grabbed the attention of the cricket viewers. Though Ireland lost both the test matches it could've let other teams understand the ability of each and every player. I believe this series to be really a big fighting one between the two teams. Match being played on England there'll be small home advantage for Ireland.

This had come as a result of BCCI announcement that India won't travel to Pakistan for Asia Cup matches. With this the participation of Pakistan is unclear. Pakistan continue to conduct the tournament in home with India matches alone played in Dubai. The broadcasters hadn't shown interest on it along with the summer being very hard in Dubai which makes it difficult for the players. Even Oman have requested to host the tournament.

Extremely unfair for Pakistan, but this is how things work. I can understand the stance from the BCCI. But I am baffled with the politics being played by the SLCB and BCB in this instance. Rather than staying neutral, these two have openly sided with the BCCI and in the end the PCB suffers. Now what are the options left for PCB? As mentioned by romero121, one of the options would be to boycott the tournament. But a more logical option would be to demand compensation from the ACC and assurances for the future tournaments. This can't go on for ever.

There is a lot of competition as far as ODI ratings are concerned. The top-4 teams (Australia, India, Pakistan and England) are separated by a few decimals each. Anyway, these ratings change constantly and doesn't matter much. What matters is the performance at ODI World Cup of 2023, which is just a few months away. For Pakistan, the target is nothing short of winning the trophy this time.

I am looking forward to Bangladesh vs Ireland series. Today the first ODI match of the series is going to be played in Chelmsford.
The Bangladesh team is in very good form now in the ODI format. In the last two series, Bangladesh dominated and won against England and Ireland. The players of Bangladesh did a great performance. However, series two was Bangladesh's home match. And the Bangladesh team at home is always strong. However, this series against Ireland is going to be held in England. England pitches generally provide more support to pace bowlers. And so I am waiting to see how Bangladesh players perform on such a pitch. But I think the Bangladesh team will maintain their consistency. And Bangladesh will win this series by dominating against Ireland.

It seems Bangladesh & Afghanistan had also voted for the Asia cup to be shifted out of Pakistan and to be hosted in Srilanka. Now the only option left for Pakistan to boycott the tournament. Bad news for cricket fans who wanted to see these two teams play against each other.

It is also unclear now what will be PCB's stand on the ODIWC. I do not think they can boycott the ICC tournament but I am sure they will ask ICC to shift their matches from India.

Ireland won the toss and took the fielding decision. And at the beginning of the innings, Ireland's bowlers managed to take the wicket of Liton Das. Liton Das failed to collect any runs in the first round. He returned to the dressing room with the first ball. Liton Das has played well in the last few series. So the expectation was that he would maintain consistency.
Tamim Iqbal and Shanto are batting now. If these two batsmen are not able to play well, if they are not able to form a big partnership, then it will be difficult to collect big scores in today's match.

At the moment Bangladesh's team runs 42 for 2 wickets in 7.5 overs. If Bangladesh can score 300+ runs in this match today then I think Bangladesh can win the first ODI match against Ireland today. Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl first in the opening ODI of the series against Bangladesh and it appears that they made the right choice. With Bangladesh reaching 185 runs in 37 overs while losing 5 wickets Ireland appears to have a challenging total to reach. Cricket is still in its early stages, so anything is possible, but it will be interesting to see how the match develops. It should be noted that the weather in Chelmsford may be fairly difficult for teams from the subcontinent, particularly when facing pace and swing bowlers. It will therefore be interesting to see how the Bangladeshi batsmen approach the Irish bowlers and whether Ireland can prevail in this critical opening match. Overall, I think the match will be exciting, and I can not wait to see what happens next.

In today's match, Liton Das spelled disaster for Bangladesh early on and got out LBW on the first ball. Tamim Iqbal did not perform very well, getting out for only 14 runs. If the lower order batsmen including Nazmul Hasan Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim had not performed well, Bangladesh could not have gone above 200 runs. Bangladesh finished the innings at 246/9 and set Ireland a target of 247 runs. How well Ireland can perform only time will tell but opportunities await Ireland in today's match and Ireland have a 50-50 chance. If Bangladesh's bowling department does well, they will be able to put pressure on Ireland's batsmen.

At the end of the first innings, Bangladesh managed to score 246 runs against Ireland. I still don't understand how 246 runs is a fighting score in England where hosts Ireland.  However, it was not surprising if the total runs were a little more because at the end of 25 overs, Bangladesh's score was in a good condition, from there, if Bangladesh could have kept the wicket, Bangladesh's score would have reached close to 300.  

Today only Mushfiqur Rahim has to be praised, he is the only batsman of Bangladesh who scored a half century in today's match. Hope he is happy to score 61 runs on his birthday and play a big role for the team. Maybe that's why he's Mr. Dependable.

This match is being played in England but this ground is famous for bowling performance. Because in today's ODI match, the Bangladesh team could not put the ball together with the bat. And right at the start of the game, Bangladesh team's opening batsman Liton Das got out and Bangladesh team was under a lot of pressure as the responsibility of the next players increased. 
The number of wickets fell by the Bangladesh team was high due to which the Bangladesh team could not score a single run against Ireland. But I hope the Bangladeshi team will have to show a good performance for the Bangladesh team to win.
Only this short run gap can be filled by Ireland because Ireland is a strong country in this England ground. So if the Bangladesh team can put pressure on Ireland in terms of bowling, then the Bangladesh team can definitely win.

A few days ago, various comments were made in the Bangladesh Cricket Management Board about Mushfiqur Rahim's performance, but they may have forgotten Mushfiqur Rahim's past performance. Mushfiqur Rahim's contribution to Bangladesh cricket is undeniable, he won many matches for Bangladesh with his patience and mental strength. I saw such a performance of Mushfiqur Rahim in today's match. Had he not batted patiently in this batting disaster of Bangladesh and played an impeccable innings of 61 runs, Bangladesh would not have scored 246 runs. If Bangladesh wins today, it will be only because of his contribution.
